peace all, M. Mehdi wrote although many try.. legislating 'morality' never works... Of course people make their own choices. This is obvious. The point is whether this is a crime or not, and thus whether it is punishable or not. God says that we should not kill the soul which he has created. The real question is at what stage (at conception, after 3 months, 6 months,...) do we consider a foetus a human being with all the rights given to human beings. If it has all the rights of a human being, then is killing it considered murder? If it is murder, then it should carry a punishment. How do we then apply the rules on murder as stipulated in the Quran in such a case? peace

But I still don't have to verse talking about accepting Islam rationally. Actually the verse truth gave, does indicate reasoning and rationality. I have this translation if it makes any difference; And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and mind, all these you are responsible for. Rational . adj. Having or exercising the ability to reason. Of sound mind; sane. These are some suggestions also 3918. The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence. And if the Quran is being studied, then listen to it and pay attention, that you may receive mercy. Mankind has been created from haste. I will show you My signs, so do not be in a rush. Peace

24 2. (As for) the fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them, (giving) a hundred stripes, and let not pity for them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of believers witness their chastisement. Rape must be some kind of fornication or fahsha.

Peace Asdfjk, You stated, I'd just add the notion that hearing, seeing and reason are things a disbeliever can deny...However the other sensual senses (touch, taste, smell) are not subject to the same level of inner policing Excellent points, bro. I'm understanding the touch, taste, and smell senses to be almost involuntary. Its a broad distinction and one could think up examples where this wouldn't hold true.... but generally speaking I think it does. I'm at a loss for an example to the contrary. I know that all of our senses have a certain threshold, where the brain does not continue to process information it recognizes as old information. For instance, one may not realize the smell of his own home, but a stranger walking in will definitely smell something different than he's used to, and he'll make a mental note of it. This occurs with all of our senses, sadly, even reason. Peace, Tay

Peace all Poor man, he's living a lie. I know his site is very unpleasant and offensive. But this little bit of biographical information really sets it in some kind of context. I feel pity for him and hope one day he can be honest in his views. The result of his honesty might be a moderation of the venom in his tongue, insahllah. peace asdfjk

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim Instead of it you better to only feel sad for YOUR lack of compassion and cooperation towards/with others. And if you want to know more about the Imam al-Mahdi you can visit http//www.taliyah.org We worship Allah alone.

Peace, Here's my thought on this topic Why bother wasting your time over some school girl who obviously does not give a damn about you??? Instead of wasting time figuring out what you've done "wrong", try to study those hours, remember God, help your parents, do something helpful for your community, donate blood, shovel the snow off an old lady's driveway, feed a poor bird that's been searching for bird seeds in your yard...there are so many things you can do instead to please God and that is exactly the reason we are here...not to worry as to why some oblivious girl is ignoring you. I sound so old don't I? Let's get a life

Salaam, I think the problem is that too many people who call themselves Muslims follow more of the Bible than they do the Quran. Many hadiths actually derive from the Old Testament. Nowhere in the Quran does God tell men to grow long beards, but it is required in the Old Testament. They do not realise what they are doing. And if you try to tell them...then oh you're in big trouble. Two examples are Leviticus 1927 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. Leviticus 215 They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

Peace Notts I don't think the shooting was setup but 2Pac survived that shooting and hence going into hide out straight after that. He would want his mom Afeni Shakur to promote his music in positive light which it is now and hence making his mom sue Suge Knight for the material. If the shooting was a set up then I don't see how do you link it to Pac planning the shooting via "Ain't hard to find" ? Personally, I can't picture Pac still or quiet for more than two minutes let alone 7 years. shock True but that is his old stuff you mentioned. His later stuff after Me Against The World he did get political and told stories about himself and his plans. I believe no matter what story Pac was telling there was at least a slab of himself in there, how else could he tell it so insightfully? In regards to politics, Pac was political before he was a rapper and even in his early era was political (eg Words of Wisdom). Funny though, I am trying to recall 95, 96 era Pac tracks where he talks about himself in the third person and can't. ( Especially his political plans, just hear the Makaveli 7 Day Theory CD its weird and prophetic. I love that CD man!!!! Krazy, Hold Ya Head, White Manz World, To Live and Die in LA, Blashpemy.. man, these are all classics that I never get tired from. It's strange that the only witness who was 2Pac's cousin named alias Kadafi real name Yafeu Fula got shot in the head by accident by Napoleans cousin. If I recall correctly, Cathy Scott said that Kadafi was the only witness willing to testify to police but Edi in an interview said that this wasn't true and then apperantly Cathy said the Outlawz are just covering up for Kadafi and a long game of telephone is born. I don't think Kadafi would testify however that is just my conjecture. Same thing happened with Biggie's murder case about the police not caring to solve his murder and Biggie's mom is suing the police for that and yet Afeni Shakur is not doing that in case of 2Pac's murder Really, I never really looked into that. Afeni IMO is mishandling Pac's legacy (eg Loyal to the game Editing pacs words (). That's a brilliant album especially the track SO MANY TEARS and the chilled out track IT AIN'T EASY! I second that! "Outlaw.. Outlaw ... Outlaw , Dear God I wonda could ya save me!" pz

Peace Greenleaves I started the same thing on my computer as you are sometime ago. However, I find it hard to concentrate on the computer so I have been doing one in my paperback copy of this reading for over a year now. If you want I could email you the .doc file (that I started sometime ago) of what I have so far to help give you an idea of what you might want to look for. pz

Peace all I do not believe it matters what book one quotes from, all truth is from the same source (God). However, I do not think one should quote other readings when saying this reading (quran) says this or that. pz

Peace Sabo, Although the older text can be read and the letters worked out methodolically (with great time consumption and difficulty), your argument on the oral transmission is valid when dealing with the recitation methods/vowels for the written text... However, when you have a variation in the text (such as an extra letter "waw") then this argument is no longer holds water as the recitation does not deal with additions or deletions to that text (only pronounciation).
