The quran says we must follow what Allah says. And Allah says we must follow the prophet. The Quran says Follow Allah and follow rasuls; Allah says follow Me and my rasuls; Why you go after men now, while Allah is still alive?

.. tell them that coverning the head isnt necessary .. they say that its written in the quran ... dont understnad people .. Ask them where they see the word head in English in sura 24.31 or if they find the word head in Arabic in that same verse. Why do people make lies and say something is in Quran when it is clearly not written, then make silly explanations for it? The latest I've heard is, "Well, it's implied that it means to cover the head." roll Sorry for getting off the subject a bit but that thought just came to mind.

Its funny how the writings of Paul contradicts the Gospels. Just like how hadith contradicts the Quran.

Salam Sword, welcome! although convincing others about these principles in our countries (especially the Arab ones) can be very difficult. In my original country, Egypt, there are relatively many who don't believe in hadith, they can't talk in public nor do they have access to internet and forums. Allah. Your post are enlightening! It never fails to amaze me that the first thing Allah talks about to 'those who believe' is about directly experiecing His signs (2/104-106). In order to attain imaan/conviction, there's no substitute for this! KyleI am finding that all of these "religions" are saying something very similar (probably exactly the same once all the corruptions are removed). Agreed. That's why we need Al-Quraan, for accurate info.

Salam brother Zlatan, I think that you have a very good point. I do have some issues regarding that 1- The Ayat that talk about "Wali" talk about friends and allies. So should we worry about people that we don't know and we have not even talked to? Should we judge them from afar and generalize about them? 2- The issues regarding the Sunnis/shiites/whoever, are very complex. They believe in the one GOD. They believe in the Qur'an and therefore the boundary is very vague. In addition, their degree of accepting hadith differs from one person to another. 3- For differences in theological issues I would refer to this Ayah Waqalati alyahoodu laysati alnnasaraAAala shay-in waqalati alnnasaralaysati alyahoodu AAala shay-in wahum yatloona alkitabakathalika qala allatheena layaAAlamoona mithla qawlihim faAllahu yahkumubaynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehiyakhtalifoona The Jews say "The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say "The Jews have naught (To stand) upon." Peace be upon you, It is not the sisters who reject..it is the perants of the Sister's who reject it due to the topic at hand. Now look i know im not a Hadith follower and my friend's are. But i believe that more and more converts are leaving Islam due to this... all Muslims say it. This is wrong...this is one way we can try and remove from there thick heads that Hadiths are not to be a source of religious teachings. Then maybe i will get some sort of progress by doing this. Peace I was thinking for a quite long time now that birds(including chicken) and even fish and other see/river food doesnt belong to the category of 5/3 but only quadrupeds or even only domestic quadrupeds... but i am not sure..just some thoughts...what mz says about killing of the prey also seems logical and that was the understanding that i was upon from the very begginings of my reading the scripture...could it be that i was wrong? best wishes

Peace be upon you, It was only a matter of time before falsehood revealed itself. The "truth" is very logical, not illogical. Regarding "hologram universe", indeed ALL THINGS are part of the WHOLE, everything is interconnected. I suggest reading the books "Metu Neter" Volumes 1 & 2. They outline the "behavior science" (religion/psychology/philosophy) of the ancients of Kemet(Egypt). It is referred to as "Knowledge of Self". It talks about the very same things. Also, Harun Yayha (a sunni) has some very good articles and films, one film in particular is called "the secret beyond matter" and can be found on his site. It is a MUST SEE if you are interested in deeper understandings that these SYMBOLISMS in the reading(quran) and many other stories in the past point us to. The "holographic universe" is really WITHIN US because we can NEVER REACH the material world to verify it! What we say that we "see, taste, touch , feel, and smell" are only impulses to our brain, we can nver get BEYOND our senses to verify if this material reality exsists. Peace be upon you all, I agree with Grourself and the Doctor. "Prayer" is a made up concept. The God does not change the condition of people until they change what is in thier minds(nafs). They have to change thier perceptions and the God's guidance will be seen once again.

Peace be upon you everyone, I don't think the Quran is backwards. I studied cultural & human anthropology for about two years. During the course of my study, I found that in South America, there is a tribe called the Yanomami who have some very unique beliefs and culture. For example, all the men and women in this tribe currently live in a jungle that the South American government is trying to take away from them in order to set businesses. I watched them on videos and these people are naked from head to toe (both men and women), they are very high on drugs, prostitution is very common, frequent wars take place and whenever they do men get killed brutally and children at a very young age just reproduce. While watching the video, the commentator tells the students that we should not consider these people as "backwards" because they contribute to the society their own way. I had a hard time understanding how exactly. In America, we catch and put behind bars those who do drugs; here, however, we are saying its a-okay for them to do drugs. We don't allow prostitution (though it takes place); here however, we are calling it a "cultural thing". These people don't even have the shame to cover themselves and they are worshipping idols. In addition, the Yanomai are completly oblivious of the world around them. They don't give a damn as to what's happening and they don't want to be disturbed by the S.American government while doing drugs. None of them are educated, none of them have stepped out of their tribal boundries in their lifetime. Yet, this is just one culture/religion. In India, there are many religious practices, that when studied I couldn't believe existed! Despite all this, people look at Islam and say Muslims they are backwards. I completly agree that there are several practices going around in the Sunni/Shiite world that are not only unfair but unethical too; however, compared to these Yanomami, I am not sure where the Muslim world crosses the line into backwardness whereas these people cross the line into a culture. Beats me.
