quote<After the imperative command there is Cognate Adverb reflecting the manner how the act is to be done.>
You mean God is asking us in that verse to ask Him to send salawaat on Prophet? I shouldn?t have repeated my question because you don?t have answer to it.
quote<And the Munafiq of 20th century substituted the words of Allah with his own desire of diseased heart as>
Resorting to using that kind of language doesn?t take you any where except it shows your lack of knowledge.
You couldn?t answer my questions, instead you just attacked Rashad .Your answers are pathetic?
You couldn?t answer my questions because you know 3356 in no way God is asking us to send salawaat/slogan to Prophet as it doesn?t fit God to say slogan and asks us do the same too.
Prophet is dead, how can Sallemmo Tasllemma? apply to him except if he?s alive in your head and is omnipresent and can hear you, then in that case you?re committing idolatry.
quote<(4) Because the believers observe the SALAT prayers five times daily, they are in contact with their Creator, and their Creator is in contact with them. This is why we see that God and His angels do the same thing for the believers, as well as for the Prophet
Allah is still doing it despite knowing he is since dead.>You mean God day and night along the angels keep sending blessing and praising to prophet while He ignores the rest of the Messengers/Prophets? And asking us to do the same? Who?s Idol here, is it God or Mohammad?
I advise you read the verses regarding the usage of the word of Prophet in them and see it Insha-Allah that those verses only apply to Mohammad as a live person not the dead one.
BTW have you ever asked God maybe it?s you who is the Munafiq?
peace

The most apparent trait of a Munafiq is that he is a liar.
I did mean nothing. I quoted the premise of your quoted link, and then, what you are attributing to me has been said by Rashad Khalifa. The problem with the Munafiq is that he remains centered in his own self and thoughts and little bothers to listen what has been said.

I think this thread got derailed big time and i cant trace as to what the last part of the discussion was on topic. Anyway, i will just throw my two cents.
The Quran tells us that Allah has created us to worship and submit to him alone, day and night and at all times and given this, there is no bigger objective in life for mankind. In this context, verse 3.18 provides clear guidance for a true testimony of faith for a muslim. Quran also tells us that Allah's sunnah is the best sunnah and if Allah himself bears witness that he alone is worthy of worship and no one else, then i dont think there is any further room for confusion. Arguing about the fact that the exact statement "La Ila Ha Ill Allah" doesnt appear in the Quran is a useless effort. Can we use our mind to think and reflect upon this? As long as your intention is pure, then this commonly used statement "La Ila Ha Ill Allah" underscores the exact meaning as given in 3.18 and elsewhere in the Quran.
Personally, i translate the word "Ila" not as god but as "worthy of worship".
Secondly, the second part of the sunni shahada that says "Mohammad is the messenger of God" (while being a true statement of the past), is NOT a requirememnt of being a muslim. Personally, i see three things wrong with it.
-
Mohammad is NOT currently the messenger of Allah. He WAS the messenger and he died at a certain time in history. Somehow sunnis give the impression that he is still alive by saying 'he is the messenger'
-
The shahada or testimony of faith is a proclamation and commitment from deep inside the believer and Allah. Its a communication that is very personal and one to one in nature. A true believer in Allah will also believe in the prophets and messengers which include Mohammad and since Allah knows that Mohammad was his honorable and righteous messenger, there is no point in telling Allah this. Surah 631 reads
"When the hypocrites come to you they say We bear witness that you are the messenger of God. And God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness that the hypocrites are liars"
- If the testimony of islamic faith has to include the statement that "Mohammad is the messenger of Allah", then how did the prophets, messengers and muslims before the time of Mohammad became muslims? Were they reading this exact same shahada as the sunnis? The answer is NO.
