Peace, Is it possible that this too could be the work of the Islamic Oxchallenge Brigades?? Could very well be. They shouldn't get away with this...do they have a website? I've noticed that Muslim WakeUp, Free-Minds.Org and Moslem.org have all been hacked and defaced all in the same week. And they may be other cases that we don't know about. Really, Moslem.org too? By the way, thanks for giving me the link to moslem.org...I was searching for more God-Alone sites...hopefull I'll find a new community there as well

Peace be upon you Dell, I did'nt have time to read your whole post...perhaps some other time So how can you respond when you haven't read and understood the entire message? , but for this one, here's an answer. Quote do you think that the God gave you this story to point out Solomons mistake May be that was one point of God. God says God does not love the agressors and Solomon wanting to sacrifice/kill the bird just because it was late was a sign of aggression. God says do you force people to believe? Solomon forcing the Queen was such a sign. God says people pre-occupied with worldy gains are not loved by God. Solomon asking God for an army/kingdom never attained by anyone else was such a sign. I am not saying Solomon was bad mad, just pointing out that God wants us to know even messengers sin and God forgives many sins.....all this given as an example to learn! Perhaps to tell us that even if you are an agressor, so long as you have other good qualities in you, God doesn't dislike you. So let me recap, you are saying that part of this story deals with Solomon being aggressive? How then was he successful? And if the lesson is that you can be aggressive and still succeed, what is the lesson? Please answer the first post that you did not read before answering this one, please. Quote do you think that the God gave you this story to point out Solomons mistake Why not? If there's a chapter (He Frowned) in the Quran pointing to us Muhammed's mistakes? If there are verses pointing to us Abraham's mistakes (asking God to forgive his idol worhsipping father), Chapter explaining Joanh abandoning God's mission, then why can't God use Solomon to explain to us, I forgive all sins and even my messengers might have some qualities in them that are disliked by me, yet I still forgive them I did not say that the God does not point out mistakes, anyone who has been here for a long time knows I know the mistakes that the God points out. I asked you did you think the God gave you THIS story, Solomon's, to point out a mistake? Especially when the other examples you gave say CLEARLY what the mistake was, while this story is not consistent with that rule. Please tell me.

Peace be upon you, "Afterlife Most humans believe that some form of reincarnation or immortality awaits them after death. Humans have no credible evidence of reincarnation or any kind of afterlife." Why don't we have any evidence? We are living right now. We have seen babies born from what seems like no where, where did they come from?(work that equation out to the beginning) Our cells that we have in our bodies now, which are what we are made of, are not the same cells we had when we were born, yet we are still "me", how is that? Forests "die" and "ressurect" every year. I would say we have much evidence, the greatest being that we are created-beings. It is not hard to understand that if we are created beings, meaning that an intelligence MUST come before something so perfectly ordered, that the same Creator can do the same again. "Faith Faith is belief based on revelation and exempt from doubt. Skepticism involves zero faith because it holds not even a single belief that is based on revelation and exempt from doubt. Skepticism holds that truth is not simply revealed but instead must always be subject to doubt, demonstration, and rederivation. This belief about truth is itself neither revealed nor exempt from doubt, but is instead subject to continual test." Not quite sure I understand this part. Does anyone else understand it so that they can elaborate on it? It seems like its being said that one cannot be skeptic of something that sounds faulty just because it is stated to have been revealed. I will wait to see if anyone can clarify that second part for me.

007.167 Behold! thy Lord did declare that He would send against the socalled muslims, to the Day of Judgment, those enemies of islam who would afflict them with grievous penalty. Thy Lord is quick in retribution, but He is also Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Greetings with peace, Another funny observation, when you refer to yourself, you usually point to your chest, not your head, heh. If you didn't know, some Japanese people point to their nose to refer to themselves. Now is their "soul" in their nose? Anwar Azim

Peace all, I think that apart from the great error of trying to prophesise future events the research is found wanting in some respects. The key reason is in the assumption that the number "44" relates to the number of the US president in office. George W. Bush is the 42nd or the 43rd president depending on how you count. Many presidents have had more than one 4 year term but all except one have been contiguous terms eg. Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton who have each had two terms in succession. The exception is Grover Cleveland who had two terms. The first from 1885 - 89 and the next term from 1893 - 97. Thus when one counts the actual number of individual men who have served as president of the US - there are 42 not 43. George W. Bush is the 42nd man to serve as the president. However when one counts in terms of number of separate continuous TERMS in presidency then George W. Bush occupies the 43rd such TERM. The count of men is 42, the count of continuous terms is 43. Count them yourself http//www.whitehouse.gov/history/presidents/index2.html Thus, which source outside the Quran is one following when one attempts to clarify this issue? Forgive the pun - but this seems to be a prophesy of smoke and mirrors. Best wishes.

Peace Riz Samawatin is used for sky as far as I understand. Sky and and universe. Heavens as in universe/space/sky. Thank you for the clarification. Afterlife heaven is janaa/janaatin, meaning garden(s). As Idolfree1 pointed out in the birth of Isa, the garden is not confined to the afterlife, Mary attained this garden after giving birth to Isa. And plus, I don't see why there would be levels of heaven. I can understand levels in hell, but not for heaven. Unless someone could point out a verse in the Quran that says there are layers in heaven, I don't think or believe heaven is seperated in such a manner. I understand that drop by drop seeds are eventually nurtured into trees, but the accumulation of all the drops at one instance would drown it instantly, that is to say it would bear more than it could burden. Everything around us grows in stages and not all at once. Reflect on these verses. He is the One who shows you His signs, and He sends down to you provisions from the sky. But none care to remember except those who repent. Therefore, call on God while being pure to His system, even if the rejecters dislike it. Possessor of the highest ranks, the owner of the Throne. He sends the Angels with His command upon whom He wills from among His servants, that he may warn of the Day of Summoning. (4013-15) These are the true believers; they will have grades with their Lord and a forgiveness and a generous provision. (84) Such messengers, We have preferred some over others; some of them talked to God, and He raised some of them in rank (2253) And He is the One who made you inheritors on earth, and He raised some of you over others in grades, to test you with what He had given you. Your Lord is quick to punishment, and He is Forgiving, Merciful. (6165) And recall in the Scripture Enoch; he was a man of truth, a prophet. And We raised him to a high place. 1957,5 And he who comes to Him as a believer doing good works, for those will be the highest ranks. (2075) This is just some brainstorming, but perhaps the first level of heaven is surrendering and the seventh level is being a believer and doing good work? The Nomads said "We believe." Say "You have not believed, but you should say 'We have surrendered', for belief has not yet entered into your hearts." If you obey God and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. God is Forgiver, Merciful. pz

Peace be upon you Elena, Since soul is not physical, why to try to assing physical notions to it? Only reason would be to understand how this abstract concept is to be applied. The word "nafs" is feminine, so I think that speaks for itself Not GENDER, but feminine as a principle of "being in a state of receptivity", as the MIND is. The MIND is like a garden that recieves seed, or the woman that recieves seed, or MARIAM...

Peace be upon you Sha, Peace idolfree What wrong ideas are you referring to? The term "islamic" currency, how can currency 'peacefully submit'? To describe currency as "islamic" is not HOLISTIC thinking. We are not being taught a "religion" for a select group of people under the title "MUSLIM", we arebeing taught the system for HUMANITY. And I don't think you should make fun of anyones religion. Humility? Compassion? Tolerance? I am here on this list because I have faith in the message of this reading(quran). There is no such thing as "religion". I only intended to show the incorrectness of the term "islamic currency" with light humor. No disrespect was intended to the money in your pocket, please apologize to any of your dollar bills that might have been offended. (Smile, it was more humor)

Peace be upon you, 262 is telling us don't get caught up in TITLES, it is about your ACTIONS. If you make a partner to the One God, then yo are not thinking HOLISTICALLY, you do not see the WHOLE picture so you actions are fragmented. For example, when you don't think HOLISTICLLY, you seperate "religion" from Psychology, science from "religion", philosophy from Psychology, etc. Or you will say "God bless America" yet forget about your brothers and sisters everywhere else. When you are a TRUE monotheist, you realize that ALL is ONE. We are ALL interconnected with nature and each other. When you allow another to starve it is like letting your own self starve or your own child, that is how we should see things. I am getting off topic, Yes, 262 is teling us not to fall into the trap of TITLES. But many of us are stuck in TITLES, therefore we are unable to see what the words "Allah", "Quran", "Muhammad", "Ahmad", etc really imply. Many want to form another sect as the ones in the past instead of seeing the TRUTH as being HOLISTIC.

As'Salaam Alaikum All, I would like to add a few points if I may. Al-Qur'an, Al-Ikhlas Qul huwa Allhu aad(un) Say He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah is the only "reality", any concept of a "being" separate or outside the Oneness of Allah is an "illusion" Allhu a(l)amad(u) Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; Allah is... as Allah always was... everything in creation exists within Allah, as the Eternal, Absolute... nothing can exist "outside of Allah. Lam yalid walam yoolad(u) He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; Allah begets not, creation does not exist separate from Hu, it is manifested existents ("appearances") of Allah, outside of Allah's being they do not exist. Walam yakun lahu kufuwan aad(un) And there is none like unto Him. Our knowledge, wisdom, understanding (whatever you choose to identify it as) is a result of removing the veil(covering) of a separate self and returning to the Oneness of Allah, for there is nothing to worship... there is only Allah. "In Hu we live and have our being". To abandon the world, which is no less an appearance of Allah then we are, is to lose sight of the "reality" of Allah's Oneness. We are here for a purpose... to learn how to transcend our attachments to the many "appearances" or individuated expressions of Allah and return to Hu's Oneness. That is why the Qur'an warns us not to become preoccupied with the things of the world... they are/we are ALL illusions (that includes our intellects). It is our "false sense" of self that must be abandoned. Al-Qur'an, Adh-Dhariyat 5120,21 Wafee al-ari ytun lilmooqineen(a) On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, Wafee anfusikum afal tubiroon(a) As also in your own selves Will ye not then see? This is my humble understanding. Ma'Salaam, Olu'sanya
