I agree Sunni denominations are influenced by Wahhabism nowadays. I wonder how did your family adopt Wahhabism teachings in U.S. My family member who lives in the West used to be non practicing Muslim until she start practing mainstream Sunni Islam. I'm aware that conservative Muslim communities are common in the West but I thought Wahabbism followers are very rare. I have a question, how did your familt started following Wahabbism teachings in U.S.? Do they live in community with people who are similar to them? Just wondering. I am not so sure too, but one of our relative followed such believes from Pakistani madrasas. No one used to really take him seriously here or followed this strict covering even though many of us did believe abaya and niqaab were actually the true modest dressing for women from what we had heard from him and others. But then my another relative also started and followed his way there in Pakistan few years ago. Many of my relatives went to Pakistan last year for vocation and since then they have been taking such believes seriously here. It started one by one, and now that many are also joining Aalimi course, I am not sure what else they will be taught from these islamic schools. The Madrasas in U.S are also influenced by Wahabi because they also have books in Urdu. If the books are in Urdu, that means they are from Pakistan and influenced by Wahabi as the same books and teachings in Pakistan madrasas are funded by Saudi Wahabi ideologies from what I have researched into it. People need to learn Urdu in order to understand arabic and to understand the rest of Aalimi course here. It is just the majority of Muslims in U.S don't follow all of their teachings as they are ignorant of their sect teachings and they don't take the scholars very seriously. Many here don't even know they belong to Sunni, or a sect, or what is even Sunnism. So, I guess that's why it may seem Wahabism is rare here.

Mike, what do you mean you are a new muslim? you mean you converted? or your beliefs suddenly changed? I was born into a Sunni family and practised Sunnism all my life until a month ago. All my family is Sunni except my wife who also became a true monotheist along with me. I questioned every aspect of my beliefs and a lot of it did not make sense. Specially the part that Muhammad did not know the future according to Quran. But, he has so many prophecies regarding Dajjal, Jesus, Mahdi etc in the hadiths.

Interestingly, there are a few pointers that suggest that people of Aad were Albanians. Even today you can find that name among my people. There's also Ad-Mir - meaning Good - Aad, which presupposes that Aad was bad. Anyhow, thank God for everything. Peace, R.

Allah = All Law , the law of the universe, and the Law we supposed to use as a constitution. Hi. People often make the mistake of mixing up languages and etymologies. The English language words "All" and "Law" do not have anything to do with Semitic language term pronounced "Uhlluh" from the root 'lh, the ' representing a glottal stop or "uh" sound. You aren't too far away though perhaps, since Allah is "like nothing" as in not made of any information, but the maker of all information. Atheism is in a sense the first aspect of the Shahada "I bear witness there is/are no Gods/Powers/Things worthy of worship" other than the Ultimate, which is Allah. You must eschew all idolatry, false concepts, things made of information, to realize the statement "SubhanAllah" that void is Allah, like none of those things, free from all those false concepts and associations. The term Uhlluh, linguistically has nothing to do with the English language words "All" and "Law" which come from an entirely different language family. In Arabic, the words "All" and "Law" are different and are not "Uhlluh" which refers to the Ultimate. What if the hadiths are all okay , but simply mistranslated - as was the quran??? wouldn't we all look stupid? Nope, Allah already said a lot against them in several Quranic verses.

It's interesting to read about these prophecies or other Abrahamic religions' prophecies, but they can be dangerous as well. Whenever I search about nwo, I also get these prophecies about mesiah, christ coming, anti-christ, imam mahdi, etc.

Quran is for perception and rehearsal; and then to re-cite the Signs of it that we each appreciated in our applied life in truth to the people of the world. Allah alone can teach us what He intends by each and every ayat to each and every individual at any point of time all through our lives. Never shall we resort to the man invented physical dictionary sort of meanings and render Quran null for the unknown morrow.

The guy who asked the questions is very much aware of the problems that exist in hadith books. Yet he is not ready to do critical thinking. That is why, he feels he has caught Quranists by the collar with his questions. As I said earlier, explanation of Abu Lahab found in hadith books is a lie. Allah has no reason to change a kafir's name. He is the creator. He created Satan and he is very much aware of Baal. He showed no hesitation when he mentioned their names despite knowing that both of them have a thing for human/child sacrifice. I dont think Mr Abu Lahab was worse than them. Also, according to the Surah, his hands were to be perished. But one hadith say that even before death, he was beating people. And he died from head fracture. Then another hadith says he died of natural illness (depression and ulcer combined) and that is also because he couldnt take the Muslims' victory. The writer of these questions has made a fundamental mistake. He assumes that Quranists are wrong in their denial of the Hadiths because the Holy Quran itself refers to outside events and people. That is like saying that modern medicine, iphones and other technological advancements are wrong because we have books that clearly say the Earth was flat or that people were content with Kodak cameras once upon a time! lol, you sum up the man's brain quite nicely. Nothing more to say. But before anyone feeds him the answers, he must ponder upon the huge number of verses that speak against hadith books.

It got me thinking. When we are in grief, we are automatically fasting. Its natural is not it? But of course I dont think fasting a whole month is written on our instinct. Yes. And when we repent for something bad that we did we are also in grief. If you have not done something bad and in problem then you can clearly show you feel bad about something and then you fast and you call upon the Rabb. Have faith

Peace huruf, Exactly, my point is what I already said 10 days are enough (a few number of days, 10 fingers, 10 commandments). In the winter solstice. Starting from the first new moon after the solstice. The prescription how to fast is in Koran. Let go food and drink and sex from the dawn when the day is distinct from the night and complete the fast till night. Easy ) My point about few hours is that there is no need to fast 30 days in the summer by 16 hours per day. It is too much for the body and it does not follow the scriptures. Peace, R. Proposition a. Sharia is God's Law b. God is All Powerful and in control of everything. c. We must strive for the enforcement of Sharia's Law, even if it cost us our lives (suicidal) By substituting (a) into (c) we get d. We must strive for the enforcement of God's law, even if it cost us our lives (suicidal) Which implies e. If we don't strive for the enforcement of God's law, God's law will not be enforceable.. Which further implies f. God is not All Powerful and in control of everything, because he need human help to enforce His law. Thus raises question of g. If Sharia is truly God's law, why we need to strive for it's enforcement????? Shouldn't God's law be automatically enforced? The above is only but fallacies , Words play , twisting the meanings and more. What he is refering to is physical "Law " so Do not mix physical "Law" with Shari'ah ( social "law&quot The "Shari'ah" as it is evident from the Qur'aan has been seted up and sent by Alaah and every community has free Will to establish it or not , the community choice to establish or not the Shari'ah Will In no way affect Alaah Being All powerfull simply because Alaah do not force anyone To establish it , as it is a test to them , if he force it's application there will be no longer a free choice . In the contrary the physical law has been seted up and preserved by Alaah for all beings ( Taskhyir ) it does not need to be enforced by humains as it is already enforced controled and preserved .

Are all of God's laws automatically binding.. and do not need any human effort to enforce it? Correct How about respect your parents, never decieve others, never consume wealth of other wrongfully? It's a recommendation IF you want certain things happened to you.. Based on the law which God has set out and enforced.. Deceive others and thou shall be deceived.. Hurt others and thou shall be hurt. Etc.. Everyone shall get what they deserves..
