Taking off the Hijab
-
No offense but there are plenty of your girls who have migrated to mine - they wear hijab and work as prostitutes. I'm not saying they all are. Some are good women mashallah. But hijab means nothing because people know that underneath could be a chaste girl or a prostitute.
Yes, it could be but know that those girls don't know anything about Islam or Hijab, they are Muslims but they don't know Islam. and sorry to say that even non-Muslims from girls wear Hijab for a specific reasons, and about there are plenty of your girls, is so rude from you and you have insulted every woman and girl in my country, how many girls you think there where you live from where I live? 100 girls, 1000 girls...how many? >> next time pick up your words.
P.S you live in UK isn't ? anyways I can bring statistics about girls in your country, and you'll be surprised .
-
You've got it all wrong.
Aha. !
I have a problem when some women belittle the 'hijab' like it's a sign of oppression which has been forced upon them and then they misquote the Quran, in order to justify their stance and then insinuate 'freedom' once they decide to take it off or not wear it in the first place, as though they were imprisoned whilst observing 'hijab' under false pretenses. This is the problem.
Wow, you are getting quite emotional. Why is that? Why does this subject upset you so much? &
Look, you are responding to accusations that nobody has brought on here. I am a newbie, but as far as I can tell, there seem to be women here who wear hijab and women who don't, with differing reasons for or against. I have not seen anyone belittling anyone for their choice, or the accusation of being oppressed. Neither has anyone described hijab as a "prison".
So why are you bringing this all up? Why are you getting so defensive and aggressive? On a subject that doesn't even concern you personally. Really, I find that weird ...
If one doesn't want to observe 'hijab' then don't, but don't come up with, it's not in the Quran, and we've been forced to do it for over 1400 years, because that is an insult to women.
It is an insult for women to not grant them the freedom to use their own brains and hearts in order to determine whether they see hijab as an obligation or not. The argument that every woman who simply does not see this obligation in the Qur'an, is just too lazy / vain / selfish / lead by shaitan is sooo old, and it gets repeated over and over again in an attempt to shut us up.
Fact is ... various people can read the same source and come to different conclusions, that's human nature. There are people, women as well as men, who -- regardless of their personal wishes or preferences -- can not see that the Qur'an supposedly tells women to cover their hair and neck and ears. But it is not accepted to say so.
Instead we are supposed to tell people that we are "not ready yet", that we can't because of our job, that we "don't have the strength" and so on and so forth. That is fine, and it's being accepted. People -- men and women -- will be nice to you and make duah for you that you will insha'allah one day have the strength to wear hijab.
http//foolstown.com/sm/girl.gif http//foolstown.com/sm/rev.gif http//foolstown.com/sm/girl.gif
But dare say that you simply don't see a command to cover the hair in the Qur'an, and you will be attacked from all sides. You are interpreting the Qur'an with your own desires taking over, you are lazy, not pious enough, not obedient enough etc. pp. You are being mocked and ridiculed -- how dare you disagreeing with centuries and centuries of Islamic scholarship?! How can you disagree with millions of pamphlets, books, websites, fatawa on the issue? You must be crazy, or utterly arrogant, or both.
http//foolstown.com/sm/pom.gif
(Interestingly, people who bring the latter argument display an ignorance of the view of Islamic scholarship, since the issue of awrah / hijab has been discussed quite diversely by early scholars.)My point is ... why can people not be allowed to think what they are thinking? Why should our opinion depend on the majority, the scholars, the institutions?
http//foolstown.com/sm/au.gif
It seems to me, it's not the ones who have a differing opinion who are having a serious problem here -- but the ones who are unable to fathom or accept that others have a different opinion than themselves. And that is the point here ... it's all about finding new approaches to religion, and to the Qur'an and about who has the authority to interpret it. Some just can't stand it that there might be other interpretations than those that have been considered true for centuries. It bugs them that people might make their alternative understanding public and might thus seduce others to start thinking along the same lines!
That is censorship imho. I'm tired of it. Believe what you want. If it makes you feel better to believe that each and every woman who does not think covering the hair is a command from God is lacking in faith, piety, modesty, whatever -- be my guest. I know what's in my heart, and all those attempts at intimidation and mocking don't impress me in the least.

Actually you decided to only select a small portion of what I wrote to make me look bad. Shame on you! Let me quote exactly what I wrote.

You don't even know where I'm from.My point is not about what you said because you have made a sin because of saying plenty of your girls, you see just two or three and yet you're making it global .
you live in uk and I can bring statistics about your girls which the majority are prostitutes. I am in a Muslim country and the most of girls fear their parents and they can't be with a guy, look at your dark side every crazy woman hugs a dumb one who will get marry another one and leave 5 girls have made sexual intercourse with them .

I didn't make it global. And I didn't see just one or two. Get your facts straight.
I am not English. I wasn't even born here. And even if I was, I don't care what they do. When I made that comment it was in reference to what you said about Moroccan girls. Not all your girls are perfect, just like any girls or guys in any country. Wearing a scarf doesn't make them angels.
ok show me your statistics that show that the majority of women in the uk are prostitutes. "Bring forth your proof if you are truthful."
And you can't say 'every crazy woman' because it isn't 'every crazy woman' unless you've actually met 'every crazy woman in the uk. If anyone is making things 'global' it's you.
Next time read the comments properly before making false accusations and being rude. That's all you seem to do here.
-
you have made a sin because of saying plenty of your girls, you see just two or three and yet you're making it global .
You are misquoting her yet again. She wrote
plenty of your girls who have migrated to mine - they wear hijab and work as prostitutes.
So this is not saying "plenty of the girls in your country are prostitutes."
Instead it says that "plenty of the girls of your country who have migrated to hers are working as prostitutes.
Big difference!
Hope that clears it up.
peace

Nice illustration of how traditional Muslim brainwash works in a person who has never been outside of his own country / cultural sphere to see and judge things for himself.

I didn't make it global. And I didn't see just one or two. Get your facts straight.
you did it make it global, you said plenty like all Moroccan girls have immigrated to uk (by the way uk is not a place to immigrate to it).
how many girls you see ? (plenty!!!)
most of girls from Morocco their destination is france.
I am not English. I wasn't even born here.
ok show me your statistics that show that the majority of women in the uk are prostitutes. "Bring forth your proof if you are truthful."
42% of women in uk have admited that they slept with more than one man in the same time >>>disgusting.

Yes, they are not Muslims, so I will not expect that they will be safe mentaly, they are free and they can do anything sleep with that guy but marry that one.

may be she meant that plenty of those who have migrated to uk are such and such....

sigh
No, she made it perfectly clear. Plenty OF the Moroccon girls who have immigrated to the UK ...
There seems to be a language barrier here. Please acknowledge it and don't accuse others of saying something they have not said at all.
42% of women in uk have admited that they slept with more than one man in the same time >>>disgusting.
With more than one man at the same time? Seems there is a LOT of group sex going on in the UK!
http//img52.imageshack.us/img52/7389/rofln.gif
Ah, here we have it ... the ultimate blow, the one and only argument that will shut up all Western-style feminists and supporters of free thinking and women's liberation All women in the West are basically prostitutes, and they will sleep with any man who crosses their path. They are all playthings for lecherous men and think this is freedom! Whereas in Muslim countries, nobody ever cheats on their spouse, there is no prostitution, no exploitation of women, it's basically a paradise compared to the BAD BAD West. And those who are defending women's rights just want to turn all women into man-hating prostitutes and undermine the deep morality of Muslims.
&
Hey, they even dare complaining about polygamy! But don't we all know that every man in the West has at least one mistress in addition to his wife, and this is perfectly accepted over there? Don't we know that the streets and orphanages in the West are full of bastards -- poor children who were abondoned by their mothers who have been abandoned by the fathers before? We all know men in the West just sleep around and don't have to commit to anything, right? Alhamdullilah we don't have this problem in Islamic countries. We have polygamy and male authority and -- of course -- the hijab. The magic hijab that gives women dignity, respect, guarantees her closeness to God and her protection from rape and harassment. The magic hijab that benefits everyone and transforms society for the better. How dare anyone question the properties of the hijab -- astaghfirullah!!!http//foolstown.com/sm/old.gif http//foolstown.com/sm/old.gifhttp//foolstown.com/sm/old.gif

Our friend clearly does not know what prostitution is.
Prostitution is the act or practice of engaging in sex acts for hire.

What I'm saying is that the observance of 'hijab' has not hindered their goals, success or targets and neither did they feel a need to take it off even after the tensions after 9/11 across the globe. So for them, they have self empowered themselves out of choice which they decided to act upon and not worry about what people might say. They practice the deen for themselves and not for anybody else and are proud to observe the 'hijab' and are not being conned or forced into observing 'hijab'
Peace
I think thats all people here are trying to do but you are somehow telling them their choices and their ways are wrong because it doesnt fit with your way of practicing the deen.

since when did 42% equal the 'majority'?? Since when did sleeping with more than one man make one a prostitute? a prostitute sleeps with men, ANY man and MANY men, for MONEY.

Dear Leyna
Not only are you missing the point, but some of the nonsense and assumptions that you are starting to babble is really an eye opener for me and a sign of either desperation or sheer stupidity (with all due respect). I stated before not to stereotype, but maybe you don't understand what this word means.
ster?e?o?type (str--tp, st?r-)
noun- A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image.
- One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type.
You make ludicrous allegations in your tirade using the words Emotional, Defensive, Aggressive, Intimidation and Mocking, once again working on assumptions. Damn, if everything can evolve around Egypt and 'only women experience harassment' in your eyes, what the hell was I expecting from you? A new definition and way of solving the negative exponent on the bottom of a fraction?
Where on earth have you been and what post have you been reading?
What you must try to understand because I know it can be difficult once you are in the 'stereotyping' mode, is that I am a man speaking direct to the point. Not one of your female friends, saying one thing but meaning another. There is no secret code here. Trust me.
Just in case you didn't get it last time, I will repeat again, I couldn't give a flying f@@@ about what women wear or what they don't want to wear.
You seem to have a problem with anyone who condones the 'hijab' but are all for anyone who condemns the 'hijab', because this is the NEW way of thinking and interpreting in your eyes. As though the last 1400 years or so has kept women in the dark ages and now you are a bastion of light and freedom for all Muslim women who want to make a change and take a stance. You cannot fix something which isn't broke and neither can you perfect something which is already perfected.
Read
53 ...................... This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
Unfortunately, your totally off cue assumption or shall I say lack of understanding of my posts, once again confirm to me that you believe that 'hijab' is oppression because it is not mentioned in the Quran, when quite clearly it is, but you cannot accept it, so in order to get your comfort zone, you sweepingly assume 'it doesn't say so and it is a manmade notion' disrespecting all women who do observe 'hijab' in the process.
On a final note, you can run down the street fully clothed, naked, semi naked, with 'hijab', without 'hijab' doing cartwheels and backflips screaming that all men are bas@@@rds and long live the Queen. Because it won't have the slightest effect on me, my lifestyle, my way of thinking, my household or anything else that involves me.
Peace

Muslim men married to 4 wives sleep with more than one woman at a time, by your logic deformer, they are also prostitutes rotfl
thats certified! big difference!
