Salaam guess001, Only through the limited ability of text can I share my disgust at this situation. God forbid this, but should this story of adultery be true I would be truly gutted. Although God encourages us to forgiveness, the sin of adultery and fornication renders more than the result of the sin itself, it hurts the feelings of others and can leave them devastated. If one truly believes in God, then they would understand the message contained in the Quran encourages us to protect our integrity with chastity. As I write this I feel my stomach churn in disgust at what the Wife and Mother who claims to be a Muslim may have done. My heart goes out to you guess001, this is not something I would stand for and I can only hope that you emerge from this unscathed. Peace prashant When Moses demanded to let his people be freed, the serious problem rose. The Jews tortured Jesus. You're talking about two separate time eras with two separate groups of people. Yes, they were all bani israel but those who followed Moses out of Egypt had long perished by the time Jesus came. Migration to save life from a tyrannical Government and (2) migration as a part of a program to lead the movement by a Prophet to victory are different in nature. They are one and the same. The prophet and his people were granted victory over their oppressors because Pharoah transgressed beyond the boundaries set forth by God. He was arrogant and caused mischief in the land, namely oppressing a group of their citizens. Victory is for the oppressed, the victimized, the ones made weak by others' domination over them thru arrogance. Migration of Moses and Muhammad had an aim of the second type. Here are some ayat to prove that it was because of oppression that they were given victory and a way out of their torture. And We made the children of Israel to pass through the sea, then Firon and his hosts followed them for oppression and tyranny; until when drowning overtook him, he said I believe that there is no god but He in Whom the children of Israel believe and I am of those who submit. And when We delivered you from Firon's people, who subjected you to severe torment, killing your sons and sparing your women, and in this there was a great trial from your Lord. But none believed in Musa except the offspring of his people, on account of the fear of Firon and their chiefs, lest he should persecute them; and most surely Firon was lofty in the land; and most surely he was of the extravagant. 14.6] And when Musa said to his people Call to mind Allah's favor to you when He delivered you from Firon's people, who subjected you to severe torment, and slew your sons and spared your women; and in this there was a great trial from your Lord. Surely Firon exalted himself in the land and made its people into parties, weakening one party from among them; he slaughtered their sons and let their women live; surely he was one of the mischiefmakers. And certainly We revealed to Musa, saying Travel by night with My servants, then make for them a dry path in the sea, not fearing to be overtaken, nor being afraid. In the case of type (1) it is of temporary nature. The migrated one always look for returning to his land. That's true, the children of israel wanted to turn back. Recall that you said, "O Moses, we can no longer tolerate one kind of food. Call upon your Lord to produce for us such earthly crops as beans, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions." He said, "Do you wish to substitute that which is inferior for that which is good? Go down to Egypt, where you can find what you asked for." They have incurred condemnation, humiliation, and disgrace, and brought upon themselves wrath from GOD. This is because they rejected GOD's revelations, and killed the prophets unjustly. This is because they disobeyed and transgressed. As we see here, the people wanted what they missed in Egypt, but that doesn't equate that this is God's Way. God's Way, as stated by Musa was to tread on and not be ungrateful for the escape that God gave them out of a land of oppression. I do not consider that America and Europe are enemies of Sunnis and Shias only and they are friends of ?true worshipers of God?. Every age has Pharaohs. I agree. They are not enemies of muslims. As for the U.S., the government doesn't seem to be doing too well on the issue of oppression these days. Peace all

Peace be upon you Open Mind, I'm sure there are a few who can answer this. I'm very curious. What does it really mean? I've heard people here say "my conscience is my guide," or even "i believe the conscience is the true God." Is this, in reality an absurd statement? Or is there more to it that I don't know? If anyone has any idea, please explain. My position requires you to sit in a quiet place, close your eyes and just WITNESS. Watch your thoughts and images come and go and you will realize that - 1) You are NOT your thoughts and images 2) You are not in control of selecting which thoughts and images come (even though you can take control of that). The "I" is not the body, not the emotions, not the thoughts, not the images, etc. All of these things are PERCIEVED by CONSCIOUSNESS, which ITSELF cannot be percieved, it belongs to the GHAYB/UNSEEN. I repeat, there is a part of your being that percieves but itself cannot be percieved, and that is what we shyould refer to when we say "I". As we go throough life, there is a prt of us that always changes (emotions, likes, dislikes, thoughts, beliefs, etc), and there is a part that NEVER CHANGES, that part is the SEER, CONSIOUCNESS. We are THAT which grasps thoughts, images and sensations. Just as with Energy, which is ONE and we all share in that energy (proven by breaking all atoms down to thier lowest level), CONSCIOUSNESS is ONE also, manifest through he different created vehicles giving it different expression. Just liek a pure light shining through different colored windows. When flowing through teh red window pane, other colors will be filtered out and therefore restrict it in regards to that vehicle. Lastly, it must be made clear that Consciousness is not a property of the "mind". You are not consious , you are CONSIOUSNESS ITSELF! ) The Mind is only a TOOL for consciousness. These are used in different meanings including in, at (like English at noon, in the mornings, at night, in the afternoon). In 2147, particle li is used to mean AT (the day of resurrection). Similarly, in 612, the particle ila has been used to mean AT (the day of resurrection).}" Are there any Muslims in this forum who believes that Allah authorized only 3 Salaat times have anything to say in regards to the quote up above from JM's link? Are the points in the quote fact? Is it really establishing 5 Salaat times in the Qur'aan or not? from that site iii, iv, v sound to me the exact same prayer I do agree however that 5 won't drain us. But why do more than what God ordered us to? I am extremely careful not to show up God, Remember above physical salat, the most important concept is the rememberance of God (though that is salat in a way), the more you remember God the less you evil you will go towards (which is one of the reasons for salat). Rememberance of God helps us in our daily lives, I do it almost all of the time and my life is much better because of that (only through His help). I can tell you from personal experience that physical or mental salat is the most beautiful thing i have ever expereinced. Every time, afterwards, I feel sooo peaceful. Like all the burdens have been lifted off my shoulder. So my point being I observe 3 PHYSCAL salats, but i am talking to God almost all the time.

The problem is that each time any sincere person wants to discuss matters relating to Quran, whether it be verses, divinity, historicity, internal or external relevancy, stories within, etc., someone just pops in with deviations and personal attacks which follows suit by others, thus the entire platform gets dislodged and poisoned. Peace I agree with the idea of Arabism in the mask of Islamization. The Arab/Islamic empire in my view, wasn't all that accepting and free-spirited as it is made out to be. I as one of Egyptian decent sometimes am appalled at how deeply the 'arab-islamic' empire raped my country - changing the language, defacing the sphinx, altering the culture in very deep ways. Peace to you Prashant_kumar, It seems to me that you've given up on free-minds? Please don't. Have an open mind. The beauty of this forum is that all are able to freely sound out the steps to their reasoning. You don't have to accept what anyone says on this forum! That's also another beautiful thing. With other forums, the admin's opinion is paramount and none can have any deviant thought after the almighty moderator has spoken. The idea of free thought really makes this website unique. It's great to look at other's perspectives and challenge their thoughts (respectfully of course) because that in turn challenges your own formulations! It really is a wonderful learning experience. Even all the posts and threads that you read that went against everything you believe in is good because it strengthens your faith even more! The key is to take everything with a grain of salt but also continue to evolve your own perspectives by challenging yourself... You're absolutely right, putting Western ideals up on a pedestal is just as bad as putting Eastern ideals up. It should be quranic ideals that we must strive for, whether they coincide with what feels right or not. We can't follow our desires. You raised some excellent points.
