Peace OPF, Sorry I missed this If I recall correctly, the good Dr. and co. built upon the Parwez exposition of the quran for QXP. The employment of tasreef is a staple of the text and, for the most part, whenever an ayah is expounded upon it is well-referenced, citing the occurrences which lead the authors to exegete what they have. So, to answer your question, imo, "exposition" would best describe it, with exegesis a close second. Peace, Tay pervez (may Allah rest his soul in peace and forgive his shortcomings) was comparatively a sensible person. Not like today's "pseudointellectuals" who do not know even the "i3raab " of "ma3toof/ma3toof alai".

Who is zamakhshari of the present day? But in principle, I am not with anybody, frankly speaking. In classical and modern standard arabic, the rule is that ma3touf and ma3touf 3alaihi have the same (underlying) case ending. A preposition is linked to a verb (or equational sentence). The ma3touf and ma3touf 3alaihi should share the same verb (or equational sentence) like inna 3alaa altaawila kitaaban wa qalaman There are a book and a pen on the table. I istened to a story and a piece of news. Once you change the verb, you no more have a ma3touf and ma3touf 3alihi I listened to a story and read a book There is a thread for those who want to learn arabic to pose their questions http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=12841.0 Dear sister. Thanks a lot for the reply. As far as Zamakhshari/Seebawah/Khalil are concerned ,these are born in every era but different names and motives. Anway thanks again.

Peace I was watching Gods Warriors on CNN and it reminded me of what they say on TV. Always, the "Great Monotheistic Religions", which I have no clue how Christianity fits in it, yet they are the ones that calls us a Pagan religion. Peace Calling someone a pagan nowadays seems to be pretty common. With the amount of times its been used its kind of lost its value as an insult. Im probably a pagan to someone else. polythiesm =/= paganism.

Chapter 107 is awesome. It is direct proof that the way to acknowledge in the deen is to do good deeds. This is a very powerful and important concept. True. See my notes on it here http//www.quraninstitute.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=211 I agree with your notes. This chapter brings up some interesting points, some of which are mind-blowing the word "al deen" is used, thus implying it is on about THE deen. (Where is 'al deen' explained?) 'Ad-deen' has been explained in the Quran as the power relation between the Maalik/Master/Owner(God) and the abd/slave/servant. i.e. it is based on Mulk and Ibadah. So when we give our ibadah/service to God, we are in 'ad-deen/deenillah'. These 'musalleen' are those who consider ibadah to be mere worship and rituals, and not service by following God's orders.

Peace, No, the organisation was started by Dr.Shabbir in 1989. I joined it almost 2 years ago and have been running the show since. The new website is one of the first changes I made together with the webdesigners. Now we are constantly creating new ideas for books and other projects.

Peace Leoxyz, Thank you for the detailed explanation and drawing my attention to the incorrect translation of "yattawwafa bihima" in my earlier post. May The God reward you. That is partially true as per my research. When "taafa" is followed by "bi" or "3alaa", it can also mean "to visit"/"to come to"/"to approach"/"to draw/become near" or "to go round about among" i.e. intermingle. For example ATAAFA BIHI/ALAIHI = He came to him or visited him; he approached him; he drew, or was, or became near to him (synonymous with "ALAMMA BIHI/ALAIHI" and "QAARABAHU&quot TAAFA BINNISAA = He came to women; he visited the women. TAAFA BILQAWMI = He went round about among the people/party i.e. he intermingled with them. If it says "taafa bi 3alaa", then it can mean "go around"; for example "tuftu bihi 3alaa al-bayti" meaning "I went round the house". REFERENCE Lane Lexicon. In 2158 we hear "yattawwafa bihima", and according to the context the most appropriate meaning would be "he visits them/comes to them/approaches them/becomes near to them". Similarly in 2229, "yattawwafoo bi al-bayti" would mean "they visit/come to/approach/draw near the house" according to the context. In 2458, "tawwafoona alaykum" would mean "they intermingle with you"/"they go round about among you" according to the context. Walking around/circumambulating will not make any sense in those signs and other similar signs. Please go through the thread referenced in my post above for discussion on the meaning of "al-safaa" and "al-marwata" and the references. The revised translation of 2158 after the appropriate correction would be The camel and the sheep that give a lot of milk (al-safa) and the stone on which they are cooked/slaughtered (al-marwata) are from what The God makes us aware with (sha3air) so whomever visits the house or maintains there is no blame on him if he comes to/approaches/draws near them (yattawwafa bihima) and whoever does good voluntarily, then The God is Appreciative, Knowledgeable. This is my last comment on this issue unless something new turns up. Dear Tanveer; I appreciate your effort. But here again you have comitted a mistake (Blunder) The Ayaat which you gave and I put their text in my Previous post which I am going to copy paste Now coming to your word ROOTS (,, ) ( &#1606 The derivatives of these roots are used 40 times in the Holy Quran . Among them is used once Most of derivatives are Triltiteral and primitive verbs but a few are "Derived Verbs" . The Ayas which you have referred to I putting exact Ayas below 3745 4371 7615 5224 5617 7619 5544 6819 Among them First three are using the Derived verbs from Baab ( ) while rest of 5 are from Primitive verb from Baab ( ) While our Aya under discussion is as follows 2158 The word used over here is from Baab ( ) and same derivative is used in another aya 2229 In these Ayaat the Baabs used are 1Nasara /yansuru 2Tafeel 3Tafaaul I have clearly pointed out in my postBut you have looked in the Lane's lexicon in Baab "Ifaal" Honestly speaking ,unless you do not the Arabic grammar Properly ,you cannot consult the Arabic dictionary.I have noticed it is your third or fourth post in which you are comitting such mistakes.I do not question your sincerity/effort.But you open the Lane's lexicon ,and see which material suites your ideas and starts running after it. Arabic dictionaries are not like English or Urdu dictionaries. The correct method is -First know the roots -Then see if it is being used in 'Primitive Baabs" or Derived forms -Then accordingly look for it. In none of the above quoted Ayaat this verb is used in "Ifaal" derived form. How can you get the correct meaning? 3617 (3617) and our only responsibility is to convey the message plainly"

Peace Right, I remember it now that he saw the spirit of Jesus. Before this he had apparently stoned Christians. Its funny that people believe this, yet theres people that spew this exact same thing. Such as seeing the Virgin Mary in a tortilla. Thats actually an anecdote, as it was sold on eBay I believe. Im getting the book, cant wait to read it. Hopefully Ill get it by tom to read. If he used to be a Christian, did he change his last name or something? Ehrman makes me think he's Jewish. Like a Weinstein or Goldberg. As far as voting is concerned, that has to be the least legitimate way to solidify the religion of the state. If the scripture doesnt agree with the hearsay of the people, it shouldnt be followed (ie Jesus being God). Whats more, if the scripture contradicts itself, such as circumcision and other Jewish traditions being outdone by Paul, it definitely shouldn't be followed. "Lets vote to eat pork" is basically what they did. Peace It really is funny how people buy into things like that. I don't understand it. Awesome, tell me what you think. Yeah he might have converted. Exactly! The most efficient way is to study the scripture and gain the best understanding. Not voting for extra arbitrary manmade laws. Peace

By the way, about carrying out a "salat" in an audible and moderate voice, I'd like to add a view. 17110 Say "Call on God or call on the Almighty. Whichever it is you call on, for to Him are the best names." And do not be too loud in making your connection, nor too quite; but seek a path in between. This manner of moderate voice, as I understand by seeing the verse as a whole, is about when you "call" on to God, don't be too loud or too quiet; but seek a path in between. I understand that the "Call on" translation is mapped from Dal-Ayn-Waw = to seek, desire, ask, demand, call upon, invoke, ascribe, cry out, call out to, pray, supplicate, petition, require, need, summon, invite, assert, succour. (e.g. 'daAAa' in phonetic search engine). Adopted son (adiya, pl. of da'iy). Therefore, I understand that this occurance of the word salat/connection is about the thing right infront of it in the same verse. So, when I want to call on God, asking him for guidance/help/etc, I do so in this prescribed manner. There are many commandments in the Quran, and we should honor them - but we must first be sincere about it sincerely verify the existence of God, verify/test that this Quran is the message of God or not... We want to worship God, not the Quran or any book. You normally always see the word salat (connection) or aqemoussalat (honor the connection) after/before/near commandments. Let's see the context and harmony. The messenger brought a "message", a message is not a collection of unrelated words/sentences, let's understand the message as a whole - if God so wills. May God Guide.
