    Look whos talking,

From Quranic perspective Zabur means A SECTION OF THE BOOK and the Tawrat was a section of the Book of Musa. Zabur is not an Arabic word, it is a Farsi word. You have no basic knowledge of the Quran. I bet you dont even know that the Quran is the 2nd Edition of the Book of Musa?

You are confirmed blind follower, where does khidr mentioned???
You don't admit yourself to be wrong. Also no one says Khidr is mentioned, his figure is mentioned - without name... we titled him afterwards.

Also, yes, Zabur are a section of the Bible... it's called for the Psalms... and David ascribed it.

It is true that David wrote divinely inspired poems involving GOD. Even Jesus in the Biblical Gospels makes a reference to a poem of David about Heaven being GOD's throne and the Earth GOD's footstool. In traditional interpretations of Quran I also think this is mentioned. It originates from David.

The riddle or parable with his saying is that GOD encompasses everything and even if Heaven may appear GOD's domain (whereabouts), so is also Earth even if you cannot see this through pure physical observation. It is not exactly intended for Pagan inclined people to draw themselves a physical throne for GOD in Heaven somewhere but his words were just intended as a parable, just like in another which he says GOD is his buckler (protector).

Torateh is the message of Moses and the only authentic scriptural information is the text which was originally inscribed in stone. Written documents were scarce since this was a very long time ago and inscription in stone was the medium when you wanted to record something. And even fewer could even read or write...

The majority of chapters of the Biblical Old Testament which Jews call Tanakh are only mere hadith based on historical reports and stories of the past. And there are non-biblical sources which differ on individual stories. For example, Moses does not kill a man in Egypt but he is simply growing popular and people deem him as a threat in the administration of Pharaoh and he gains no support from the 'Children of Israel' about his claimed prophetic mission, so he is forced on the run for fear of his life. That is also the version I find is true. This is also shown indications from misconceptions of individual words in Quran such as Q - T - L which does not mean kill/fight but it means more like argue/(try to) persuade.

The co-traveler with Moses does not run away to kill the son of the righteous parents but he gives him a round verbally despite that he has not done anything wrong, yet. If the story said that he killed the son then that is very immoral and a really bad role model and example despite that the narrative being intended as inspiration.

I do not know how the connotation for Q - T - L ever got distorted to kill in history, but it is probably an exaggeration because the word can imply that you are arguing with someone to make them understand a point.

This means right from here that Biblical sources are not absolute and need to considered carefully, but also that one has to be wary of Quran and not trusting interpretations blindly even if the original text is authentic to the letter. Interpretations can deceive just as much as written deliberate fabrications and even worse because if you can see or know a text is authentic you may trust it more blindly without considering what you actually read and whose interpretation it is and if the original text really intended to say this. Many people, particularly in the "West", are taught in school about a critical approach, but they seem completely oblivious of that when it comes to religion and faith.

And Hezbullah, judge by it is because the Torateh is basically only the "Ten Commandments" and brief supplementary information and no more as a help how you judge every situation in life based on GOD's wisdom. "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" is an example of "supplementary information". Everyone knows about it.

      Salaam

What I wrote are from the Quran, please read on the verses where it says about those who were given a section of the Book - 0323; 0444, 51, 60, 61 - .

        And 0542 - 44 .

Psalms are nothing more than poems created by men in their love for GOD. Some in their love for the prophets, messengers and their saints. These latter forms are consider IDOL WORSHIPPINGS. As such, it is not part of the Book of ALLAH.

Who the hell is the "We". Must be you and the devil.

And if I am wrong I will admit. As for you, your arrogance has made you think that you are superior than others and to an extent of blasphemous ideology against the prophets of ALLAH and even so shown no remorse.

          Peace MOF,

There is no such things as "Torateh". Tawrat and Injeel, from the Quranic perspective are proper noun. Unlike kitab and zabur which are improper noun where they can be in plural form

Example of zabur in plural noun - 03184,

Example of Kitab in plural noun - 02285

AQ; 0303 - We sent down upon you, the Book in truth, confirming what is in between, support it, that is, HE revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

AQ; 0304 - From before, as guidance for the people, that is, He revealed the Furqan. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.

The above verse is to be read inconjunction with 03183

Then if they deny you, so were messengers denied before you, who brought miracles and sections of the Book and the Enlightening Book .

          Peace

            Hezbollah,

TowraTEH is the proper pronunciation of the word you refer to. It means similar to instruction. It is basically the guidance that the 'Children of Israel' received.

Edit By the way, both Towrateh and Injeel are written with the AL prefix in Quran, i.e. AL-Towrateh and AL-Injeel. Obviously they ought to refer to a singular object dynamically, even if singular and plural are figuratively speaking.

Injeel gave elaboration (enlightenment) on the old Towrateh plus how the phenomenon GOD works. You probably know what kind of information Jesus/Isa/Jesu came with unless you deny it in the illusion of traditional Islam.

And yes, obviously ketaab is not a name because it means knowledge. Quran is not a name either.

GOD refrains from giving proper names to dead (illusive) matter. Also the AL prefix does not exactly work like traditional scholars imply as to categorization of words.

If zabur refers to the poems of David or not is irrelevant, but if it refers to a piece of the knowledge then that is his written poems.

            Salaam

From the Quranic perspective The Tawrat is not only for the Israelite but also for the Jews but the Injeel is specially for the Israelite.

Injeel was sent specially for the Israelite as it was the first addendum / edition to the Book of Musa. As stated in the Quran 0350

And confirming what is in between support it of the Taurat and TO MAKE LAWFUL FOR YOU SOME OF WHAT WAS FORBIDDEN TO YOU. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear ALLAH and obey me.

In the Tawrat, as mentioned in the Quran 06146,

And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.

the judgement above was applicable to both Jews and Israelite. When the Injeel was sent down to Prophet Esa, the above law was relaxed for the Israelite.

And yes, obviously ketaab is not a name because it means knowledge. Quran is not a name either.

That is what you said not the Arabic vocabulary. It obviously means you are wrong.

GOD refrains from giving proper names to dead (illusive) matter. Also the AL prefix does not exactly work like traditional scholars imply as to categorization of words.

You presume everything and back up your presumptions with nothing.

If zabur refers to the poems of David or not is irrelevant, but if it refers to a piece of the knowledge then that is his written poems.

No it does not and again another presumptions.

                  Hezbollah,

Injeel is more than speaking of decree. If you think its meaning was only to make things lawful then you entirely missed the point. Jesus was a prophet for all people who heed him. He was the Messiah, even if a lot of people denied him.

Jesus made important elaboration on the decree and taught people on how the GOD phenomenon works. But you perhaps deny that revelation by him in the shadow of the corruption in Quran's interpretation.

The word ketaab has falsely been used to refer to book in Quran despite that it has a more content-wise meaning of a book. Most Arabic words in Quran have an abstract meaning due to their descriptive nature. One valid way according to traditional sources to define it is decree although I would say if you have decreed material you posses knowledge hence my translation as knowledge. It is not an unfounded stance. And ketaab does not equal to book but more like contents of a book. And if you kutub someone then you "make knowledgeable or create knowledge" (traditionally decree). It makes sense.

It may be that earlier Arabians associated ketaab to refer to a more concrete item such as a book, but that is not the word's literal meaning. It just shows their materialistic view.

You find inconsistency by saying such as 'People of the Book' for ahl al-ketaab. It does not make sense to me, does it to you? Rather it means people who possess knowledge (have been decreed).

I do not presume much at all but I am working hard to make my claims solid as you see in the above elaboration and I often have support by Lane's Lexicon, for example. You ought to realize that Quran as interpreted by the grand majority is very deceptive and is not as according to its author.

And regarding the poems I once again say that David wrote poems in the light of GOD, disregarding whether zabur refers to this or not. That is what I meant with irrelevant.

                  Salaam

                    Salam Sister

Praise be to ALLAH and thank you so much for your interest.

I have already explained what is Psalms.

As for the Bible according to the Quranic rendering the Book of Musa aka The Furqan. What does it means by Furqan? Starting from the root f.r.q - "to split" or "to separate". From this context, ALLAH tells us the the Book of Musa was split into TWO. Two of WHAT?

                    1. TAURAT REVEALED TO MOSES?

The Quran never says that the Taurat was given to Moses. The Taurat were with the Israelite and the Jews, and that this particular section of the Book had something to do with the Jews only although the Taurat, refers to a body of legislation that was given to both the Israelites and the Jews. Prophet Musa, a Messenger-Prophet was not only sent to the Bani Israel but also to the people of Fir3aun, who were non Israelites ? . This Taurat is not identical to the so called first five books of the Old Testament called the Pentateuch. In fact, there are no such things as the 5 books of Moses. A fallacy created by the devils. There is just one Taurat!

Exodus 1249 One Torah shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Numbers 1516 One Torah and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you

Numbers 1529 Ye shall have one Torah for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

The one Taurat that was given to the home born meaning the Ismaelites, those who were Jews, and the stranger that sojourneth, that is, referring to the Israelites,

So what were the Taurat and injeel?

AQ. 0303 "We sent down to thee the Book in truth, attesting to what IS BETWEEN, SUPPORT IT and I sent down the Taurat AND the Injeel."

This verse states that the Quran confirms the Taurat and Injeel which were revealed before Prophet Muhammad and that these ?entities? were in Pro Muhammad's possession, or at least in the possession of the Jews at the time of Pro Muhammad.

AQ 0323 Do you not consider, , those who were given a Section of the Book? They are invited to the Book of ALLAH that it should arbitrate between them; then a party of them turns away, and they are refusing.

AQ 0451"Hast thou not turned thy vision to those who were given a Section of the Book? they believe in sorcery and Taghut (Evil), and say to the Unbelievers that they are better guided in the (right) way than the believers!"

AQ 0460 Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you, , and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer legislation to Taghut, while they were commanded to reject it; and Satan wishes to lead them far astray.

If we read the above verses, we will find that this particular section of the Book was given to-

                    A. The Jews only ?
                    B. They believe in Taghut
                    C. They requested judgement from the Prophet.

Read the Quran, verse 0323 AND 0451 to 60, it tells us what the section of the Book is; who was the recipient of the section of the Book, and of the verses mentioned which is in conjunction with verses 0541 to 44.

AQ.0541 - O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their usages, saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah ? never will you possesses for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.

AQ.0542 - Avid listeners to falsehood, devourers of unlawful. So if they come to you, , judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them ? never will they harm you at all. And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

AQ 0543 - "But why do they come to thee for JUDGEMENT, WHEN THEY HAVE THE TAURAT IN WHICH IS THE COMMAND OF ALLAH......

AQ.0544 - I, We sent down the Taurat, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted judged by it for the Jews, as did the scholars and rabbis by that with which they were entrusted of the Book of ALLAH, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear ME, and do not exchange MY verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what ALLAH has revealed ? then it is those who are the disbelievers.

There you are! The Taurat, is the Section of the Book - a ZABUR! The exact meaning of ZABUR is precisely a ?Section?. The Taurat which is a zabur was the section of the Book given to the Jews! From the Quranic rendering of the word zabur -

AQ 1898 - Bring me SECTIONS / PARTS of iron

AQ 2353 - But the people divided their religion among them into SECTS / SECTIONS / GROUPS

The verse 0544, refers to the people before Musa, that is, the Jews and 0545, refers both to the people before and after Musa, that is the Jews and Israelites. Both kitab and zabur are nouns and it can be singular or plural unlike Taurat and Injeel, which are both proper nouns.

                    1. THE TAURAT AND INJEEL ARE TWO SECTIONS OF THE BOOK GIVEN TO THE ISRAELITE

The Quran affirms that the Taurat and the Injeel were different ?entities? and circulated separately. Also nowhere in the Quran specify that the Taurat and Injeel are Books. The Prophets Dawood and Esa, happened to be of the Bani Israel , received a complete set of the Book, which comprises of the two SECTIONS . A careful examination of the scriptures that ALLAH entrusted to the Children of Israel shows that what was in their possession was none other than the Taurat and Injeel.

AQ. 26196 - "Without doubt it is (announced) IN the revealed Sections of the earliest two ."

AQ. 26197 - And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

These Sections of the Book were given to Dawood and Esa respectively, during their ministries. The Israelite was the only nation who received a complete set of Book AND that was during the ministry of Esa because of an adendum / edition made as I have explained above.

AQ. 348-50 - "And HE will teach him (Esa) THE BOOK AND the Judgement AND the Taurat AND the Injeel. And a Messenger to the children of Israel - That I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I determine for you out of dust like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with Allah's permission and I heal the blind and the leprous, and bring the dead to life with Allah's permission and I inform you of what you should eat and what you should store in your houses; most surely there is a sign in this for you, if you are believers. And a verifier of that which IS BETWEEN, SUPPORTS IT of the Taurat and that I may allow you part of that which has been forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me."

AQ. 0546 And in their footsteps (the prophets) We sent Esa the son of Mary, verifying the Taurat which WAS BETWEEN, SUPPORTS IT; and We gave him the lnjeel. Therein is guidance and light and verifying the Taurat which IS BETWEEN, SUPPORTS IT, guidance and an admonition to the righteous.

AQ. 05110 - "When Allah said O Esa son of Maryam! Remember My favor on you and on your mother, when I strengthened you with the holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and when of old age, and when I taught you the Book AND the Judgement AND the Taurat AND the lnjeel; and when you determined out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by My permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission, and you healed the blind and the leprous by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I withheld the children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear arguments, but those who disbelieved among them said This is nothing but clear enchantment."

AQ. 616 "And remember, Esa, the son of Maryam, said ?Oh Children of Israel! I am the apostle of God to you, confirming that which IS BETWEEN, SUPPORTS IT of the Taurat and giving the good news of a Messenger who will come after me, his name being Ahmad, but when he came to them with clear arguments they said This is clear magic.?"

The above verses shows that the Israelite received a complete set of the Book which include the two zubur . Now the Book and Judgement aka Ummul Kitab were the Books of the Prophets. This Book was an authorization of Prophethood and an identification of the Prophets.

From the above verification of the Furqan, which meets the rendering of SPLITTING, that is, into two sections - zubur, the Tawrat and the Injeel. And that the latter was sent down as a first adendum / edition. The second adendum / edition is non other than the Quran, which is actually the Book of Musa, that the Last Prophet received.

AQ; 3223 - And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, so be not in doubt concerning the receiving of it, and We made it a guide for the children of Israel.

The Last Prophet received the same Book as that of Prophet Musa, the only difference is that it comes with a second addendum / edition.

AQ; 1587 - And We have certainly given you, seven of the SECOND ADDENDUM / EDITION and the Great Qur'an.

AQ; 3923 - Allah has sent down the best statement a SIMILAR BOOK, THE SECOND ADDENDUM / EDITION. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.

The second addendum / edition of the Book that the Last Prophet received is made explicit by ALLAH in the Quran 16101 - 102

And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You are but an inventor." But most of them do not know.

Say, , The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims."

Hope this will help, INSHA ALLAH

                      Salaam

                      ANOTHER PRESUMPTION WITHOUT ANY BACKUP!

Prophet Esa WAS sent ONLY TO THE ISRAELITE. QURAN 0349

And a MESSENGER TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah. And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.

As for the Bible according to the Quranic rendering the Book of Musa aka The Furqan.

Brother, do you think the Bible is true scripture of God?

I still think that the Bible contains mixture between truth and falsehood.

What do you think about brother mmkhan's opinion below?

Bible is nothing but a hadith of Eisa. In which some things are taken from the word of Allah and added to false made up stories.

                          Peace,

It was the Book of Musa and was from GOD until it was superseded by the Quran, the second addendum of the Book of Musa.

I still think that the Bible contains mixture between truth and falsehood.

Yes it is as such. The corruption begins when there was a suspension of Messengers as the Quran says in 0519

O followers of the Book! indeed Our Messenger has come to you explaining to you after a cessation of the messengers, lest you say There came not to us a giver of good news or a warner, so indeed there has come to you a giver of good news and a warner; and Allah has power over all things.

This was a time of controversies by the Monophysites and Trinitrians.

What do you think about brother mmkhan's opinion below?

Yeah, he is right except that it was not the Bible but the New Testament

                          Peace

Both replies to this important question are incorrect. First, as another astute commenter pointed out, the word abouweh does NOT imply man-man parenting (complete with adoption no less), but can apply to either man-man or man-woman. And in this case, clearly and unequivocally refers to the father and mother of the child. The Qur'an does not deal with an important subject such as this by a mere word in an aya whose subject is something else entirely. Plus, the case of the boy whom al-Khidr killed is entirely separate from the case of the two orphans whose wall he reinforced. Nor does the Qur'an ignore this important subject entirely. Instead, let's examine the ayat where this subject is discussed openly and directly.

These ayat occur mainly in the case of the people of Lot. The people of Lot, referred to as disbelievers and criminals, were not your "ordinary" homosexuals. Note that this was an entire community of homosexuals. Note the way in which they replied to Lot, who felt under attack by them, "you know what we want." Shockingly, they wanted to take the angels of Allah who had taken the form of men. Those angels were not men, certainly not homosexual men. This means that this was a homosexual cult who most certainly raped and abused innocent men and boys. The extreme punishment fits the oppression and abuse their behavior involved.

Note this specific reference in 2928-30

'And Lot, when he said to his people ?You commit a lewdness that no others in the world have done before!? 2929 ?You sexually approach men, and you commit highway robbery, and you bring all vice to your society.? But the only response from his people was to say ?Bring us the retribution of God, if you are being truthful!? 2930 He said ?My Lord, grant me victory over the wicked people."'

Here the especially oppressive deeds are detailed, and highway robbery is listed among their crimes. There is more "vice" here than homosexuality.

The fact that there is no clear prohibition outside the story of Lot except in 4116, where it appears to be described as sinful and punishable by an unspecified punishment, but also forgiveable, indicates that gayness itself does not constitute the horrific crime that brought about the destruction of Lot's people.

Also there is reference in describing intercourse to "in the place that is lawful," implying that sodomy involves a "place" that is "unlawful," and that this applies to both hetero- or homosexual relations. Which puts lesbians at an advantage... But there is significantly no punishment specifically mentioned with regard to this prohibition.

Filtering all these findings through the overriding principle of compassion, I think we can say with certainty that these examples and prohibitions are overwhelmingly directed at oppression and promiscuity. In the case of Lot, an oppressive and aggressive cult of homosexuality had taken over an entire community, clearly committing acts of oppression as well as interfering in the normal development and prosperity of a community. So there's a huge difference between this case and the case of two people of the same gender with naturally occurring attractions to each other forming loving and responsible relationships in a way that demonstrates to Allah that they also respect and fear Him.

In other words, the same laws apply to both homosexual and heterosexual relations -- prohibiting promiscuity, adultery and abuse or oppression. The specific prohibition of sodomy may have a health/welfare component, but should be considered in context of fearing Allah. In any event, I believe marriage, whether legalized or simply entered into as a solemn vow with witnesses (as is allowed in "normal" marriage), is what Islam would require. As with all sexual relations, they should be kept private and not flaunted ostentatiously in public. The emphasis is on love and bonding in the context of faith. This is the sense in which I believe such relations are permissible.

This subject of "homosexuallity" is such that nobody today can freely speak about because immediately all objectivity is gone. The question is not to understand or to learn or to extract wisdon from the subjet and for the people, but to classify people as "pollitically correct or incorrect with reference to the different strains of politicar correctness of the moment. Therefore debates are useless.

The whole division of people between homos and heteros is a scam. Anybody can be hetero and anybody can be homo. Everything is in the mind except when there are clearly biological facts in a person that objectively make unreal for him or her to be adscribed to one of the two sexes. Other than that everything is in the mind, and therefore it is all in the minds of the person. Not to say with that that the person is inconditionnaly free, because the mind, as we well know has its own conditions and there are things that can be changed and things that cannot without a lot of treatment or effort.

But to establish the categories Homo and hetero as something of the substantive, fundamental make up of every person is a fraud. As with most things in people, there is a choice, which as said for some may be very near impossibly because of the things involved in the psychological make up, but which in general is possible, like in most things in the human psyche.

Nowhere does the Qur'an establish such two fundamental categories of people.

On the other hand, sexual activity and relations of whetever kind are part of the privacy of every person. Believers are commanded to keep away from invading privacy, from prying on things that do not concern them. There is no need for anybody to expose publicly his or her intimate affairs. So it is nobody's business to enter into that either to praise or to condemn anything. What is the need to judge?

Marriage is a human institution from as far as we can go back in history or prehistory because the reproduction of the species is the first need of the any species, also for the humans, therefore there is a social need to uphold and protect an institution which takes care of reproduction. But private enjoyment of sex without reproduction is not an ov erriding need of any society and therefore not a question of protecting or not proteting. Sex for the sex of sex without the possibility of reproduction is not wrong certainly but it is of no consequence for the species as such, therefore of no fundamental concern for it.

Why should society as a whole and institutionnally care about what enjoyment people get in their privacy or why should it intrude on it?

But of course, on occasions traditional societies have made themselves open to attacs on the isntitution of marriage whern they have made a joke of it by, for instance, discriminating or mistreating what has been called "illegitimate children" and their parents, thus making void the object of marriage which is precisely the protection of the reproduction, that is of the offspring and by classifying reproduction facts not according to God's law, but according to the power urges of the human concerned. Where the actual reproductive facts are disregarded and subjected to convenience of the powerful, (mostly men) there appear the use of the natural institution of marriage for other purposes, like social standing, money, alliances, etc., etc., and marriage is distracted from its purpose, so those who are shocked by "gay marriage" should rather aske themselves where that comes from, because it is precisely the wrong use of marriage for wordly non natural purposes what has open the gates for anything goes, because marriage has nothing to do with protecting reproduction and offspring.

So (I am being sarcasting) lets carry ahead with the hetero-homo scam.

The Qur'an speakes of the mithaq ghalith, the natural marriage, and of faithfulness and loyalty to it. We should stick to the high and rearding human ideals st forth in Qur'an and not let ourselves be diverted into polemics that do nothing to clarify anthing and only bring abut useless wrod strife for nothing.

                                Salaam
