Poll for brothers only

to claim the men are not serious is disrespectful to the men.
I'm sorry guys if i was ''disrespectful''
men are required to obey allah, and if allah says something is persmissible for men, a mans right, men will protect
their rights, even if women try and deprive men of their rights.how can a woman display unhappiness with what allah has instituted?
You obviously agree with polygamy.
the ultimate love, is the love of allah, and allah's love for mankind. should we be unhappy that allah loves others as
well? no that would be wrong. Are you implying that if God can love more than one being then it's ok for man to love more than one woman?
allah has a justice in the system he created. a wife, first has an intimate relationship with her husband. then the wife
has an even more intimate relationship with her children. as a result, a wife has an intimate relationship with more than
one person, the husband and the children. the husband has an intimate relationship with the wife, and not an intimate
realtionship with the children. justice and fairness dictate, that if a wife can have more than one intimate relationship
then a husband must also have the same, more than one intimate relationship. anything else would be unjust. So you are implying that because a woman can have an 'intimate' relationship with her children this means it's ok for a man to have an intimate relationship with another woman? confused
The maternal/paternal love you have for your kids is different from the love you have for your husband/wife. Your reasoning makes no sense. peace

belH....from the look of that poll...i think you may have been right... ;D
Peace all
No one can be wrong if he or she stick to Quran.salam jasmin.

a husbands body.allah is justice.
Peace Brother
the above opinion is your personal view and not supported by Quran. Fathers can have a true love to their children that is equal or even more than mother love to them. Moreover, Mother's Love for her Kids is Different than her love to her husband. -
salam jasmin.
You obviously agree with polygamy
while i understand what you are trying to say, no i do not agree with polygamy, i agree with polygyny.
polygamy, from the greek poly gamos, poly = many, gamy = mating, has taken on forms in english at various times, that result in confusion. let me address the examples of polygamy.
one husband an many wives is polygamy. one wife and many husbands is polygamy. mating with more than one person in a lifetime, for example, getting a divorce and marrying another
is also polygamy. multiple mating with the same person is also polygamy.as you can see polygamy can mean lots of things. christians created the issue of polygamy, and the christian use of the term polygamy is, mating with one person for a lifetime. to this
day the catholic church condemns divorce and remarriage as a sin, and polygamy. western statutory law has another use, which is one spouse at a time. unfortunately to me as a muslim,
reading christian canon law, and western statutory law, all i see is they alter definitions to suit their fashion of the times, then impose this arbitrary and capricious usage on others, with
no regard to reason. to my mind, if a person has it right the first time, they dont go about changing it. the fact they change it, is evidence to me they never had it right. Are you implying that if God can love more than one being then it's ok for man to love more than one woman?
yes, i am not implying, i am saying that for a woman to attempt to impose an unsupported rule, based on unreliable emotion, and emotion is a bad adviser, she should examine why she does
not insist that allah be her lord exclusively, to the exclusion of all others. when a woman finds her emotional state is comfortable with allahs sharing his love with others, which is a good thing
why does she find herself switching around and calling the sharing of love a bad thing? So you are implying that because a woman can have an 'intimate' relationship with her children this means it's ok for a man to have an intimate relationship with another woman?
i am not implying this, i am saying it directly. i did not say this without a reasonable analysis, which analysis you can examine for consistency with the principles of equity.
The maternal/paternal love you have for your kids is different from the love you have for your husband/wife. Your reasoning makes no sense.
notice i did not say love for kids, please dont put words in my mouth, nor did i say the love for kids and love for husband and wife is the same.
the issue is not love. i used the word intimate relationship, i was trying to be polite, let me try again and be more blunt.
substitute the term "intimate realtionship" with "sharing a part of a womans body" i am not talking about love.
husband and children share the same part of a woman's body. yet a woman demands a husband not share a part of his body with a second person?
that is inequitable.allah is justice.

salam belalh.
Fathers can have a true love to their children that is equal or even more than mother love to them. Moreover, Mother's Love for her Kids is Different than her love to her husband.
why do you say to me, this is my opinion not supported by the quran, then turn around and state your opinion, not supported by the quran?
read my reply to jasmin above. i was not talking about love. you cannot come up with your own opinions out of thin air, then claim i am the one who has that opinion, then criticise the very opinion
you created.did i say to jasmin this is from the quran, no, why do you accuse me of claiming it is from the quran?
should i turn around and accuse you the same way, saying your love discussion is not supported by the quran?allah is the truth

You stated the followingBegin Quote

End Quote
And that is why I said what I said to you.
on the other hand, I believe man can Love more than one because God has gave him the permission to have relationship with more than one female. Now do you see that my opinion is not supported by Quran? -

Salam,
First of all let me state clearly and plainly There is a HUGE difference between the relationship a parent has with his/her children and the relationship one has with a spouse. To make the comparison, to me, is as different as night and day and completely illogical.
By Al Araf's absurd argument, one could say that as soon as the children are independent and no longer reliant on a woman's body for nurishment or growth (in other words not breast feeding), then a woman no longer has an intimate relationship with the children. Does this mean that she can then go and find another spouse to have the same number of so called intimate relationships as her husband?
Such illogical thinking leads to many transgressions.
Since Al Araf brought up the subject of equity, show me where it says that if one spouse has something the other automatically gets the same.
There is no rule saying that if one spouse has X, Y, and Z that the other spouse should also have X, Y, and Z.So to use the argument of the wife has X amount of so called intimate relationships as argument for a husband to have X amount of so called intimate relationships is ridiculous.

why does she find herself switching around and calling the sharing of love a bad thing?Do you realize that for a man to take another wife it is based on a man's emotion? I would say emotions such as jealousy (for the wife nourishing her child), feelings of neglect (for the attention that the wife has to give to the child), and feelings of lust and love (for another woman),
and revenge (revenge in the sense that the husband is lashing out at the woman for baring his child and then caring for said child since he feels neglected and jealous).Sounds like the man is more emotional than the woman who is fulfilling her natural duty.
Salam,
Arnab -
Al Araf,
None of your justifications make any sense to me, probably because none of them are in conjunction with the teachings of the Quran. I understand that you have given your own personal opinion, but there is a clear difference between giving your opinion based upon Quranic teachings and coming up with ideas from thin air. The Quran is logical, if you had based your opinion on it then what you would have said would have made more sense.
peacep.s.Read Arnab's post carefully, maybe this will make things clearer, Or even better, Read the Quran.

Salaamun all,
i thought it would be interesting to see how many guys had the courage to voice their opinion. Glad to know that atleast one is man enough to do so.

I would like to clarify why I'm arguing about this issue (Pylogamy).
I know from Quran that God have clarified that Man is allowed to Marry four women (taking into consideration all the conditions).
But Sadly, many Quran Aloners are arguing against it, and trying to ignore the Facts that Most of Prophets had done it.
Thus, I'm trying to show that Psychologically Man is capable of marring four women; nevertheless, I'm not promoting nor encouraging Polygamy to Men or Myself, after all, Polygamy is not ordered upon Men to do (obligatory), but a choice if they can fulfill its conditions.I voted yes, taking into consideration my understanding of Man Love to Woman
Male is to care for the Female (fulfill her psychological and bodily needs) and provide protection to here and her kids (prevent the psychological and bodily harms).
Please be aware that many Males will be Chickened out from replying in writing &.
"Their wives will slice them if they found out about their Inner Opinion rotfl

I voted "no". Because i don't think any man can love more than one woman. That would be false love or lust. True love in my opinion can only be for one woman, not two.

i replied no,
i don't think one man can really have romantic love for more than one woman
