. Peace to all Is there a system or short cut to get close to Allah gazzali . Br, Read Quran from verse 1 through 6000 and odd; as you read make a stop over at the ayat that appeals to your senses; memorize that particular ayat in your own mother tongue; remember it; reflect upon it as the day progresses whenever and wherever possible; try to apply as the meanings unfold, by Allah's Grace, sensibly all through the day; this is prayer in action; rehearse and rehearse as and when the revelation on the ayat improves in the depth of your hearts with as much sincerety as possible; and seek forgiveness for failure to apply or for irrelevant application knowingly or unknowingly for Allah is Ever Forgiving.Go to sleep with the same thoughtfulness and seeking forgiveness for not living up to it. The Night will be really peaceful for you are closest to Allah during such practises. Then the next day, continue from where you stopped the previous day and stop at the ayat where Allah stops you and then continue the practise. A very important tip Never follow the prayers other than what has been prescribed above. You are really close to Allah.

Do you mean that Ayesha was really married to Muhammad ? I question whether this really happened, but maybe you can enlighten me why you believe it may have. I am genuinely curious. My question is to those who believe in the existence of Ayesha AND in this story, knowing that the woman is "their mother". As for me, I do not see how the verse is relevant to a woman or any specific person, whoever they are. It is a very general verse, just like "Do not accuse people wrongly". A hadith will come and tell us who those "people" are (usually a woman <sigh&gt, what they did and who accused them.

Many years back I read in an old book of interpretations, regarding surah 81 that this surah?s first part is predicting events to come. I do not want to insert a new (as in imagined or invented) meaning into a clear verse and would like a discussion if it is indeed permissible to read this surah in the light of this understanding? 811 I am not sure what is meant here by sun rotated or rolled ..could this be referring to sun storms? 812 stars becoming dim as artificial light make it less visible plus pollution has dimmed the starlight? 813 when Pakistan did nuclear test the whole world saw the mountain moved? 814 A ten months pregnant camel used to be a valuable commodity for travel, as there was no equal means of transportation through the desserts, but now with cars, trains and airplanes the camel will be abandoned. I remember seeing a land Rover moving fast through the dessert, in the background an abandoned camel; made me think of this verse. 815 And when/if the wild beasts were gathered. I am not sure about the exact meaning of alwuhooshu I know its not animals but wild ones ?could it be those who would cause fear in people?s minds and act wildy? 816 The oceans are set aflame. A recent TV-programme; ?Planet earth on BBC2?, showed how, under the layer of ice, methane gas has been amassing, due to pollution. The presenter set the ice alight, by digging through the ice and then throwing in a lighted match. This is interesting. In fact I have had for a long time the idea that this aya can be taken literally a well as a metaphorically for (mostly, but not exclusively) women "buried alive". And it is a pity that still many people believe in the "virtues" of burying women alive. Feminism appeared in an environment and at a time when the hyprocisy of a world full of "morality" and filth pushed under the rug that was also getting more and more materially comfortable made the suppression of women more morally shocking. While for centuries life was materially very demanding on males and females, the burdens even if unequeal were may be more balanced. When material wellbeing shifted the balance very heavily and only one sex reaped the benefits while social mores were hypocritical also against one sex, the buried alive also wanted to breath. As long as there is the will among some of keeping somebody buried alive there will have to be feminism or whatever "ism" is needed for balance. And if those who are purported to uphold moral righteousness are not able to point to the buried alive and fight for them, then someone must do it, and whoever genuinely does it is doing what is right. Peace be upon you Bluerose, What do the words "and from You alone we seek help" in Sura Fatiha mean exactly? Obviously we cannot live our lives without seeking help from other people. Is this in reference to spiritual guidance, in which case, one could deduce that we shouldn't even be asking eachother about religion? That seems unlikely too. Or does it just mean that whenever we do seek religous guidance from other people, that guidance should be from God's message? God is the one consciousness that is within all beings. So any "help" that comes from anywhere essentially comes from God. The God is at the core of all good. The Human interference with the laws is what corrupts to bad. Anyway, we take this further and see that Help from God comes with patience and "salaat" or thr process of programming(reprogramming) the subconcious. The God's help comes through the subconcious where the POWER resides. Does not your heart beat and hair grow and all of the functions that God is already managing for you come from the subconcious? Or are you controlling them? The God can also manage the affairs of your life the same way but we have to learn how to program this feature....please go to salaat thread for more discussion on that.

peace ok in many translations it says 901 I swear by this town. why does in some translations say I do not (need to) swear by this town (Mecca) (901) which one is more right? Interesting isn't it that Mecca appears in one and not the other! but what or who was the person who seemingly didn't know that he belonged to a certain community/city or land? There is no verse in Quran, abrogated Logically speaking it's circular as well. How many verses can we say are 'abrogated' ? We can go on and on.
