    Peace muslim

Now I understand the way you create this thread. You didn't talk about grammar, but you differ Allah's Islam from another gods/God especially Christian and Judaism's Allah.
And you reference based on laa ila ha ilallah.

Yes I agree with you.Months ago I watch an Islam-Christian debate video on youtube

http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoJ_7yWLF6U (because you understand Indonesian I provide this to you)

The topic in that video is "Samakah Tuhan Islam dan Kristen"
On that video Rev. Gershom Ben Morshe (former muslim) give some simple explanation about that (minute 02554-039-36)

    Peace

It is true. This thread is not about grammar, languages and spellings, but the issue is related to the "equivalent concept of gods worshipped by human beings." Sura 112 said Allah is One and not equivalent to God(s). Further, the highest form of God is "Self". The "Self" is giving birth and establishing hundreds and thousands of religions. It is the main God for all God(s).

The being has a name. That is the reason people assign hypothetical names for their various presumptive gods.

        Salam

Therefore, it is a concept or an idea that can be made "equivalent" to another "being". Sura 112 said Allah is One and not equivalent to another "being".

Polytheists do not equate Allah the Exalted with other gods. Their ultimate argument for justifying thier gods is this

"We do not worship them except for the purpose that they might cause us to be nearer in access to Allah the Exalted".

Religious people (the polytheists, sectarianism, bigot) equate and compare one god to the other and chose their one true God among other God(s). They equate the concept Godhood; and this leads to duality. Sura 112 declares Allah is One (that cannot be broken down into parts or fragments, non-centricity and no boundary, there is nothing in existence other than Him and nothing is within the micro or macro realms of existence) and "Nor is there to Him any equivalent". Sura 112 declares Allah is not equivalent to God. This primary message negated and nullified the concept of Godhood altogether; There is no God but Allah ... ?There is no God, there is only Allah" and there is a System (Deen) present within life, by which those who fail to comply, are led to suffer the consequences of their own actions.

?Nothing in existence within the micro or the macro planes is equivalent to HU!? (4211)

p/s A Muslim do not "worship" Allah, but they "serve" to Allah. Worshipping God is for religious people and sectarianism.

Exception "Illa" relates back to Ielah. Allah the Exalted has not negated the relaity of He being the Ielah-the God in English-the Supernatural-Non-Matter Personality. All other ielah-gods are but matter or from matter or abstract thought.

                    Salam

I'm referring to some comments on the "La" and "illa".

                    First

Btw the word Allah and l-ilah is still different words, because merging Al and ilah into "Allah" has no rule in Arabic.

                    Second

                    The Arabic statement

La rajulun illa Ali can be translated literally as
?There is no real man except/but Ali?
or ?There is no man like Ali?
or ?Among the men none are Ali?s alike?

                    • note that all of these statements denote there are in fact other men (duality, Ali and other men), but they are not like Ali (who is also a man and can be compared or made equivalent to other men).

However, when the word illa is used in conjunction with the word ALLAH
it does not mean ?a god like Allah?
that is, it should not be understood as
?there other gods, but none are like Allah? (duality, Allah and other God(s))
as the very meaning denoted by the word ALLAH
invalidates this supposition from the onset

Just as the auxiliary verb was (khaane)
when used in conjunction with Allah
loses its general meaning and is taken as the present simple tense
when the word except (illa) appears next to the word Allah
it also loses its general connotation and is taken to mean only.

                    Here is an example

                    KhaanALLAhu gafurur rahiyma

cannot be translated as ?Allah was Ghafur and Rahim?
as the qualities denoted by the Names of Allah cannot be subject to time
they are ever present and ever effective

Similarly, illa Allah cannot mean except (duality) Allah
which denotes the existence of others (duality)
but must be understood as only Allah!
The qualities of the One to which the word Allah refers
does not accept the existence of another
                    especially that beside itself

Hence, khaane, illa and all other expressions that denote time and (other) existence
must be construed appropriate to the meaning of Allah
when used in conjunction with it
Otherwise, it will inevitably result in the conception of a god beyond!

Now examining the Word of Unity

There is no God, there is only Allah in light of this consideration

the first message that we are given is There is no god
Only after this definite denunciation we are told ILLA ALLAH

                    As explained above
because the word illa is used besides the word Allah
(usage of "La" and usage of "illa" is not on men or objects)
the only correct construal of this statement can be ONLY ALLAH
                    as opposed to
                    except Allah
                    or
                    but Allah
for there is no other being in existence
to which Allah can be compared to
                    or excluded from!

                    Therefore, the correct translation is

?There is no God, there is only Allah"

                    or

?There is no God, only Allah" (One! that cannot be broken down into parts or fragments)

                    Peace

                        La rajulun illa Ali

This sentence has no relevance to the sentence La Illah Ila Allah

Rajulun is the subject of the nominal sentence and being indefinite in nominative case and absolute state its specification is necessary and needs to be estimated as elision. He and Ali both remain as Man and negation for that indefinite man is in relation to some attribute of Ali.

In the sentence La Illah Ila Allah; La is not simple negation but negation of genus since the subject noun is in accusative. Here Illah denotes a group-a family of deities who are treated as gods.

Realize it Allah the Exalted is all alone the living Iela'aha Sovereign Sustainer Lord; He Who is uncritically admired and adorned. None else of the hypothetical set iela'aha gods-deities were and are a living entity.

Allah the Exalted alone is the ever Living; the Absolute; never ever to die, and the Sustainer; the Organizer of all that exists; the Sovereign Administrator. .

Allah the Exalted confirms that people have adopted miscellaneous gods. So they are a ground reality. The Predicate of La is elided. And that Predicate can be estimated any fact about Allah the Exalted which is not the trait of all others whom people call or consider as miscellaneous iela'aha. The foremost trait of Allah is "the Living". All others whom people call god including Easa alahissalam are non-living; the dead and matter.
"None is living who are considered as iela'aha gods except Allah the Exalted".

                          Salam,

Your interpretation "excluding" Allah from other gods and for that reason, there is a "Concept of Godhood and Duality" in your belief system, whereas ....

all of these statements denote there are in fact other men (duality, Ali and other men), but they are not like Ali (who is also a man and can be compared or made equivalent to other men).

Do you acknowledge there are in fact other God(s) that can be compared or made equivalent to Allah? (Godhood)

that is, it should not be understood as
?there other gods, but none are like Allah? (duality, Allah and other God(s))
as the very meaning denoted by the word ALLAH
invalidates this supposition from the onset

Sura 112 declares Allah is One and not equivalent to God, and the usage of "God" is subjected to the interpretation provision in the Qur'an; ie. Sura 112 (REFER HERE).

for there is no other being in existence
to which Allah can be compared to
                          or excluded from!

                          Peace.

Exception "Illa" relates back to Ielah. Allah the Exalted has not negated the relaity of He being the Ielah-the God in English-the Supernatural-Non-Matter Personality. All other ielah-gods are but matter or from matter or abstract thought.

                                god noun

                                1. supernatural being one of a group of supernatural male beings in some religions, each of which is worshiped as the personification or controller of some aspect of the universe

Everything that exists in physical realm is matter; life in physical realm is also from matter. Allah the Exalted is the Person Who is outside the physical realm-His creation.

In Physical Realm everything is mirrored. It has imagery. Allah the Exalted is mirrorless. His powers and adjectival traits are mirrored in His Creation and these existentials are called His Sign-Reflectors-Evidence of His Omnipresence.

                                  Salaam,

Allah is One according to Quran as it was written in Arabic. If it was written in, for example, English, it would be written God is One.

God = God's name in English
Allah = God's name in Arabic

Allah is not God's ultimate name. Allah is just composed of the Arabic definite article with the word for god making it into the English God.

Why would God choose a name that is literally "the god" in English for and not a random name, for example Toyota? "There is no god but Toyota". But God used the (literally) plain "the god". Why? Because it is not more complicated than to explain it as if it was an accurately compiled English book of God it would be "God", ie "there is no other god than God".

Allah is a very telling and simple word that anyone would understand, hence why God chose it. If he one the other hand compiled an English holy book it would be "God" because it is as simple definition for His being.

Like I said before; God has no name but to refer to Himself by something so that we weaklings can have some reference point.

I repeat myself several times but "In English one capitalizes letters to make words emphasized while in Arabic it is not possible that why but there is the 'al' definite article. 'G' in God substitutes the 'al' and in English one does not normally use 'the' to refer to a name of someone although it is having it first letter capitalized."

Allah is a very simply composed word which can easily compare to God in terms of simplicity. Allah is just the word for god in Arabic with a definite article on. In English it is just the word for god with a capital letter on it. Still cannot agree with this reasoning?

                                  God bless you

                                        That is, Allah is Oneness
There is nothing in existence other than Him
                                        Allah has no boundary
and cannot be broken down into parts or fragments
Nothing is within the micro or macro realms of existence
and there is no inside or outside Allah

Therefore, where can this external god that is other than the Ahad Allah be?

                                        Inside or outside of Allah?

                                        Allah the Exalted is the Only Self Reliant; Transcendent, Absolutely Independent; One upon Whom all without exception are dependant;

                                        nothing penetrates into it
                                        nothing extends out from it
                                        Allah has no boundary
and if something has no boundaries it cannot have a center
It is impossible for Allah to have a center
It also follows that something without a center cannot have a core or shell, an interior or an exterior

He in Person never became the cause, and nor was He the effect.

He begets not. No other form of existence has ever originated from Him, thus, there is no other.
Nor was he begotten. There is no other god or form of existence from which He could have originated.

Allah has not created another being from Himself
and no other being has originated into existence from the existence of Allah
Allah is Ahad, ie. the indivisible ONE,
Therefore it is not possible for another form of existence to have originated from Allah
even if it is with Allah?s qualities

                                        Allah is not begotten
and this clearly means that Allah did not originate from another being

How can Allah have originated by another being or created another being from Himself if Allah is Ahad?

And for Him there is always none ever to compare-exemplify; He is Unique-The Absolute".

Nor is there to Him any equivalent

                                        There is none like Him
Nothing in the micro or macro planes of existence is equivalent or in resemblance of Him
There are no concepts or ideas that can resemble or explain Allah; ie. the concept of Godhood (duality)
                                        Allah is AHAD

Therefore.. the Qur'an is about us (refer here)
it is about our duties and the system (deen).. and

From a God who thinks like a man
                                        (God is Allah)
to a man who thinks like Allah!

A puzzle which is not meant to be solved.
(Nor is there to Him any equivalent)

                                          Salaam,

So I understand the intention for creating this thread.

In my humble opinion, it is better to rephrase the title "Qur'anic Allah is traditional Allah?"

                                          Salaam,

That can be very helpful, Oneness!

                                          Peace
