(when God made a convenant with Moses . . .) idh Allahu huwa al-kabeeru (Behold God is the great one) kuntu attakallamu idh jaa-a akhi (I was talking, then my brother came). idhaa yumkin rajaa-an. . . (whenver (with the meaning of if) possible please) huwa muhandisun idhaa (So/Then he's an engineer). Less commonly idhaa huwa muhandisun (idhaa jaa'a nasrullaahi wal-fathu) (When God's help and opportunity/victory come . . .) Idhan huwa muhandisun, huwa muhandisun idhan (So he's an engineeer). All off these can be doubled up with fa or wa. Old Arabic/ Classical Arabic likes redundancy with differnet word choice. (it's a form fo eloquence). fa and wa also have functions of sentence starters and commas. Like Giver her an education, the best one. So I will not respond to the seeders of doubt, (fa) Arab or non-Arab because only true linguist truly think about how things are said, (fa) what is strong and good flow or what is akward (but valid) flow. Like an Arabic teacher i had would tell me often when I would say certaint things "You can say it and it makes sense but it's weak" And what i said it in more commonly used/established ways he would say "Good, that was strong." Peace all, As brother Nadeem has excellently said, deeds/actions are more important than words/names. One can search for the numerous references to "good works" and "good doers" in the Qur'aan. "Ahad" has been used in the Qur'aan as descriptive attribute of The God, and not of the believers. Calling ourselves "Ahad" would be nonsensical, and "Ahadie" would be similar to "Allahism". Let us see what The God's message is concerning this 2132 And Abraham enjoined his sons and Jacob "O my sons, God has selected the system for you, so do not die except as ones who have submitted (muslimoon)." 3102 O you who believe, revere God as He deserves to be revered, and do not die except as ones who have submitted (muslimoon). 5111 "And I inspired the disciples that you shall believe in Me and My messenger; they said "We believe, and bear witness that we have submitted (muslimoon)."" 6163 "He has no partner, and it is to this that I was commanded, and I am the first of those who have submitted (muslimeen)." 7126 "And you are only seeking revenge on us because we believed in our Lord's signs when they came to us. In the above translations, "became peaceful", or "made peace" can be substituted for "submitted", and "peacemaker" or "peaceful" can be substituted for "submitter". It's evident because it says "from before as well as in this" - Ibraheem couldn't have named the ones "before" and "in this" as Muslims, since he was dead long before Mohammed delivered the Message of Al-Qur'aan. Many reasons (1) As Faisal pointed out, they became apostates by rejecting the sunnah of the prophet (pbuh). (2) They don't believe in the messenger of Allah (pbuh) because if they had faith in him, they would also have had faith in his words. Just as a person has faith in Allah and therefore has faith in His words. (3) They are corrupting religion by spreading misguidance. And anyone who causes such a mischief in the world is waging war against Allah and the Messenger, and such people need to be fought back and gotten rid of, unless they repent and turn to right path. The Holy Prophet (pbuh) said Narrated 'Ali I relate the traditions of Allah's Apostle to you for I would rather fall from the sky than attribute something to him falsely. But when I tell you a thing which is between you and me, then no doubt, war is guile. I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "In the last days of this world there will appear some young foolish people who will use (in their claim) the best speech of all people (i.e. the Qur'an) and they will abandon Islam as an arrow going through the game. Their belief will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have practically no belief), so wherever you meet them, kill them, for he who kills them shall get a reward on the Day of Resurrection." Salaam, Nice question. I'd be interested in hearing how the poll participants defined each choice before making their decision. For example the Muslims at the masjid I first started going never identified themselves as Sunni/Wahabi, even though Muslims outside of this masjid would . Those at the masjid called their interpretation of the deen Islam, and said that anyone who didn't align themselves with their interpretation weren't Muslims, or lost Muslims at best. On a biological level both camps - Sunni and non-Sunni - considered themselves human. What's the best way to deal with identity politics within the Ummah?

Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother no you would abhor it. Fear Allah, Allah is the receiver of the penitent most merciful" Unfortunately in western societies suspicion, spying and backbiting is practiced to such a large degree, that members of these societies have long ago ceased to see the sin in this behavior. I've rarely seen such a stupid, self-sufficient and racist statement using God's word as a vector especially by a person claiming to "walk in Allahs light". wow lk

As Salaam Alaikum, Right now I am not reading the Quran too much, but this just popped up in my head while surfing... (so please don't give me smart comments like , "look it up yourself&quot Does the Quran actually ever say, "follow the Prophet Muhammad"? I ask this because many hadith followers will say we are suppose to obey and FOLLOW the Prophet. The "follow" part gives them support to say that even if someone claimed to observed the Prophet doing something, it is enough to make it a command for folks. They obligate themselves to doing something based on what they believe the Prophet did, not nessarily commanded. Does anyone have any insight on this? Peace, With all due Respect, This is simple. We are told to obey God and obey rasool. Right? So. We are to obey what Rasool tells us - keep in mind that rasool means Messenger and The Message - and that means that Rasool (Muhammad) did everything he was told to do according to The Quran. For example, prophet Muhammad told them O you who believe, when you observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), you shall (1) wash your faces, (2) wash your arms to the elbows, (3) wipe your heads, and (4) wash your feet to the ankles. If you were unclean due to sexual orgasm, you shall bathe. If you are ill, or traveling, or had any digestive excretion (urinary, fecal, or gas), or had (sexual) contact with the women, and you cannot find water, you shall observe the dry ablution (Tayammum) by touching clean dry soil, then rubbing your faces and hands. GOD does not wish to make the religion difficult for you; He wishes to cleanse you and to perfect His blessing upon you, that you may be appreciative. Now the prophet went home and had a bath. After he washed his ears really good and his nose and his neck. Then he prayed. Somebody outside his window was watching him so that person wrote that down and wrote this"I saw prophet washed his ears, nose, neck.." What this person, who was watcing the prophet forgot, is this he didn't ask the prophet why would he wash ears, nose and neck when he had just told them how to perform ablution before a prayer? Had he asked the prophet one simple question"O prophet, why did you wash your ears, your nose and your neck prior to the prayer, when you just told us how we are suppose to perform the ablution before the prayer?" He might have gotten this answer from a prophet"Because, my friend, i just came from a - let's say Syria - and i was travelling through the desert and there was a sand storm and i was covered with sand, i had to really clean myself and if you watched long enough, you'd see that i cleaned myself properly and then i performed the ablution before the prayer." Of course, this event did not take place and i'm just assuming here, this is just my theory, God knows best but i think this is how the mistake might have happened. They didn't ask the prophet about the important stuff, they spied on him, watched his every move and just kept writing and wriitng and writing and writing. If they asked the prophet more questions, they would be more informed. Of course, they did bother the prophet a lot and did ask him plenty of questions but they shouldn't write down things they had no knowldge about. I hope The Exalted God AllPowerful guides me right and gives me more knowldge. I have no idea how i thought of this theory but it keeps hanging out there and it seems possible. Peace, With all due Respect, Not at all, Andya, not at all. In fact, i've noticed that sunnis always out sunna infront of The Quran. If you tell ordinary sunni that you're a Muslim, first thing he'll ask is"Do you follow prophet's sunna, do you believe that Muhammad was Allah's messenger?" Now, at this point, when you say that you believe in all God's messengers, they might repeat the question"Yeah, but do you believe that Muhammad was God's messenger?" No matter how many times you say that you don't make distinction among messengers or prophets, they will insist that you exclude Muhammad and untill you do, you'll be marked as kaffir in their eyes. I know i was. We are believers here, all of us, sisters and brothers, we support each othe rin doing good and forbidding evil and we strive for the best, God willing. Peace. jedi

Yes, i have fallen in Love with GOD. It's all one ever needs. I think i did felt that.... but... it kinda like just a glimpse of a moment hard to get it back but i know it's there.... It's the stillness that is God's Love, It's the not thinking or analyzing of anything that is God's Love.... It's the feeling of everything that there is. Praise be to GOD. My Love. HE is sooo Pure that doesn't go through human Opinions. Instead HE Comes. And then you see the meanings you couldn't before. And realize that HE was here, inside ALL the time, but you were unaware. Human is a Post Festum Experience of the Genius of ALL Creation. I think you're in love. But... from these words it sounded like you're humanly in Love with something that we cannot grasp (yet?). Which i could say could mislead you to love something else. Probably the Love itself has been deified? Who knows... From my experiences, the more we focus and hold on to one thing/principal/thought/philosophy, the more it will manifest and disregard the others, thinking that we are right, others are wrong, hence a conditional love. The longer we hold, the more it will grab on to us, which makes it harder to release. We just need to learn what it is..... Just a luciferian thought. .... Peace

(Surah Al-Ma?idah 54) This verse is clear - when The Quran was complete, written down and even memorized, every single matter was clear, they felt no need to ask prophet Muhammad anything, especially when it came to The Quran. They all had copies, most of them or even all of them even memorized it since they didn't exactly had that many books to get lost. One must askher/himself"How many books did exist 1400 years ago, books that mattered, books that were famous and books that EVERYONE had in their homes?" Peace. jedi

Why did they not talk about the Qur'an? The documentary should be called Muslims Around the World and their intepretations of the Message. I agree, it wasn't really about the Qur'an just interpretation. But with all the sects so-called Muslims have made in the religion, it's probably the only thing Channel 4 can come up with. After I watch Channel 4's documetries about Muslims I go on their forums... usually the people who had know idea about Islam end up even more confused then they did before... so it didn't really help.
