To my knowledge, the flat earth is not a dream, but reality. One step wiser and you'll realize neither things is the Reality but merely creations of Allah in whatever way they exist. It is not "wishy washy" that Allah creates and decides whatever Allah wants freely, as Allah is not bound by anything, not even time, time has no existence its just a concept created by God. God demonstrated this, and it was not "wishy washy" but to show when God performed the miracle of "staff snake staff". That is why it is unimportant if the Earth is flat or round or triangular, one should focus on the Ultimate and terrible power of Allah, and believe nothing else as Reality or Truth, because it is all transitory, and Allah can make it this way or that way, staff, snake, staff.

Misunderstanding on my part. However, we are told in Quran all our practices are for God. Does God authorize we recite chapters in our prayers? This would contradict when God also says we should only worship God alone...reciting chapters during prayers will add other names, such as prophets Moses or Muhammed, or even shaytan. Whenever you are praying, and whatever you are saying, it really is from God, good or bad (in my view, that doesn't mean it is necessarily good for you, but that if a person thinks of a certain prayer it is from God, just like it was for the good people in the past, but if they think and do evil that too is God who wishes for them trouble perhaps or that they go astray). The problem among mainstream Muslims is that they hypersexualize actions or things that have no intentions to be sexual like opposite gender shaking hands. The period between death and resurrection passes like one night of sleep (2259; 660; 1045; 1621; 1811, 1819, 1825; 3055). At the moment of death, everyone knows his or her destiny; Heaven or Hell. For the disbelievers, death is a horrible event; the angels snatch away their souls (850, 4727, 791). Consistently, the Qoran talks about two deaths, the first death took place when we failed to make a stand with God's absolute authority. That first death lasted until we were born into this world. The second death terminates our life in this world (228, 2266, 4011). However,the Righteous Do Not Really Die. The people at Yahoo Answers weren't very informed. In any case, when we say 6 months night and 6 months day, it gives the wrong impression in at least two different ways. First it sounds like you have no daylight at all for six months (like a dark starry night), and then normal daylight for six months. This is not the case. Even when the sun doesn't rise above the horizon for weeks during winter, there is still the light of dawn/dusk. Secondly, it sounds like there would be a drastic shift between night and day after every six months. Obviously this is not the case. The light doesn't suddenly switch off from summer to winter. There is naturally a gradual increase or decrease over the year of the amount of hour of sun above vs below the horizon. Also, despite that the sun doesn't set for some time during the summer, and doesn't rise above the horizon during winters, one can still observe the cyclic shifts of night and day. During summers, the sun oscillates on the sky, and during winters the light of the sky comes and goes. So the means for keeping track of days are still there. BTW it is good to leave religion entirely & then only you will understand our Lord, our Creator, Allah. This has been a slow and painful test for me, but I managed. I started as a Sunni, then became a Shia, then a Quranist, then a Sufi and now no religion at all.
