Salaam Someone I'm curious what do you think means in 22? How would you define it? Also look at the context of the word Aalamin being used in 22 and 2949. The context of the word is being used differently in the two seperate verses. In 22 Allah says that He is Rabb of and in 2949 says that Allah's revelation is clear to those who possess knowledge. In 22 the Aalamin is plural and it makes it very clear that Allah is Rabb of Aalamin, so that Aalamin can be properly translated as "Universe". "all the Boundless Universes", or "Worlds" Praise be to Allah The Cherisher and Sustainer of all the Boundless Universes. Aalamin is plural and it is referring to all the worlds/universes/states of existence in both the physical and Spiritual dominions. Allah is Rubb over that (&#1606 Aalamin Salaam Peace be upon you, For those who still consider that in verse 12 means "worlds", please ponder on this verse 2943 where is given a definition and is refering to those of use their mind to understand (&#1604. 12 2949 Note also that the difference in the fifth lettre ( and )of both words is due to the fact that in 12 the word is in the position of the object, while in 2949 it is in the position of the subject.

It is also interesting to note that if the man is a liar, God's reaction is a curse (la3'nattun) on the husband and if the woman is a liar, God's reaction is anger (ghadhab) toward the wife. Any better understanding as to what could be the reason behind this differentiation? I don't want to speculate, but one thing that I could think of is MAYBE because men are inclined to accuse women quickly than women? I noticed in almost all cultures, when something goes wrong, women are quickly accused of "whores"-) while in fact it has nothing to do with sex. And God the All-Mighty knows best. Salaam Myr, all That's an interesting observation. I would add that this verse is applicable to both genders, as in the case where the woman accuses her husband (I do not recall a verse parallel to this situation in the case of an accused husband). The reason in the difference in God's reaction could also be that it is more serious to accuse people than to defend yourself. The adultrer is not being fair on him/herself, but the accuser is not being fair on him/herself AND on the accused. And God Knows best.

Peace be upon you, What exactly are the Universal Laws you refer to ? An example is that you reap what you sow. We can verify this by seeing that whatever thoughts we put into our subconcious, that we wil reap that type of behavior. Just as when we put tomato seeds in the soil we rerap tomatoes. It is a LAW of the universe, just like the urge to unite with others, which also manifests as gravity. Al Kitaab, the book, which implies the universe that we must read/understand, can be read by all people, regardless of religion, race, location, etc. No excuses for anyone.

Bashar (verb) means to tell news (bad or good) The examples of "bash-shara" with good news are many. As for bash-shara with bad news, there are many verses 1658 " and if one was given the bad tidings of the birth of a female, his face blakens and he is filled with inward grief". 1659 "He hides from the people because of the bad news he was informed " 317; 458 "..so announce to him a painful torment 934; 8424; 458 "..so announce to them a painful tornment " Also look up 4138; 93; 437 Peace While I decided not to direct a comment to you, I believe I had to do this one Now we are talking without manipulations I accept your point above, sorry for my previous comment People can only shut me using the literal Quran, other than than my mouth will stay active Cheers

Salam Ahmed, Salam Bro Ayman so the three words "Injil, Torah, and Zaboor" don't mean reading, how this can make sense bro, aren't they also books sent to us by Allah for reading? All the meanings are related and they are all books. There are many passages in the great reading that describe its message as good news ("bushra&quot exactly like the meaning of "injil" (for example 297). Exactly so we clearly and comfortably say Injil = Torah = Quran = Bushra But can we say the same regarding reading? Similarly, the great reading contains "teachings" or "learning" just like the meaning of "torah". Notice that in 544 we are told that the "torah" (teachings) have light and guidance. The descriptions of "light" and "guidance" are similarly used to describe the great reading. Cool, then we can also say Injil = Torah = Quran = Teachings Now for those who received the torah and Allah ordered them to follow, how they can follow it without reading it or hearing it if it is in the form of a book? See, it is logical that the torah is a book to read, like the Injil, like the Quran, no new info to use the name Quran to stress that that book is for reading, it is so laughable brother Ayman, but there will be new info if we call it ?Bushra?, or ?Teachings?, see Now the description of "zabour" is very interesting because in ancient Arabia there were different scripts used for monumental inscriptions on rock than for writing on soft material such as parchment. Monumental inscriptions were used for commemorative writings that people don't read on day to day basis. On the other hand, the soft writing materials were used for everyday affairs such as business contracts, letters, and literature. So during the Zabour time there were people who could not read opr there was no writings on papers so the Zabour does not mean reading? In Chapter 96, we are told to read what The God taught by the "pen". Yeh but that sounds more like a metaphor, or possibly when He taught Adam all the names?, but it does not apply to you and me, because God only caused us to learn by pen from others so it sounds for all humanity exceot Adam as a Metaphore that the knwoedlge we gain via pen and papers is caused by Allah. ?Musabbib Al Asbab? We are also told that had the sea been "ink" and the trees "pens", then they would have been exhausted before The God's words. All this is indicating that similar to the "zabour", the great reading was also written on soft material that people use in every day affairs and is highly accessible for reading. It was not written as a monumental inscription for mere religious display. Bro this is irrelevant to be honest because regardless the writings is written on a rock or on a piece of paper of a piece of papyrus it still needed to be read to follow or to be heard by someone to be followed, we are not going to read it to spend the time bro or the people of the past didn't need to reed these books from Allah? As you see above, all the meanings of "injil, torah, and zaboor" are related to the great reading and have similar properties as the great reading. We shouldn't repeat the mistakes of the people in the past who lost those meanings by transforming them into meaningless proper names. Like Bushra, I agree (there is new info here) Like Teachings I agree (there is new info here) Like reading I disagree (because there is no new info whatsoever and a child should know that any writing is for reading), I donlt think they teach us at schools that books are for read, we just pick it up naturally For example, by transforming "injeel" into a meaningless proper name Christians have transformed Jesus from a "bearer of good news" (i.e., a messenger) into a son of god. Really? Please bro don?t confuse the subjects, making Jesus a son of god has noting to do with our discussion here, thanks Now sectarians are doing the same thing with the great reading. By transforming it into a meaningless proper name they have made an idol out of it. They claim that it is "uncreated". They take it as a protector and hang it on their walls to ward evil while The God is the only protector. As well the sectarians has nothing to do here, do you see me using their words?, I only use the Quran I don?t use anything else including the possibly contaminated historical evidences We should trust in The God and in that He doesn't use words haphazardly. Exactly so to name a book ?reading? constitute using words haphazardly Let me confuse the subject as you do Would you care to explain to us what ?Jebril? means? He chose to describe this book using the intensified noun form of qra' for a meaningful reason. It isn't just a meaningless label. Peace, Ayman yep to incline reading, but not to mean reading, we know already that any book is for reading so if it was meant reading then this constitute a clear cut use of words haphazardly See, I can?t call a car ?Driving?, because a child knows that it is for driving, but what I can call the car is this Mazda RX8 Would you care to explain to us what Mazda RX8 means? Peace bro Ahmed

therefore I take it as the first 1 that is the day Ind Allah and is equivlent to 1000 years of what we count, this actually lead to an equiation that pin pointed the speed of light accuratly For someone who claims to design bridges and tunnels you seem to not know the most elementary facts. Speed is distance over time. To calculate a speed requires the knowedge of distance. To say one day is equal to 1000 years can never yield a distance value. 1000 years is approx 365, 000 days. Show anyone here how you can derive the speed of light from that one piece of data. If you can't do it, then at least admit in your post that you are ignorant of how this traditionalist rubbish pseudo science was started and that you know it only from hearsay amongst conversations outside your local mosque. You probably also believe that Neil Armstrong heard the "athan" when he set foot on the moon - a rumour started by enemies of Islam to bait them into spreading obvious rubbish so they may be ridiculed. Wake up Ahmed. yay yay yay May I ask who you are laughing at, me or truth? Cheers

Peace the context of 5662 should be considered along with 5661, clearly in 5661 Allah is telling us that He can easily replace us with something that can even look different then force us to live in totally different world (good or bad, the verse can mean both), this verse indicates that this is what is going to happen as future phases, in 5662 Allah is telling us that we knew the first phase which is how we live now in a human body that will die sooner or later and next phase will start in fact 5660 where death is mentioned should be considered along with these 2 verses Cheers

As salamu alaykum. Respectfully. jedi I got Bosnian translation of the Qur'an and lately i have noticed several wrong interpretations. I have underlined the words that i'd like to know how are they written in Arabic and what do they mean. Can somebody who speaks fluent Arabic explain this to me Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. (Qur'an, 222 And also this one Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance) For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). (Qur'an, 434) Thanks for the explanation. May Allah Most Merciful reward you with Paradise. As salamu alaykum. jedi

Salam All Last week I watched a scientific documentary on CH4 about the (heart memory). The research into this topic was triggered by patients who underwent heart transplant and noticed a complete change in their personalities ( for example, one became a poet, another gave up hia business to become an athlet at the age of 50+, one started to drink beer, something she hated a lot..etc; i.e. mainly preference to some food, life style, dreams, even professional changes) and when doctors and scientists investigated those changes, to their surprise they found that they belonged to their donors. The research concluded that the heart has the most sophi.sticated nervous system, and that it is the heart that controls the brain in many cases, so the brain commands the body to act accordingly. It is even more interesting to find out that most desires are controlled by the heart nervous system, not the brain (haven't you noticed that your heart beats change before you even think or rationalize what you see)?

Peace Imran, 971 We have sent it down in the Night of Decree. 972 And do you know what is the Night of Decree? 973 The Night of Decree is better than one thousand months. 974 The Angels and the Spirit come down in it by their Lord's leave to carry out every matter. 975 It is peaceful until the coming of dawn. What is this night and when is it? Let the thoughts flow... The word "qadr" means "measure" not "decree". You can see a detailed explanation of what this night is here http//www.free-minds.org/articles/science/timing.htm I hope this helps. Peace, Ayman

Peace Danish, What eternal source are you talking about Bro, you know what I'm talking about - you qualified it in your last sentence. what does "Muhammad or whomever" know anything about this "eternal source"? Like I said, history bears no weight in my reaching this conclusion. Has any human, as far as we can remember, witnessed/seen or even heard of/from GOD? I'm in no position to say. Danish, I've always respected you and your thoughts. I'm not sure what catalyzed you to switch gears but I cast no judgement. We all need to find our own peace of mind and I have no problem with anyone's choice of path so long as it doesn't obstruct mine. That being said, I have no desire to debate these concepts with you. I was simply expressing why/how I've reached this point in my life, and this because you asked me to research some basic concepts which, by asking, insinuated that you thought I hadn't already. Peace, Tay
