Thank you for your analysis. I think we agree on many aspects of this verse. There is only one aspect I can clarify. When reading the Quran, I feel it is important to understand the meaning of the context. By this, I don't want to understand if there were 3 or 5 or 7 or more people in the Cave (for example), but I want to understand why they were in the cave. I think the Quran refers to this as internal and external meanings. Thus, in the case of the verses above, I would like to understand if Solomon lost his way - more than just forgetting Salat or Dhikr at dusk. This is in relation to the verse that tells us that his throne had an empty body put on it. When I try and understand if Solomon lost his way, it makes me think of examples of people around me who begin to love the excesses of joy that come with the reality of this lower life and forget about spirituality and the hereafter. I hope you are doing good. It was almost like I was worshipping the quran, because i expected it to give me all the solutions and all the answers. Guess what? That thing was inserted into my head by the sectarians in the beginning with their so called combat kit. They'll keep asking you for "details" they get from their iHadith 2G, 3G, 4G and beyond (not sure how many times they edited it). But then something came in my head. Notice the US constitution. It is infused with many of the central Quranic laws. Whatever policy is made in the country must abide by those or they risk getting shredded. This is how it is all supposed to be for us. You can follow anything as long as it is in line with Quran. God doesn't seem to approve irrational, traditional, oppressive laws. Fact the idea that hadith details Islam is stolen from Talmud being the details of how to live as a Jewish person.

That would mean turning it into a show, behave unnaturally, even on the edge of hypocrisy. That should be no ones job. Basically I agree, there is so much information, easy to find. But I think there is a human factor, small however, not absolutely 100 % just about having got the correct message. Talking about looking at others for righteousness, I actually used to ignore the call when I heard it - It was God who inspired me to read the Quran - completely on my own - and it was due to me trying to work out why Muslims kill people (media brainwashing) - there was nothing in the Quran about this at all though. So rather than coming to Islam because I thought I saw someone behave righteously, I actually came because I saw they behave badly - like terrorists (and I should thank the Islamophobic media a lot for brainwashing me into generalizing a group of people). The bad stuff was all to do with Western colonialism/invasions and a reaction to it (& a lack of any real leadership by so-called Muslims) and due to some ridiculously crazy Hadithist interpretations. Indeed, I found almost no one anywhere mentioning this. Some preachers seem to have something like a fanclub, are proud of how many e-mails they get and how many people they convert to islam. How disgusting. And it is also a mental health topic (narcissism). Like the Quran describes it people who want to be seen. I agree. There is no such thing as proselytizing. God guides whom He wills.

I have been doing research specifically on when the sun rises in the part of the UK where I live. Lets assume this is Glasgow for the sake of argument (a city and a people I like a lot). So I did some internet searches to find out when the sun rises in Glasgow. I discovered the concept of COMPLETE DARKNESS (when the sun has set) and the stars are apparent - through the darkness of the night - all the way through to when the sun rises. Before the sun rises is Dawn - when the Fajr Salat starts I think! I learnt that whilst for me the sun just rises and sets, there are phases for the astronomers - these phases for SUNRISE vary from when the sun is below the horizon (DARKNESS) to when it is above the horizon (SUNRISE). Inbetween these stages one still begins to see light due to refraction we get COMPLETE DARKNESS (No Sunlight visible at all) we get ASTRONOMICAL DAWN when the sun goes above 18 degrees below the horizon (Sunlight visible) we get NAUTICAL DAWN when the sun goes above 12 degrees below the horizon (Sunlight Visible) we get CIVIL DAWN when the sun goes above 6 degrees below the horizon (Sunlight Visible) we get SUNRISE (SUN visible) So from an astronomical perspective the earliest dawn before sunrise occurs with Astronomical Dawn. (https//www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/astronomical-twilight.html) Now starts the work in relation to the Quran - I will have to work out the translations to determine the differences between the DARK OF NIGHT in relation to DAWN and SUNRISE to determine the time of Fajr Salat - and then also Isha Salat. Over Summer in my part of the UK the sun always gives SUNLIGHT (it is always ASTRONOMICAL DAWN). In relation to fasting - I have done this for the last decade and it is actually just starting to get easy again slowly. However as fasting occurs over the summer period, it leaves very little time between breaking the fast and starting the fast and very little time to sleep. The problem is that when one has a full-time occupation one cannot afford to sleep for only 3 or 4 hours a night. Salam ed

It's all over the second chapter...... hmm Hmmm... if anything, reading the second chapter(without the shackles of sunni interpretation or the opinions of an imam) only strengthens my belief that the 'qiblah' is not physical and has nothing to do with 'salaat'. My current understanding of the quran tells me that there was a physical 'qiblah' at some point in time but it was then abandoned and that the new 'qiblah' is simply a 'way of life', basically what you can and cannot do, I believe it should be "faced" at all times, what further proves this to me is when god says that wherever we are we must face it, no mention of only doing it during 'salaat' is made, he didn't even link the 'qiblah' to the 'salaat' at all, unless I am missing something? confused Peace brother! Dirty obsessions. What is funnyis that for some muslims, obsesseions seem to be a duty, not a burden. If you are a tru Muslim youmust be obssessed by sex, that is if you are a male. If you are a female you must be obssessed by male obssessions. That reminds me of the Lut ayas, was it really meant by Lut to oint to sex, the gender segregation or was it meant in general, and he was disaraging the gender segregtion of the debouchering males of his people? which by the way certain Muslims copy religiously. Thread If we are to judge a section of humanity by what the worst amongst them do, then every human "race", culture or group would be evil. The fact that media has a particular focus in tarnishing a certain group is very telling and rather racist - even if I dont believe or agree with the actual concept of "race" or culture. Your remark We apparently live in the day of "Fake News" - ie news that can mislead anyone. However, the way I see it is that we have been fed "Fake News" always. News doesn't really exist. It is invented as is its spin and interpretation. Up till know this has been done by government approved/tolerated agencies. Now, in the age of Free Information, it is used by any Tom/Dick and Harry. Its almost as my Fake News is someone else's real news. Bad things are ordained to happen every second and every day, yet their meaning can be more complex than initially thought and when certain "journalists" focus on one kind of news it seems like they are the ones inventing fake news. Is there any instance where he is mentioned in singular, as a person? What about havva? As I recall there are no mention of her. What about successor? If adam specie is a successor then who was before? Other humans? Also, do you think this has to do with evolution? I don't speak arabic. By this I meant that adam is spoken of in the singular, but that saying "adam" is like saying "man". It is spoken of in the singular, but it refers to the species. No, no Hawa in Qur'an, no distinction between sexes in qur'an as the apearance of the species is described. It is said, adam and his mate, man and his mate. NO not at all I'm not saying that. I'm just saying while the Book didn't forbid slavery (but discouraged it highly and told us to be good) but definately didn't allow free sex unlike these sectarians claim The book forbids every oppression, including slavery. Sex with slaves is just a crime on crime.

In your speculation, why do you think Allah allowed the sects & hadith to exist? 292 -3 Did the people think that they will be left to say "We believe" without being put to the test? We had tested those before them, so that God would distinguish those who are truthful and so that He would know the liars. peace.
