Well i apologize for not answering your question Goldenlegend I would understand your view. I'm sorry, however, i was not meaning to be arrogant and saying i know. These understandings is what i could derive out of the verses. Yes God Almighty knows best. In some things however, God Almighty cites what's going to happen, like about punishment, and 7 gates of hell, and 2 heavens..... we might not be 100% right, but we would be close to being right about heaven and hell, than wrong.... Unfortunately, you are going against . giveup Many people believed in the Quran when it first was revealed long before many of its verses were revealed and died without having much knowledge of the rest of the Quran. Many died in Mecca and the early days in Medina. Plus the magicians believed in Moses long before they came across any of the scriptures that bears Moses's name. So scriptures are biut one sign of God and not the only sign. Faith is something God controls and not humans. God talked about the sun and moon as signs, and the day and night as signs. A blind person may never see those signs but it does not mean he can't believe in God. Faith is not based on what the eyes can see or what the ears hear.

Sometimes, I feel as though when your style of translation evolves, we will soon find it filled with "/" signs and every single sentence will exceed multiple paragraphs depending on the possible meanings according to dictionary/cultural aspects/historical aspects/etc. Nothing negative though, its just an observation. I'm sure every process in the body can be measured in a physical science way... brain through EEG, heart through ECG, nerves and the rest of the electrical body of ours through different means. But, what I was referring to is something that main stream science most probably would dismiss as non-sense... that's why you guys would not be familiar with what I'm referring to. I'm doing some experiments and I'll report back again on this this autumn. Anyway, I don't think the electric impulses of the heart or brain would affect the physical environment around us... apart from perhaps auras could be felt to some extent between individuals. This is consistent one hundred percent with the Koran. The Koran requires four witnesses. and if there is only the man as a witness, the oath in the name of Allah, who averts the punishment. Well Fortune that is listed there is not a correct translation and rather translates to "divining arrows" which was a practice the pagan arabs had where they raffled food in a gamble like fashion using arrows (not sure how the process worked). The exact same words are used in 53 which are the list of stuff we can't eat, which has "divining arrows" in there too. As for predicting the future, well its superstition if one believes that people can do such things and humans simply aren't capable of predicting the unseen future. The weather forecasts aren't fortune telling and rather just a hypothesis using science to see what is what. Even they aren't 100% sure as they don't know the future and how the weather might take a 180 degree spin, which it seems to have here for next weekend where its going from sunny as predicted earlier to rainy >_< The best we can do is make hypothesis of what might happen in the future by we can't say we are fortune tellers or that anyone is as only God is truly all knowing and all seeing. Thus when I read a fortune cookie, I find it funny XD

Ok, fair enough. I was just wondering as I doubt that much of what he says can even be verified. However, I too like much of what is said on SOL. Is this not a reason not to abstain? The meat of pigs is deemed impure (6145) For the Prohibition of the Meat of Pigs, notice it is the MEAT of pigs and NOT the fat or the bones etc. One can logically eat the fat of pigs (lard), etc. Notice that the Prohibition on the Jews in 6146 is the FAT of some animals except in certain parts of their bodies. However, MEAT is not prohibited. The fat of pigs is not mentioned as forbidden. In 6146, we see that the jews had a seemingly opposite dietary prohibition. They are not allowed to eat the FAT of certain animals which is found in certain parts of their bodies. HOWEVER, no mention is made of the MEAT of those animals, thus they can eat the meat of such animals. The opposite would be true for us, we are prohibited from eating the MEAT of pigs, but not the fat. Moreover, we are not prohibited from using pig meat or pig fat, as they maybe found in cleaning products and cosmetics etc. (i think the traditional view is that these products are forbidden) (the controversy might be about the skin absorbing these products) I would say that the fat of pigs could be used, since technically we are allowed to consume the fat of pigs, and i just research about amino acids and found that the skin is NOT able to absorbe them (however, please check with creams/lotions/topicals/cosmetics if they have swine-derived amino acids, and especially with make-up as mascara. Putting these products on an open wound or cut might bring in Swine Amino acids into your body) "I researched skin absorbtion and my opinion is that amino acids like lysine or glycine cannot be abosorbed from the skin. I am not sure about Vitamin C. I think the emphasis is on the Will of God as the ONLY thing there is; and nothing else ever has a free choice or free will. The accent is on the submission=Islam, a doctrinal or theological point, to metaphorically show that even the earth and the sky submitted willingly or unwillingly, and as we too should do... I believe that the God is almightly but i don't believe that we are without freewill. We have a will. Whether God allows us to carry out what we will is something that we don't decide. We just hope.
