Peace be upon you Sabo, I can understadn your doubts about that, but we have to remember the context of the "helper". It is not stated WHO the "helpers" are helping. In my brainstorming, I suggest that they might be helpers of those who consider themselves guided, its like the blind(yahood) leading the blind(nasara). The God says those closest to the submitters are those who call themselves "nasara". I would say that is because they are at least WILLING to be shown some evidence, UNLIKE the yahood who are stubborn to new understanding. Please think on this Sabo and let me know if it is at least a possibility at this time.

Peace Dacrus, The translation you provided is not accurate "I wish I had taken the path with the messenger!" In that Ayah in the Quran, there is no "the". There is only an "a" So the correct translation should be more like this " I wish I had taken, with the Messenger, a path". Taj

Peace be upon you, Here is my understanding. The Mountain is the largest object on the PHYSICAL earth. It is said to be a stabalizer and is used as a symbolism for government(that which is meant to stabalize society). In this story, it is used because it is the largest object on earth, and the topic deals with the God revealing "Himself" to the Physical level. When we think upon the mountian physically, or any physical object for that matter, it is not really sturdy like we might think. It is made of the VERY SAME things that all thinsg are made of, ATOMS. And they are n constant motion. So if you really think upon ANY physical object, including the LARGEST of them on earth, it is STILL part of the SAME WHOLE. ALL THINGS manifest from the God. There is nothing outside of the God's "being". ALL THINGS come from the same energy, that forms atoms, that form all objects in the physical world.

Peace, The meaning of is basic and clear, mukhamat, in 1424 and similar verses. Dharaba is used by God not as a physical striking or hitting. Though this word has many meanings we should only be concerned with what the author (God) means when He uses it. If we consistently keep that meaning throughout the reading we get a clearer understanding of mutashabiha verses. Try it and see. In 37 The word mutashabiha literally means similar or consistent. It is also found in 3923 to indicate God revealed the ahsanal hadithsi kitaban mutashabihan (which literally means the Qur?aan is the best hadith in a form of a book that is consistent) to indicate the instruction of any particular subject spread all over the Qur?aan is self explanatory.

Salaam, I wasn't going to post for awhile but I had to point something out. Starting a sentence with "wa" is very common and correct in old semitic languages, nothing incorrect about it, you can not judge Arabic with English syntax.

Salaam, And do not argue with the followers of earlier revelation..."We believe in that which has been bestowed from on high upon us, as well as that which has been bestowed upon you for our God and your God is one and the same, and it is unto Him that we surrender ourselves." The BIGGEST part of Islam is believing in one God and Quran. This verse is saying not to argue with those of earlier revelation since they believe in the same one God and believe in God's (older) revelation. But, we are even closer, we have the same God and the same Quran. In my opinion, I think it is best to lay this to rest (heh...that rhymes). As this verse points out, its not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, we all surrender "unto Him".

Peace Kyle, The God says the nightime is the best time. Is it a coincidence that the night is the "home" of the moon? That is simply not true. In my understanding, throughout the Quran, the verses reflect upon the night and the day, as equally and well established for those who understand. A man (think of the sun) can always give his seed, but a woman(think of the moon which has 28 day cycles like the woman) can not always ACCEPT the seed due to her CYCLES. Think for a moment and reverse the situation by your own admonition. It doesn't add up. The ancients understood this very well, especially since they did not have distractions such as TV's and ELECTRIC CLOCKS and lights. They got in TUNE with creation and realized that there are right and wrong times for everything. What I do know is that the right and wrong times for everything are well suited for all times, not just the ancients. Salaat is at STATED TIMES. Salaat, again, as I understand, is for all times (24/7), hence the commitments, obligations, routines, daily chores, duties, etc. A good example is of verse 56, which explains cleanliness, hygiene.

Attributes of Allah Here we have Allah is eternal and infinite, besought of all Al-Samad The Self-Sufficient, the Impregnable, the Eternally Besought of All, the Everlasting Al-'Azim The Magnificent, the Infinite But here we have Allah as the "alpha and the omega", the beginning and end. How does an eternal and infinte being have a beginning and end? Al-Awwal The First Al-Akhir The Last This is peculiar no? My explanation is that number 73 and 74 are talking from the perspective from us humans, and number 68 and 34 are talking from the "perspective" of timelessness - but even so, why the awkward change in perspective? Peace be upon you Burhan, idolfree, I'm not going to waste time giving you grammar lessons and history lessons from the quran. Peace brother, if you have proof , please offer it. If not, do not offer it. I do not want to waste your time. Also, I never mentioned anything about shedding blood. What do you think happens when there is physical war? Jihad is outward struggle, it is visible action. An action where you put yourself at risk is jihad. Where you risk your life and property. Everything that happens outwardly starts inwardly, so the struggle begins inside. That is why wer are told over and over and over again about how Iblis rejected the command to prostrate. For example declaring in public your faith is Jihad, because you are at risk from the opposition. Agreed, but that is not the whole picture. Inner struggle is not jihad - infact jihad is the way reslove inner struggle. The God states (1311) that He does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in thier Minds(nafs). So I have to disagree with you. Learn from history - May day for example is a classic example of Jihad. The examples in THIS reading are sufficient for this debate. Please tell me how you understand 1311 which I gave above?

Peace, Here?s a point (way )simplified from "The structure of ethical terms in the Qur?aan" There is a science to how language is learned and understood. The Qur'aan is a perfect example of this science. Example The author of a narrative says ?Mr. Brown is GOOD.? The reader cannot know for sure what is GOOD to the author. He only knows for sure what GOOD means to himself, the reader. The author goes on to say. ?GOOD is charity, morality, justice.? ?GOOD is not lewdness, cheating, lying?. Keeping the above principle in mind other meanings or understandings for GOOD are irrelevant when the reader is ONLY trying to understand the AUTHOR?S point of view. This eliminates the confusion of dictionaries with multiple meanings and meanings changing over time. Hence, the Qur'aan explains itself through repetition by different angles (tasreef), negative and positive uses of a word, and (mukhamat) basic universally understood uses of a word. A good example of this is kaabata. ?Wipe you feet (universally understood) to the ANKLES?. The next time the word appears it retains the authors? basic use or meaning. In my humble understanding I don?t see God leaving mankind to guess, only to think. God says He has made this Qur?aan easy. Logically, a universal message meant to guide all of mankind would have to be such if one considers the varying of intellects. Perhaps we should first be clear on the basics before moving on to the esoteric and ?higher? meanings.
