Peace, Thanks Natu for explaining. We have out source of wisdom, as muslims in the Quran. We are not going to make authorities like the traditionalists made, this is just the same mistake, it would be foolish. But I agree on an indepth study of the text of the Quran to see what 'Solaa' really is, This part of Quranic study needs to be done, like other sections were done. If people aren't satisfied with the Quran's authority thats their issue and debate is always open. But I don't give that kind of authority to individuals around me, but if someone presents the arguement and I can verify it by checking for myself then I can't reject that arguement if I don't have a better one. I think it would be a better idea to try and follow the thread that has already been opened and see if you can contribute, this is because it's a well structured thread and alot have already participated, but if you want to discuss other aspects of 'solaa' by all means open another thread because this is a very diverse topic at the moment and I personally think it will always be. If humans only had one kind of solaa then life would be boring and we would be like robots. Peace Nural

Interesting discussion. The way I see it, 'submission' doesn't fit as a definition - submission to what? (Or am I wrong?, possibly the Quran might contain something like Islamillah). Peace, I think is the right definition, becuase the Quran descirbes how peace is attained, and that is through believing in one God, so techincally, even as translated aspeace, the word 'Islam' covers monotheism as well, becuase of the context it is used in.

For example, I am extremely confident most Muslims have not read al quran (in a language they understand!), thus most Muslims are actually classing themselves as such without even reading the book that their faith is based on! I couldn't agree more on this with you Wakas. That is 100% true. My parents and grandparents don't know a single word of Arabic, yet my grandmother makes such a big deal when the younger kids aren't reciting Quranic verses everyday. That too, if the kids say one word in a different accent or what not, she gets angry. That is how she has memorized the entire Book herself! Yet, she beilieves that girls who use makeup will have snakes biting their faces in their graves!!!

Salam albion, This should read "the law before me" , so wouldn't this imply that he is holding the Torah in his hands at the time. I am not sure whether that meaning is implied. I think when we translate it in english, we get that kind of meaning. In arabic, it may be referring to the Law which came before. Pls correct me if I m wrong. Regards, Truth.Seeker

Ok but can it be explained y tht comet came in tht particular position just as Moses was parting with his ppl? Again GOD had 2 intervene? Also how do u explain the special birth of Jesus naturalistically n the creation of the 1st man who GOD says He made with HIS HANDS. So what 100% verifiable FACTS do you have to show that creationism is rational while evolution is absurd? Its best to give a beggar or homeless person food or clothing than money, as many would spend it in a wrong manner. My cousin once came back from Turkey and told me how these poor kids would follow her around and ask for money, and knowing that they were involved with local gangsters that would just take the money from them, she gave the kids food instead.

Salam 'alaikum, Thank u for your reply. I had already that info, Bukhary 97/24, 10/129 and I suppose the first number is the Volume and the other the number of Hadith?? I download Sahih Bujari and Muslim quite a months ago and there is not volume number 97 because there're only 93 and when I look for 10/129 I read another hadith. Probably you know a webpage where I can read this Hadith from there, the chain of narrators and if it is sahih, daif, etc. Thanks for the articles, i've already read them although sometimes I don't agree. Peace Truth, Oh I see what you mean, maybe I was a little hasty in coming to that interpretation. It does make sense that all of mankind would have a leaning towards rejecting, thus, people would become one cluster of rejectors. Hmmm, but even right now there are a lot of rejectors who are materialistic and rich (just look at the C.E.O.'s of major corporations that have been involved in scandal), this doesn't mean everyone would follow them... Are you saying that if all the rejectors were granted silver houses, and an abundance of riches, everyone else would follow them into rejection and become one cluster so to speak? Is that what you think God means? Please clarify, I may be completely misunderstanding you. I look at this verse as implying that since all mankind is going to be one cluster (no boundaries between believers, and disbelievers, we'll all have to live together), then if all the rejectors were granted an abundance of riches they would make the believers do as they wish. I've extracted this interpretation from looking at the verses before it that talk about some people being in service to others. We have assigned their shares in this worldly life, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that they would take one another in service. The mercy from your Lord is far better than that which they amass. However, I completely agree that we should be careful what we wish for, because its easy to become caught up in the materialistic part of life, and lose sight of the more important, spiritual part. Peace, Apparently, crops circles are hard to effectively hoax, as 'authentic' circles have particular properties which we dont have the right technology to produce effectively ( certain energy fields are present in the circles, as well as the corm etc. itself gets cauterized) I'll The God willing post up anything if I can find out for sure. I've also seen footage of a UFO ( for want of a better word ) create a crop circle in broad daylight, footage which has been proven to be untampered etc, or been subject to Computer Generated Images. Whether or not UFO's are actually living things I'm not sure, but they apparently bear a behavioural resemblance to Ball Lightning ? I'm not entirely sure if the quran makes it clear or not that our planet is the only one populated with advanced life.

Salaam Saladin, Thanks for sharing these statistics to help put this terrible behaviour in perspective. Some years ago, I remember my brother telling me how this bakery located near him, would throw lots of bread and other products every night they closed, because they had to guarantee freshness! So, one night he went up to one of the workers and asked them why didn't they give it to poor/hungry people. The person replied that if they did, and it turned out someone got sick from it for any reason, they would get sued. So they preffered to throw it, then fight legal battles. This is just a small part of the grand scale of food wastage going on especially in the U.S. where most portions are 'super-sized'. I see it more because I come from a country that is stricken with hunger and poverty. But I also see that if I'm not careful, I can easily get sucked into this lifestyle of wastage. And He is the One Who initiated gardens, both trellised and untrellised, and palm trees, and plants, all with different taste; and olives and pomegranates, similar and not similar. Eat from its fruit when it blossoms and give its due on the day of harvest; and do not waste. He does not like the wasteful. 6141 And give the relative his due, and the poor, and the wayfarer; and do not waste excessively.
