    Peace WayFinder,

The problem is that vocalization marks were added to alquran later and are purely man made. So the dispute is not whether wahdahu can be attached to alqurani because it cannot. The dispute is whether it is "wahdahu" or "wahdihi". The context is used also to determine the correct meaning, so in such a case of dispute over the vocalization marks, the context is what determines the true vocalization.

If you go through my previous post and see the context of 1746 that I quoted, it is crystal clear that in 1746 it can only be "wahdahu" meaning Lord alone, and not "wahdihi" meaning Quran alone. The whole passage is about "tawheed"/oneness of God as opposed to other gods besides Him. This is also supported when you compare 1741 with 1746 which are similar implying Lord alone.

    Peace
Here you read Christians criticism showing how the meaning of words can be changed by altering the letters same shape like Ba Tah Sa or Jeem .Hah, kha ??ra za ?.but their claim has no base when code 19 in those 29 chapters sealing words .
But vocalization is not protected by code as later was added to Quran.
What would be wrong if we write Wahidi ?
    I am learning .
    Peace.

These guys are totally neglecting that the main form of preservation was through memorization... When we have hundreds or thousands of people reciting the very same text and they all tally to one another... then putting the diacritics on the alphabets is not a big deal at all... Memorization of the holy quran is still a very common practice in the muslim ummah till now and we have tens of thousands of huffaaz(memorisers) walking on the face of this earth... Will they neglect this fact ?

        Peace WayFinder,

That said... I still disapprove your translation of the above verse since Grammar-wise it is INCORRECT... Arabic grammar is derived from the Quran itself... So it cannot be incorrect... The translation you are giving (quran alone) is more of YOUR INTERPRETATION of the verse and NOT THE WORD FOR WORD translation...

What exactly do you mean by saying that Arabic grammar is derived from the Quran?

The words has been ARRANGED by ALLAH the MOST-WISE to convey both message at the same time... QURAN ALONE through the direct wording/translation and GOD ALONE through the interpretation/reference...

I agree with the message of GOD ALONE, but I still have to disagree on your translation. You may be correct, though, in saying that possibly GOD, who is the most wise, placed these words together to refer to both meanings. However, in the message saying "QURAN ALONE", it is still alluding to this fact, since the Quran proclaims the message of worshipping GOD ALONE...

        Peace Truthseeker,

If you go through my previous post and see the context of 1746 that I quoted, it is crystal clear that in 1746 it can only be "wahdahu" meaning Lord alone, and not "wahdihi" meaning Quran alone. The whole passage is about "tawheed"/oneness of God as opposed to other gods besides Him. This is also supported when you compare 1741 with 1746 which are similar implying Lord alone.

This is also incorrect. I already posted 1744 and 45, and they are speaking of the universes glorifying GOD, and they lead up to Him mentioning the Quran, saying that He places a barrier between those who read it with understanding and those who reject it's message. If 1746 was saying "Lord alone in the Quran", it would say "rabbaka wahdahu fee alquran". So, if GOD was speaking about another reference to the Lord alone (or God alone), then why doesn't He say this? Instead, He attaches the word to the Quran, saying "rabbaka fee alqurani wahdahu". Why do you think this is done?

        Peace,

        Ahmad

First they are not Muslim they are Mohammedans. Then is not practical to bring those ten thousands as witness for accuracy of verses when such forging is on the line. At the end how many can understand the Arabic grammars, root of words , spelling ....etc. hence all they need to see proof by Miracle on this screnn is knowing how to +-/* 1-9 .

They dont call themselves "Mohammedans" the least you could do is describe in a way that you and they would agree, not some name that is made up. They follow Quran + Hadith.
So refer to them as Muslims who follow Quran + Hadith instead of using the term "Mohammedans" which is very offensive and rude.

Mohammedan (variant forms Muhammadan, Mahommedan or Mahometan) is a term used as both a noun and an adjective meaning belonging or relating to either the religion of Islam or to that of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

I performed some research regard the verse 1749 whether the WAHDAHOU in the verse is used for Allah or for the Quran... My earlier position was that WAHDAHOO is for Allah and in the verse, it should be translated GOD ALONE and not QURAN ALONE... According to grammar rules... I did not deeper research on this we could not reach an agreement and my research lead me to conclude that INDEED, WAHDAHOO is being used for Allah and not for the Quran... I will expose my findings here and anyone can reply me on this....

First and foremost, I would like you to ask yourself this question... DO YOU THINK THERE ARE COINCIDENCE IN THE QURAN? For example, regarding the use of words, the placement of these words as well as the number these words has been used all over the Quran...

My personal answer to this question... I firmly believe that there is NO SUCH COINCIDENCE in the Quran and everything presented in it, in whichever way, has a purpose... and meaningS....

                So regarding WAHDAHOO....

My first step is to go through the Quran index (Mo3JAM AL MUFAHRIS) and to look for HOW MANY TIMES the word WAHDAHOO has been used and the most important one, HOW IS HAS BEEN USED...

The word WAHDAHOO has been used 6 times exactly all over the Quran in the following verses... 770/1746/3945/4012/4084/604

770 They answered "Hast thou come to us that we worship God alone, and give up all that our forefathers were wont to worship? Bring about, then, that with which thou hast threatened us, if thou art a man of truth!"

1746 for, over their hearts We have laid veils which prevent them from grasping its purport, and into their ears, deafness. And so, whenever thou dost mention, while reciting the Qur'an, thy Sustainer as the one and only Divine Being, they turn their backs in aversion.

3945 And yet, whenever God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who will not believe in the life to come contract with bitter aversion - whereas, when those are mentioned side by side with Him, lo, they rejoice!

4012 This because, whenever the One God was invoked, you denied this truth; whereas, when divinity was ascribed to aught beside Him, you believed ! But all judgment rests with God, the Exalted, the Great!

4084 And then, when they beheld Our punishment, they said We have come to believe in the One God, and we have renounced all belief in that to which we were wont to ascribe a share in His divinity!

604 Indeed, you have had a good example in Abraham and those who followed him, when they said unto their people "Verily, we are quit of you and of all that you worship instead of God we deny the truth of whatever you believe; and between us and you there has arisen enmity and hatred, to last until such a time as you come to believe in the One God!" The only exception was Abraham's saying to his father "I shall indeed pray for forgiveness for thee, although I have it not in my power to obtain anything from God in thy behalf." "O our Sustainer! In Thee have we placed our trust, and unto Thee do we turn for unto Thee is all journeys' end.

If you read these verses and study it, you will immediately notice that in each and every instance the word WAHDAHOO is being used, it is attached to GOD... In all 6 instances... So do you think it is a coincidence.... and 1746 should stand out of the crowd... and wahdahoo being attach to Quran.... This is definitely not the case according to the way Allah has used the word WAHDAHOO in all these 6 times...

Those who do programming will know that there are RESERVE WORDS which cannot be used to identify other variables... For me, it seem that WAHDAHOO is reserved only to be used with GOD since ISLAM is about worshipping ONE AND ONLY GOD and not associating anything with it... Therefore, WAHDAHOO which means HIM ALONE is being used with GOD all over the Quran... Look for yourself and see if you can find other verses where WAHDAHOO is being used with something else... I challenge you that you will not find any... )

I have taken a big RISK here by saying the ALLAH uses WAHDAHOO for him alone... I came to this conclusion because I did not find other cases of the noun WAHD being used in the QURAN except like WAHDAHOO... there is NO WAHDAHAA,WAHDANAA,WAHDAKA,WAHDAKI,WAHDAHOUMAA and so on... ONLY ONLY WAHDAHOO is present in the QURAN... You think its a coincidence? ...

So my findings regarding the WAHDAHOO issue is as follows, every single instance where WAHDAHOO is being used by GOD, it is been used to refer to HIM ALONE and not anyone/anything else...

These findings are based on the Quran and it use as a SELF REFERENCE GUIDE.... So remember my first question... DO YOU BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCES IN THE QURAN??

Another proof of how the Quran explains itself and erase all confusion that might arouse....

                Allah knows best...

I agree with you on one issue - I don't believe there are any coincidences in GOD's message. In the passages you posted, it is plainly clear of the position of the word "wahdahu" throughout the text, and it is always attached to GOD Himself, never to anything else. The EXCEPTION is 1746. In this verse, there is a clear distinguishment of the words, and if GOD wanted to use another reference to "GOD ALONE", it would've been written just like the other instances. But instead, it says "alqurani wahdahu", when it could say "rabbaka wahdahu" or "allahu wahdahu". The question is DO YOU THINK THIS IS A COINCIDENCE?

                  Peace,

                  Ahmad

                    Peace;
I posted the verse that supports my opinion; it is a very well-established verse.
Moreover, I do not see any story about a Female Messanger or Prophet in Quran; the Frequancy of Male Prophet (or Messanger) Vs Female is 100% to 0%. Moreover, due to the hardship (physically and psychologically) that Messangers face, and due to God Mercy, Females were not choosen to perform such duties. If you think otherwise, please provide well-established verses that are stronger in meaning than 6-9.

                          Peace,

I agree with you and why would God only prefer male messengers?
If He says that both male and females are equals then it would be equal in who can be a messenger also.

And Maryam and Queen of Sheba was indeed women

                          Maria

I dont notice in the Quran that Allah prefers males. Is actually the other way around, Allah regards Females as special creation. Sura Nisa makes that clear in the first ayah!

By the Qur'an, full of Wisdom,-

Females, according to God, were never given a Book, as Moses, Abraham, Jesus, and Mohamed. And the reason is, as I stated before, due to the difficulties of such a mission.
                            If a Female choose to confront and deliver God's Words (exited books), then She will be rewarded by God; can you call her a Messanger of God because she is delivering God's Message? I do not know;
but as I said before, in a different thread, We can not disobey God's Messangers, and therefore, People will follow Messangers of God without questioning. And for this reason, I will not call them the messangers of God.

The messenger delivered their message fearlessly, honestly and sincerely but the modern Muslim men have no idea what is that trust. I often I say to many men who boast about the authority given to them that it is not the authority but huge responsibility they have. hmm

Which Muslim men are you talking about? Do you really see many who are men enough or Muslim enough to fall in this category?
Just five persons contributed to the thread about the plight of a Muslim woman unjustly held in US prison,
It does not matter if the woman is a sunni or not; she is a Muslim and it is the duty of Rajal/foot of authority (men) to do something for her but never mind about doing something, even on the thread below not much interest was generated by the ones who consider themselves "qawm" of women.

Whereas last week Edip was arrested and many swiftly reacted to that news even though he is just a political prisoner and has in no way suffered like Dr Aafia Siddiqui. This shows the sad state of the s.c. "qawwamoon". '(
