Peace sis honor, Before you get carried away, please go through the following discussion by brother Asad with brother Ayman in which he proves that "Muhammad" as used in al-qur'aan is also the proper name of the Prophet especially in 472 http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=11105.msg106251#msg106251 I am very sorry to hear about your situation. You should keep making all humanly possible efforts for reconciliation and education of your husband about the true islam but if he still wants to persist in his ways then you may be right that he might not have any place for you or Allah in his heart. There is no reason to continue a relationship when there is no mental and spiritual compatibilty any more and in that case it might be best to part ways. Every individual situation is different however, so you should use your own judgment and wisdom as to what is the best course of action in your situation. I don't know if there are any children involved because then the matter becomes more complicated. I hope Allah gives you patience and makes that course of action happen which is the best for you. After all, this life is just an illusion and a test and the real life will be the life hereafter in which there will be no problems. Keep in mind that no soul is burdened beyond what it can bear 742 As for those who believe and do good; We do not burden a soul beyond its means; those are the dwellers of Paradise, in it they will abide. 2135 Every soul will taste death. And We burden you with evil and good as a test, and it is to Us that you will return. 2362 And We do not burden a soul except with what it can bear. And We have a record that speaks with the truth, they will not be wronged. 2286 God does not burden a soul beyond its means. For it is what it earns, and against it is what it earns. "Our Lord, do not mind us if we forget or make mistakes; our Lord, do not place a burden upon us as You have placed upon those before us; our Lord, do not place upon us what we cannot bear; pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us; You are our patron, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people." 6152 "And do not come near the money of the orphan, except for what is best, until he reaches his independence; and give honestly full measure and weight equitably. We do not burden a soul except by what it can bear, and if you speak then be just even if against a relative; and regarding the pledges made to God, you shall observe them. This He has enjoined you that you may remember." Seek Allah's help with patience and salat and the support will surely come 245 And seek help through patience, and through the salat/connection. It is a difficult thing, but not so for the humble. 2153 O you who believe, seek help through patience and through the salat/connection, God is with the patient ones. Put your trust in Allah and He will make things happen if they are meant to happen 653 And He will provide for him whence he never expected. Anyone who puts his trust in God, then He suffices him. God's commands will be done. God has decreed for everything its fate. You can try sending a PM to the mods, who might know of any support groups for women in a situation like yours. You should make "dua" in the words of 2286. May Allah help you and support you and give you patience and strength to deal with this test. Salam Tanveer, I really appreciate your help, and the surahs that you have shared. I do not have any children, which is probably best considering my situation right now. I have and will continue to pray to god to guide my husband, and to also guide me to the best path, I have held on for a long time, and I will continue to hold onto my husband, but it is him, that is constantly threatning to leave me for believing as I do in islam...but I will continue to hold on as long as I can. I love him very much, and want the best for us insha'allah.

I just want to add to the question of killing. 018.074 PICKTHAL So they twain journeyed on till, when they met a lad, he slew him. (Moses) said What! Hast thou slain an innocent soul who hath slain no man? Verily thou hast done a horrid thing. This verse must ofcourse be read in it's context. About euthanasia, you do posess some sense right? If not, no.

Jankren, Lost Philosopher, You both make interesting points, thank you. I've not read the book, but from what others are saying about it, I disagree with him, at least to an extent. America has become quite a spoiled little nation, which I believe has caused many people to become so wrapped up in the materialism that they in turn forget about what is really important. They're worshipping their fancy "things" and forgetting about God althogether. However, the people responsible for 9/11 are just that, responsible. If say I was raised by my parents to believe that say, people who wear purple are bad, and that I should physically assault them, that doesn't negate the fact that in the end, if I did hurt them, it is me who did it. Much peace, lilyfleur

The only exception in my view is being in a psychological condition that is beyond human control... God has given ample of resources for us not to find an excuse for asking for miracles or for an escape route. peace 429 O you who believe, do not consume your money between you unjustly, except through a trade which is mutually agreed by you. And do not kill yourselves; God is Merciful towards you. 430 And whoever does so out of animosity and transgression, We will cast him to a Fire; and this for God is very easy. so if someone decides to kill himself for some other reason then animosity or transgression, would he still go to hell?

Well yes Honor, The evil spirits were indeed cast into the herd of swine. This is also an indication of their closeness to humanity. Do we invite evil spirits into us when we eat pork? I think this is the possibility- apart from the parasites etc. There is one good thing the pig can do. They have an incredible digestion and can eat almost anything. We can use the methane from their excrement - and I know someone who did that. Of course it is very explosive!

Peace be upon you Lilyfleur, Peace is indeed the answer, but it is a peaceful state of mind where you are not moved by emotion, instead you COMMAND your energies(emotions). Salaam= peace Islam = peacefulness Muslim = one who is peaceful (at peace) Submission falls under the word "sujood" and is closely ties with Peace, however when we properly understand the real meaning of "Islam" we can see how correct you are to strive for peace. This is why we greet "PEACE be upon you" (not submission be upon you). We are to strive to correct out minds so that there is NO EVENT that can come to us that can move us from this state of PEACE. That is the Garden! Being ruled by emotion is the FIRE...and when we die, we continue with our same state of mind we died with which is why we are told "DO NOT DIE EXCEPT AS ONE WHO IS AT PEACE. Here is something for you to ponder...have you noticed how your rate of breathing is tied into your emotions? Look how shallow and fast one breathes when emotional. The reSPIRITory system is crucial. We can dicuss this in another thread...but for now, just observe yourself and others. It is time for us to open Al Kitaab (the observable laws of the universe).

Peace "abrar", Dear Jonny, I am not superstitious but I believe that human emotions are beyond merely Quantum particles and are so fine and subtle that only God can truly define their nature. If someday in future Scientists do figure out how these emotions work then the concept of God and even Quran will become worthless. JK- This is the most absurd statement ive ever heard and is the reason why so many consider faith irrational. As science progresses we will find out more and more. Everything is a system or network of particles, be it a soul, angels, jinn or whatver. GOD too is not a magical being or something nonsensible like that. Ultimately everything is causal. Yes i agree GOD had to be there all at once and the quantum particles all aound were always there, compressed or otherwise. Also GOD is never fully comprehensible as you correctly say since to grasp the infinite fully is impossible but one can always tend to understand GOD more and more. So you see that whilst not violating causality the belief in the existence of GOD is rational and also inevitable whilst by your claims, which are by definition superstitious though your in denial, the exitence of GOD is just a belief, one of many. GOD Bless!

Peace Does indeed not the Quran speak of only a minority that is right, while the majority is astray? No sir. That is not wholly correct. It seems a generalization that the majority is in the wrong. The majority at times may be correct, obviously (to me). Besides, speaking of guidance to the system of God the majority is usually in some wrong concerning it, but at times the majority may be correct and guided rightly . Joe

Salam. USA attacked Afghanistan and Iraq and yes, then those countries have the right to attack USA in order to defend themselves but maybe it would be better not to return fire in a way of killing innocent Americans. After all, innocent Americans, ordinary citizens are not the ones to blame or attack, what Iraq and Afgahanistan have the right is this attack CIA headquarters, Pentagon and other MILITARY installations, because atatcking a business building doesn't make sense becasue people such as lawyers, teachers .... etc., have nothing to do with this war. Eye for eye. I think it's much better to be the bigger man and take the high road. If the so called "terrorists" want to attack USA again, God forbid, they should attack only the military places or any other bases where soldiers are. In the war you fight soldiers not civilians. No offence to my American friends here. Salam. I'm agreeing with Alen, the people have a right to defend themselves, but should only attack military targets. It is hard to find the true cause of the war or who is responsible, this war is dating back to the crusades and no one fighting is willing to talk which leads children into the war which just prolongs it. I guess what I'm say is that both sides are equally responsible for this conflict, attempting to stop this war in one moment will just get it reignited. It will take a while of negotiantions to settle this. All we can do now is hope that the next generation is smart enough to end it.
