Salaam Peace, The Sky = Al Samaa'a (singular) The Universe = The Skies and the Earth = Al Samaawaati Wa Al Ardh (the combination of the two words)! Taj

GL... believe me ! nobody will buy this and Zenje just dropped you with one easy shot. misha and your friends are not messenger of GOD . we are talking about our Imam here too . so there must be some other legitimate reason to call their name diffferent than Quranic name.

marie, You are correct but Mi3raj for the believers is your own interpretation. I don't drawn deductions based on verses isolated from their context. If the interpretation is discreet and not in tune with the popular literal translation, is it considered out of context ?

bro ansar, Do you speak of Quran? Or about the Book? They are not the same. The Book that we have with us with the verses is the Key to Quran that which is being Preserved and well Guarded in Luvhul Mahful. Bismilla is not the part of the Book! We are yet to discuss on Quran as to what it is ? and where it is at present ? and who to "Quran" is given ? drfazl Well, for me its the same. But according to you, you say the book we have with us do not contain the revealed words of the quran? In all quranic books you will see bismillah mentioned before the surah (except at-taubah). But now you say its not a revealed part from Allah. Am i right?

Peace be upon you Tony, Ok lets be exact.. VIRUS = HADITH AND SUNNA OF BUKHARY AND CO. Still a little bit off D I would say Virus= hadith and sunna of anything but the God's Truthful teachings. This way we also recognize the virus of "christains", "jews", "satanists", etc, not just Bukhary and co. As well, we allow for the truth that came before us as well, which THIS reading(quran) confirms.

Salam brother mz357 I am sorry for the delay in answering your question. You can find "Burhan" in the Qur'an dictionary, under the Baa heading. The root is BRHN. I agree with your statement regarding proofs and pledges. thank you. Hussein

Salaam mquran, You are mostly welcome! And you are absolutely right about the word "Khayal". It does mean "imagination". But "Khail" or as you write it "Khayl" is not "Khayal"! I remember that the show host, on Orbit channel two, who was interviewing him, was very surprised over that analysis. And not just over that but also over almost everything that Dr. Sharoor had to say! Taj

Thanks again, Peace hima is personal pronoun 3rd person in dual, and i think its genitive case ... ayman can mean a lot of things..."right hands", probably "oaths" and "pledges", and i think many many more....havent acces to the dic. right now.... best wishes, Zlatan

Peace Hafeez, These are important verses to prove to the traditionalists that it is not a shortened prayer. Here is what I understand I don?t see the subject change from the DISBELIEVERS in 4101. I understand from 4103 (in this context) that when you are no longer in fear of treachery from those DISBELIEVERS who have a commitment with you that you now keep the commitment not to fight them as promised. You are finished with the reduced commitment of allowing them to be armed and fight in your presence but separated from each other. You are reminded of the fixed commitment not to fight them (when there is no fear of treachery and you are secure). 4104 indicates that the hostilities are not yet over and you are to continue with the pursuit of the original enemy, those with whom you have no commitment not to fight. THIS VERSE IS REVEALED IN THE CONTEXT OF FIGHTING and NOT TREATY OF PEACE. I understand this differently since the mithaq is mentioned in 490. I think it is both, some you have a treaty with and some you don?t. I could be totally wrong -) but I will think about it both ways again. I am always eager to read the results of your research. Thanks.

Salaam, aljizyat/the due (jim-zay-ya) is like a recompense or retribution. I'm not sure if it is a tax the people under an occupying power pay since ayat 929 does not seem to imply such. Joe

peace, check this thread right here too (i know you got this from this forum) http//64.227.163.32/cgi-bin/forum/webbbs_config.pl?read=25049 in response to him one of the guys there said Dear Mr. Owen Cranston, Peace and blessings! This 80 plus year old man has been studying this website since its inception some years ago. It has given the viewers a beautifully balanced platform to get enlightened and unitedly stand on, all based on the pristine teachings of the Qur'an. I commend this website for valiantly upholding the Truth while discretely thwarting all excesses of orthodoxy or schisms in the name of "modernity". In your country they say, "Don't fix it if it is not broke." Everyone is entitled to hold their beliefs and tenets. Therefore, my humble suggestion to you would be to stick to your ideas but refrain from propagating them where they are not welcome. Count me among those who completely reject your notions and propositions as being alien to the Book of Allah. There are many other websites who would rather gladly entertain your thoughts. With best wishes, Ismail this sounds like "advice" the idolators would have given a prophet that came to them some other responses he recieved in this thread Mr. Cranston, Peace Meaning no favour or insults to anyone, I find this website the most balanced one out there. Being a senior diplomat in Beijing, I am a keen student of our (human) behaviour. I have not read, but rather closely studied, all of your posts. You are a learned gentleman, no doubt. Sometimes we fall for sensationalism without knowing it. Then, we begin to (unknowingly) derive pleasure in challenging and opposing every idea. It appears to me that too many strayed websites have vitiated your brilliant mind. Among others, the most grievous insult that has come from your good self is trying to stick 17/1 to Prophet Moses. Sir, if you cannot honour Muhammad SallAllahu-alayihi-wasallam, the milieu of Beacon might not be for you. May be you can write your own translation of the Quraan. No offense intended. Sincerely, Afsara Dear Sis Christina, Salam I am afraid you did not have a chance to look at Mr. Cranston's hurtful posts ridiculing the Prophet (saw), Kaabah, Salat, Saum, Mecca and Medina etc in various modes. He opposes and challenges almost each and every ordinance and belief so succincly given in the Quraan. His mind seems to have been contaminated by the deviators like Rashad Khalifa and Aidid Safar. Let us cling to the pure Quraanic truth. Saadia

Peace be upon you all, I have not studied this subject properly, but if it is true that the arabic words state "cutting of hair", then my thought process would start by thinking about how many people are already bald. We can think of the argument used against the sunnis regarding growing beards, many Asians do not have facial hair. So we can likewise reason the command for cutting hair. Why do people cut thier hair? It is REMOVING EXCESS that we do not need. The God tells us over and over about ECXESSES. We are not to take EXCESS in intoxicants, we are to spend the EXCESS of our money, etc. I have no understanding yet of the verses, but those are just some thoughts out loud.

Hey you guys, Could the moon splitting be as simple as lane is saying! 541 This little peice is from lanes waqadh wainshaqqaalqamaru =and the case hath become menifest I suppose it could be as we say "Its clear as day". Sousing the message trans The Hour draws near, and has become menifest . And if they see a sign, they turn away and Say ?Continuous magic!? And they disbelieved, and followed their desires, and every old tradition. While the news had come to them in which there was sufficient warning. A perfect wisdom; but the warnings are of no benefit. So turn away from them; the Day will come when the caller will announce a terrible disaster. With their eyes humiliated, they come out of the graves like scattered locusts. Hastening towards the caller, the rejecters will Say ?This is a difficult Day.? I wonder! Peace.

Salaamun alaikum Feshari , long time no see, dear sister. I think this is the verse you're looking for 587 Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things. Of course Sunnis would conjure a hadith which is TOTALLY opposite to the Quraan !

Peace Hlatif, Shi'is and Sunnis pray nearly the same way and the Schism ocurred before Bukhari. Muslims did not wait for Bukhari to tell them how to pray, how to fast or how to perform Hajj. They have already been doing it for two hundred years. Actually they are not the same...Shia believe in 3 Salat times per day, during which they carry-out 5 Salats (i.e. they join zuhur & asr, and they join maghrib & isha). This is the dilemma that we face as Free-minders. We believe that the Qur'an provides us with all the answers related to the Salat, fasting and Hajj. We also believe that the Qur'an is simple and easy to understand. How do you guys then explain all the array of different opnions that related to Salat, Hajj and fasting that are voiced in this forum? We are not even able to decide what those issues are exactly. I believe what is occuring here on this site and others is a natural progression of debate and thought...We are comming on the sceme after 1,400 years from the revelation of the Quran and are overwhelmed with the distortions that have found their way into the system of Islam. With debates the result will be that the most correct arguments will stand the test of debate and questioning...We should not be worried about that.

Salaams all, Although i agree with Aziz, Can somebody be born a muslim , or do you get this title through endeavour - like as to become a or gain the title Dr before your name. So is there really a religion Islam or are religions Forbidden as something called shiaism in the quran see 6159 ,3031-32. Inna allatheena farraqoo deenahumwakanoo shiyaAAan lasta minhum fee shay-in innamaamruhum ila Allahi thumma yunabbi-ohum bimakanoo yafAAaloona As for those who divide their Deen and break up into Shiaism(Religions), thou hast no part in them in the least their affair is with Allah He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did. 3. Walaqad arsalna min qablika feeshiyaAAi al-awwaleena We did send messengers before thee amongst the religious sects of old Muneebeena ilayhi waittaqoohuwaaqeemoo alssalata wala takoonoomina almushrikeena Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with Allah,- Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanooshiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona Those who split up their Deen, and become Religious Sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself! Aidid has explained this in far more details.

PEACE IDOL PREIST Of course we have grounds to tell them this, in fact, we are obligated to. Allah, has made it clear time again He guides and nothing else, and, that He guides through His Quran Yes, his reading(quran) is ANY TRUTHFUL STATEMENT/MESSAGE and we judge by TRUTH. This reading happens to be one of the greatest TOOLS by which to be guided. So, by your logic if a someone comes to you and says...percentage wise the N.Y. Yankees were a better team than the Houston Astros last year, and that being the truth, would constitute a reading from Allah...is this your position? PRIEST Where do you get this notion we are to look each one and verify its truthfulness? Allah, has commanded us to study Al-Quran for our guidance and nothing else. If a particular Bukharian hadith is supported by Al-Quran, then that hadith is redundant, becuase Allah has already stated that truth. Allah's Hadith doesn't require the validation of other hadiths. To support your position is to be indicted by 1015, in that, to attempt to authenticate non-Quranic hadiths is to look to "bring another quran". Perhaps one day you will reflect and understand what I am saying. Is what Musa said redundant because Arbaham was already here and said it first? Truth is Truth. Please reflect on this, Kyle...we don't know for a fact/certitude what Musa or Abraham said other than what Allah said they said in Al-Quran...now do we, yes or no? PRIEST This is where common sense/intellect comes in, Kyle. I'm quite certain you can determine what distinguishes a body of work from a line/lines or a passage, am I correct? No, I do not know, please inform me. Main Entry BODY OF WORK the total output of a writer or artist (or a substantial part of it). I really don't think a line or some lines or a passage would qualify as a body of work, especially, given the comprehensiveness of Allah's Quran/Body of Work. Ayat 1015, if one uses one's commom sense/intellect, is speaking to a comprhensive body of work which could be either substituted for Allah's Quran or used as a supplement to it. PRIEST The point is though that, the Messenger, was given the Last Revelation/Quran/Hadith/Message/Guidance from Allah, hence, what Message/Reading will one believe after that? Then what hadith, after that, will they believe in? No, the prophet recieves the TRUTH, and after hearing the TRUTH, what other story is even of interest? Yes, the Messenger received the truth and it is contained between the "two binders" of the Book/Recital/Hadith of Allah...Al-Quran. 5234 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 5234 Falyatoo bihadeethin mithlihi in kanoo sadiqeena. As I said, 1015 precludes the use of any other body of work for one's guidance/salvation of one's soul, other than The Book/Al-Quran. Please reflect on this before responding.
