This is more reasonable about 33:40
-
You missed the point..
ArmanAziz wasn't suggesting that it mattered whether Muhammad had a son or not. Here's what he said
If you read the verses following 3340 you will see that he is clearly right.
3340-43. Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah is ever Aware of all things.
O ye who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.
And glorify Him morning and evening.
He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you out from the depths of Darkness into Light and He is Full of Mercy to the Believers. We are being told that Muhammad is not to be looked on as a father figure and that it is God who we should remember and glorify as He is the one who blesses us and guides us.
Read the entire chapter (3
It begin with a hail to the 'prophet', ya ayyuhanabbiy.. Oh Prophet..
Indicating the 'speaker' on the chapter is talking to the Prophet.
And throughout the chapter, it consistently maintained the same mode of communication.... Oh Prophet, Oh Prophet..Except around that section, suddenly the speaker mentioned a name "Muhammad", and then switch back with Oh Prophet afterwards.
And the 'points' being made on that specific verse cannot be found in other part of the book, and it's not important either..
The verse seems out of place..This is as odd as suddenly finding a narration of
"Verily Krishna's true color is black"
Within the Gita...Or finding the sudden narration of Jesus allegedly saying "Baptist them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost".
Where nowhere in the same book there's a similar mention and the same book never ever mentioned that Jesus himself ever baptized anyone.. And certainly it's not an important point as well..Salam / Peace

I am sick of this play with words where someone twists what other say to suit his own delusions about having the perfect truth and the compulsion to correct others as if they were idiots and him the only one ablo to bring light to poor lost manipulable people.
Nobody have the perfect truth, those who does are certainly within the state of delusion..
Some nuts keep "worshiping" a man, a prophet, bringing his image and name out of reality and out of common sense, therefore there come the cleverest one to make out of that prophet some common idiot who just happened to find a letter dropped some where, took a postman uniform and delivered it to us without knowing what was in it no being interested in what was in it.
It's more of somebody wrote a letter and the postman add or delete his own writings to the letter..
And we must by all means find flaws or sins or whatever in the prophets so we can bring them to our level and get rid of the trouble of acknowledging that there are those who have served humanity to the point of loosing themselves, their own time, their own life their own all for the sake of giving the message even when spat upon and risking everything. To the point of having to keep silent like Maryam, to any point for the sake of the message and for the sake of humanity and for the sake of our creator and lover.
Prophets are human, they have flaws and weaknesses, it's ok and it's normal.
That's what makes them human in the first place. And many humble and non-narcissistic people in the past that have served humanity risking everything in sincerity without asking for anything in return. (arabic ikhlas)
Among those people are prophets..?Crucify him! Go ahead. we do not need them. We have the message, the messenger can please be let out the back door he is no more important than the pizza deliverer, may be we can also give him a few cents tip.
The sincere pizza deliverer will never accept any tips or ask the customer to testify that he/she's the best pizza deliverer.
Pride is certainly daring. Too much pride.
Certainly, pride is among the key characteristic of evil.
Fanatical attitude of "my favorite prophet is the best prophet", "my favorite book is the best book", "my favorite religion is the best religion", "my favorite football team is the best football team" etc... stem from pride, the need to show that 'we are above others' or in nazi's lingo "uber alles".

Believes the thief that all are like him. And you seem to be deluded by thinking that all people are so debased as your own thoughts.
Enjoy them even if you are repeating yourself ad nauseam, like a preacher on the pulpit of the old times.
Thank God, no prophet is in need of getting applause from anybody. It is not them that will be harmed by mean words.

3340 Mohammed is not the ABB of any of your men,
but he is the messenger of God
and the seal of the ANBIYAS
. And God is fully aware of all things.First of All, Abb is not Walid. Abb is the nourishing guy while walid is the genitor.
The first part of the verse is opposed to the second. That is, the non Abb status is opposed to messenger status.
So we have to understand that teachings of Muhammad (hadiths and son on), as spiritual food, exclude the nourished from the set of "muslim people".The last part speaks about Muhammad as seals of Anbiyas.
Nabi is from root naba that is information.
The third part says that Muhammad brought the "sealed book" for anyone who want to be informed by god. That is to anyone who want to take Allah as spiritual Abb (father)in this way, 3-40 is totally coherent verse. It opposes mushrikouns who want to take Muhammad as spirituel father besides of Allah, remind that Muhammad is only the messenger
of the true spiritual father and that "ANBIYAS", or spiritual sons of Allah, are who consider Muhammad as the "postman" who brought the selad version of words of God.There is absolutely no biological consideration in 33-40. It is all at spiritual level. brickwall
And God is fully aware of all thingsPEACE

I am sure Muhammad had quite some work with himself and was not just an honorable messenger the next day. You can become disqualified as a messenger and it shows that devotion from the person is required and you are not just simply a messenger without showing your caliber. There are hints of the Arabic discourse that Muhammad was helped into a better character from something he was previously not. And he nearly leaned towards the wrongdoers and it was God who supported him so that he came away from it. God is your guide and God you serve and God you seek for help.

And I like the term "showing your caliber"!
Yes, yes, showing our caliber to God when we serve Him.

The sincere pizza deliverer will never accept any tips or ask the customer to testify that he/she's the best pizza deliverer.
But a sincere pizza deliverer will proclaim himself as a pizza deliverer (not necessary the only or the best - just one of many others) and ring the bell of the customer's house - otherwise if he waits for customers to come to him and collect the pizza - his mission of pizza delivery will fail.
Fanatical attitude of "my favorite prophet is the best prophet", "my favorite book is the best book", "my favorite religion is the best religion", "my favorite football team is the best football team" etc... stem from pride, the need to show that 'we are above others' or in nazi's lingo "uber alles".
How about "We do not differentiate among messengers", does that sound fanatical?
Best regards,

So it says "O Prophet" a few times that doesn't mean it is strange that Muhammad is mentioned by name.
Perhaps Muhammad is mentioned by name here because God wanted to be specific in His admonition to not look to Muhammad as a father figure.
The points can be found in other parts of the Koran, every time we are reminded that the Prophet is just a man or that the messengers duty is only to spread the message and every time God warns us not to put any beside Him.
18110 - Say I am only a mortal like you. My Lord inspireth in me that your Allah is only One Allah. And whoever hopeth for the meeting with his Lord, let him do righteous work, and make none sharer of the worship due unto his Lord.
Isn't this verse saying the same thing?

Most here consider that the Qur'an is the only text they know which is exactly what it purports to be full revelation, with no estraneous matter, undadulterated. Still we grudge acknowledgement to the person who managed to transmit it so. We must downgrade the messenger of God who transmitted the Qur'an to the lowest of the lowest, capable of any low thing, like all people are, according to that mindset. What kind of attitude is that? I find it disgusting.
Messengers of God are not pizza deliverers, they know what they transmit, they are not parrots, they know what they transmit and they are faithful to what they transmit and are faithful, devoted to their Creator, they participate kowingly in their transmission, live by it. This passion to reduce any saintly person to "common" ordinary mortal capable of any evil is stupid and illogical.
A person who knows God intimately as much as a human being can know God, and lives by it, is not the same as any "common" who shares his or her interest in God with many other interests and not always God comes first.
A prophet does not receive revelation because God has no choice but to offer that post to the first "common" person, a messenger receives revelation because he or she is open, his or her heart is pure to receive untainted what must be transmitted untainted through him or her. A prophet must be pure, very pure, that is why God purifies prophets. They are not "common" people, but exceptionnaly pure and purified people, exceptionnally devoted to God. They put their soul in the message they transmit, they are not ignorant of what is inside the message. They know it and they live by it.
If we are not ready to acknowledge the messengers of God, it is that we do not give a damn for the message of God. And if we think that any prophet is no better than us then it must be that we have nothing to look up to as persons who need to aspire to purer worship. Ridiculous pride. Shaytan did that. We do not have to postrate to prophets or to anybody but God but we do need to acknowledge facts, and fact is a prophet is still ahead of us "common" people in devotion and sincerity.
Prophets or criminals it is all the same for some people it seems. Prophets of course do not need our approval nor our respect nor anything from us. All they need is God, God's approval and God's mercy. But we do need to feel respect to the messengers of God and to all people, and we need to acknowledge reality and merit, otherwise we will be at the level of Shaytan, pitiful, prideful idiots full of ourselves. Really pitiful.
Prophers serve the people. They give up their lives for the sake of the people. They transmit the message for the people not to earn a wage, not to earn anybody's approval or applause. They are not paid postmen. They can do without any of that. God only is their master and God says they are a mercy for the worlds and they are purified. But we seem to know better, and make them just like us, "common people". Wouldn't it be better if we just tried to become purer like them? But for that we should be humble and start acknowledging that there are spiritual levels. Nobody is wrong at whatever level he or she is, but we are all on the road of improvement in our return to God. If we are unable to appreciate purity in others, how on earth are going to appreciate anything at all to make us want something better for ourselves?
Pride is not the best counsellor, it was not for Shaytan, it is not for us. We are ridiculous when we attempt to bring down to our "common" level everything that breaths.

Peace huruf,
I do ABSOLUTELY NOT disrespect Muhammad (or whatever his name was) and it could as well being me said never to have lived or that I would be unimportant.
The prophet was not unimportant and had an honorable mission way better than succeeding in a business venture. The problem I have is that people exalt him or say that God exalted him and give him extraordinary own might where it is God who assisted him into those ranks. They say that he was different to structure and design than ANY ordinary man, but he was just intelligent and and went looking for God and served God well and got selected to be a prophet (likely predestined but he passed the test not to be disqualified).
My anger comes when people say that Muhammad is a mediator between them and God despite Quran being very clear on that matter. And that Muhammad is or was in a better position than them and therefore they have to idolize him. Reached a high rank or not it was just a human being made of flesh and bone.
Quran, or the recitation, was not the only ever revelation of the decree either but many were the messengers and prophets of the past. Who say they did not already know the decree and judgment before the first time they read Quran (except those who grew up with it)?
God bless you

And had it been Our will We could have shown them Muna'fi'qeen to you whereby you would have certainly recognized them by their visible marks;
And certainly henceforth you will definitely recognize them in the tone of their speech, statement, utterance.
And Allah the Exalted fully knows the acts of you people. -
Peace,
Verily you are clearly able to paste a verse out of context and delusively throw it in someone's face. What is your point?
I said there is no disrespect to the person who received the recitation to mankind, but this same person would likely want me to praise God alone for the work he did. At least so would I if I served God in any matter.

Satan has many brothers amongst ordinary human beings. Men can utter sentences like I quoted earlier, but listen Satan what regards he had about those Personally Chosen persons of Allah the Exalted
"Exception to my promised Endeavour against humanity is only with regard to those who are exclusively chosen as absolutely sincere allegiants of You the Exalted."
Since Satan has regards for the elevated Messengers of Allah the Exalted he will be given a better class in the Hell-Prison than the Muna'fi'qeen who will be in the worst class of Hell Prison. Slightest disregard and disrespect nurtured in the hearts against the exalted Messenger Muhammad s.a.s. will suffice to take one straight to lowest hell prison. Such person is a Munifiq and his abode is there.

Salaam,
4034 And Joseph had come to you before with proofs, but you remained in doubt regarding what he came to you with, until when he died, you said God will not send any messenger after him. It is such that God sends astray he who is a transgressor, doubter.
3613 And put forth for them the example of the people of the town, when the messengers came to it.
3614 Where We sent two to them, but they disbelieved in them, so We supported them with a third one, thus they said We are messengers to you.
3615 They said You are but human beings like us, and the Almighty did not send down anything, you are only telling lies.
3616 They said Our Lord knows that we have been sent to you.
3617 And we are only required to give a clear delivery.1047 And for every nation is a messenger; so when their messenger comes, the matter is decreed between them with justice, and they are not wronged.
1636 And We have sent a messenger to every nation "You shall serve God and avoid evil." Some of them were guided by God, and some of them deserved to be misguided. So travel the earth, and see how the punishment was of those who denied.

I understand what you mean and I did not mean you, I know already enough of your attitude to know that you do not disrespect the prophets and more specifically he who has been called the seal of them.
But I find it sad that we are bounced from one idiocy to the opposite idiocy. Prophets, alhamdillah are human like us, we all in sha allah will become prophets in this life or in another life, when we are pure and let God shine through us, but the need to reduce everything to the lowest expression is sickenning, to make out ourselves into judges of people who God calls a mercy to human kind, is sick, prideful, debasing.
They are not mediators, they are servants of God and humanity, some love and respect for deserving people, even if they are prophets, cannot be out of place.
But again, we seem to be balls that the manipulators enjoy bouncing from one wall to the opposite wall.
And Sabeel is also right when he says that there seems to be some people who would say wonders about Musa and 3isa, but when it comes to Muhammad they seem to have some constipation and cannot bring a word of acknowledgment for him, as if polical correctness said which prophets are kosher and can be praised and which ones should be given a cold shoulder. As I said in a previous message, as far as I know, there is no championship of prophethood going on. They are all one, as we all should be one, but they are one and shame to us if we make them many. Why do you have to project on them our meanness?
If we want to get better we should look up to those who are better than us. Anybody that is better than oneself, not to worship but to emulate and strive as the Qur'an commands us. And who better than those that were guided by God in all purity.
Gor God's sake, a big chunk of the Qur'an is made up of the stories of prophets, of the events in the life of the transmitter of the Qur'an... Was it just to fill space and so that we in our time could take up bandwidth?
The nuts who deify the Prophet of the Qur'an may find a good encouragement to continue doing so in the need for the other extreme to demean that Prophet. This is not a match, it is our lives and our sincerity.

Thank you for more serious answer.
So, looks like you believe that Allah still sends the messenger for our time.
Or, perhaps you believe that Allah will send a messenger for every nation, including at this time?

I suppose brother Man of Faith often speaks bluntly.
However, I think he has good intention in his heart.
Looks like he does not want if his brothers here stuck in idolatry or stuck in the behaviour that may lead to idolatry.
