Salam from Birmingham. How's life holding this view in Luton? I imagine it might be tougher than other places in the UK, but best wishes regardless.

Again, the Qur'an speaks to my doubts and diffuses them with honesty yet in suchna soft manner. 6116 And if you obey most of those on the earth they will lead you away from the path of God; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess Randomly found the verse online. Seemingly random that is.

Hello all, My name is Shane and I am from Alabama. For many years, I was a devout and sincere Christian. I read and studied the Bible looking for truth. I came across many things that did not sit right on my heart, but I continued to look for peace and understanding in my faith. I was able to overcome many weaknesses in my life, but I still continued to feel unrest in my heart. I begged God to show me the way to truth, peace, and understanding. It is only by a miracle of God and His will that I found Islam. I wanted to learn and understand what it meant to be a Muslim. I live in an area where the majority of people think all Muslims are evil and terrorists. The news channels and media have portrayed Islam to be the devil's religion. I wanted to learn about it for myself. I began to read about Islam on various websites. I read articles on the pillars of faith. I read parts of the Quran as well. I researched for about a month before I came to my current understanding. I was shocked at first and could not believe what I was reading. My heart was in a state of chaos. I knew that being a Muslim was the right way even if it meant giving up all I had ever loved about Christianity. I know now that I am on the right path, but at first when I converted I started to doubt my decision. There is so much information about how to be a Muslim by the standards of men. I became confused about Islam and my heart was torn. I knew that being a Muslim was the right decision. I began to pray again for guidance and I read my Quran all the way through. I was amazed by God's guidance. I thought I was the only one that believed in the Quran only. I can certainly tell that we are far and few in between. There is no compulsion in religion. Thanks be to God the All-Merciful and Mercy-Giving! Praise my Lord the Great!!!!! Shane praise be to allah the most merciful lord who has guided one soul towards the way of his path ....let not there be any discomfort in your heart when alllah alone guides you and welcome to this forum you will enjoy reading post here .... welcome group

Salaam I wonder what why always talking bout shahada. Many centuries after the "age of revelation", some Arabic words face amelioration as well as the language of the Quran Salat, sawm, sa3at, shahada etc has many meaning including it's distorted meaning in this globalization era.

Peace, Praise the Lord for such Guidance. I understand it is easy to idolize Jesus due to his pure nature, but he was not entirely "human" so to say. He was like a living spirit and he spoke from the cradle. But Jesus was like Adam; God just said 'be' and he was, a fine human specimen inside of Mary, fine example of a human, but by far a god and you saw that he was physically like any other man and could die. Can a god die? No Jesus was just a nice example of how good a man can be and he was a mouth of God due to real-time Guidance. But it was all due to God that he was like that and many people forget that. Same for you and me if we excel as humans and become blessed, we can reach far. God bless you

Salaam all. Please be careful with 'good' hadiths. After I left the hadith, I began to realize that even hadiths which look good/wise/noble in fact may contain deceiving factors. Imho, those who made hadiths are very sly. I'm aware of this if I use the Qur'an as reference to evaluate hadiths. However, I don't know how to explain this so others can understand. It's pretty hard to explain and I'm not good at it. Please forgive my shortcomings. This post intended to remind others to be careful also on hadiths which look good. The safest guidance only what really come from The Creator. Glory be to Him. Salaam.
