RENNET (ANIMAL) An enzyme taken from the stomach of a newly killed calf used in the cheese making process. Vegetarian cheese is produced using microbial or fungal enzymes, or chymosin.
VANILLA EXTRACT Vanilla is a plant product. It is extracted with alcohol as the solvent of choice, from the vanilla bean and is normally kept in a solution containing alcohol. If you examine at a bottle of vanilla extract, you will find it lists alcohol as an ingredient, along with the percentage of alcohol.
WHEY During cheese making, a coagulum is formed by clotting milk with rennet. When the coagulum is cut, a watery liquid known as whey is released and drained off leaving the curd to be salted and further processed into cheese. Whey contains water, fat, protein, lactose, minerals and lactic acid. Cream, butter, cheese, drinks, syrups and powder are some of the products made from whey.

The list is just fanatical, or may be worth pondering for health freaks, I don't care much about all this, to me wine sauce or gelatine is okay as it excludes pigs meat(ONLY MEAT OF PIG IS HARAM) and wine is burned in cooking process .

Please read my previous posts to understand my position. I am quite comfortable with my feelings about the birthday cake issue and comparing it to pizza or any other specially prepared food is, IMO taking it to extremes.

My dad used to tell me a story that many years ago in Turkey Imams used to say, "if you do a kurbani then the head and the skin should be donated to the mosque or your kurbani will not be accepted by God." Moral of the story, always do your research or something like that )
I have seen cattle being slortered in the slorter houses here in UK. The process is very quick. First the animal has a gun pointed to the side of the head in which a long peice (4 inches I think) of metal is fired and then retracted (this apparently kills the brain so animal can not feel any pain), at this point the animal is hoysted into the air by its back legs and throat is slit and left hanging for blood to drain. This whole process takes seconds, non of the waiting animals are allowed to witness the process, its a very efficient conveyer belt opperation. Question if animals are killed in this manner, will you say it is ok for muslims to eat or is it Haram?

If Hunting is allowed killing animal in that manner is also allowed.
Personally I don?t see any problem in that if God name is mentioned before slitting the animal throat.
