Let me just inform you that all these things are not alien to me... I have studied nahou, ilm sarf as well as i3raab.. I am an arabic teacher by profession... What you are failing to see is the real message of the verse... your focus is on the technicals.. I cannot change anything to that...

I think we should just agree to disagree here... even though I brought my proof.. lets just move on

    Peace

An Arabic teacher is supposed to concentrate on the techncalities and nicities of the language whereby he will never err in perceiving the exact perception and meanings infolded in any sentence of Qur'aan.

        Peace Mazhar,

Sorry to be the first to tell you this but unfortunately the original Arabic is a conjecture, lie. Moreover, your translation "Allah sent blessings, help, approval, to him " is incomplete. What happened to " "? Why did you cut it off and not translate it?

Can you please translate the complete statement so that you and everyone can see for sure if it is a lie as I am 100% sure or not?

        Peace and all best wishes,

        Ayman

After reading all the possible translation, I am still not convinced about all these meanings because none fits with the context of the sura.

I am sure the verse is linked to the verse that come just after

        3356
Indeed Allah and his angels "yussaloona 'ala" the prophete, O you who believe "saloo 'alayhi and salimu taslima".

        Yusuf Ali translation
        3357
Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

        3358
And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin.

Then come the famous verse regarding JILBAB, in this thread I was already developping the context to understand the terminology of jilbab.
        http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9598413.0

The context is about "offenses" against the prophete and his familly, I think the verse means smth like this
Indeed Allah and his angels are bound with the prophete, O you who believe bind with him and provide safety.

        Any comment?

I would even put in opposition "Ya ayuha alathee amanu " with "those who annoy " therefore Ya ayuha alathee amanu would mean "O Those who provide security".

The verse will look then like
Indeed Allah and his angels are bound with the prophete, O Those who provide security bind with him and provide safety.

          Peace

yes that was put in here pages back, it was ignored. This is obviously to do with when the prophet was alive and not something to recite along with his name being mentioned.

              Peace,

I have similar view as well... I also believe mumin/eemaan has more to do with trust/security than belief.

              Thank you for posting.

But this is addressed to those who did that act in the past. So you mean to say, "O Those who provided security".

In the past from now. These verses are relating to what was happening THEN, which at the time was the present.

Say it related to 622 AD. Even then at that point in time it meant the same thing

"O Those who provided security". And will refer to period before it was being stated.

                      No bro Mazhar,

                      My view is..

"O Those who have entrusted*". And will refer to period before it was being stated.

The full trust in God and his messenger has already been achieved without doubt... this is different from being a muslim.

                      *Entrust
1.confer/place a trust upon; "The messenger was entrusted with the general's secret"; "I commit my soul to God"
2.put into the care or protection of someone; "He left the decision to his deputy"; "leave your child the nurse's care"

For Ayisha it was Okay since she does not claim to have full grasp of Arabic but for an Arabic teacher I can only lament and feel sorry about those whom he teaches.

                          Any comment?

For Ayisha it was Okay since she does not claim to have full grasp of Arabic but for an Arabic teacher I can only lament and feel sorry about those whom he teaches.

Nope, can you elaborate more or at least tell me what page of the 24 pages it was discussed on

And what all the references you gave are actually supposed to be showing me.

Meanings of this word were being discussed in just before posts

                                "O Those who provided security".

"O Those who have entrusted*". And will refer to period before it was being stated.

and what does it have to do with you still not translating sallalahu alaihi wasallam or proving we should be saying it OR what does it have to do with you refering to Muhammed as Our Guiding Lord?

I highlighted that Arabic verb is intransitive, and indicated it as Form-IV which is causitive reflexive. The words you have put as translation, can they be its meaning?
