Lane is also carried away by the traditional gossip. Calling them two great nations is so ridiculous; after reading Qur'aan, which shows them some creatures spoiling their crops/lands while making their way from the land gap between two mountains, which he blocked, with a structure made of metals; that it needs no rebuttal and will be just waste of time.

689 These are the ones to whom We have given the Book ( ) , and the law, and the prophethood, if they reject it, then We will entrust it to a people who will not reject it. Sounds like it's related to quran 4738.

No, not because that, the reason that I didn't want to tell him is that he doesn't want to learn, he just wanted to say to people that he knows Arabic but unfortunately he knows nothing. A jack of all trades and master of none. I do not think that arabic is a pre-requisite to get the core message contained in the Quran. It can for sure help in understanding but as Allah says in 4144 "Non-Arabic and Arabic, say For those who believe, it is a guide and healing..."

Dear all, if we could just follow these five verses, Badar Al FALAQ Surah 1131 Think with your mind, and then make it manifest in your words and actions; that I commit to the Ones keeping, and put my trust for the protection and preservation from being separated from my fosterer, maintainer, nourisher and accomplisher.- Surah 1132 "From being one exceeding due limits, so becoming a wrongdoer, unjust, corrupt and wicked. Not consistent with, what one is measured and proportioned for.- Surah 1133 As well as, from being one exceeding due limits, so becoming a wrongdoer, unjust, corrupt and wicked and becoming darkened due to these, like darkness of a night covering everything. Whenever, such darkness tries to cover ones self.- Surah 1134 As well as, from being one exceeding due limits, so becoming a wrongdoer, unjust, corrupt and wicked; or even the spittle ejecting such thoughts from the mouth, while judging, managing, conducting, ordering and regulating all affairs.- Surah 1135 As well as, from being one exceeding due limits, so becoming a wrongdoer, unjust, corrupt and wicked; or from acting enviously, even whenever one feels such. Abdun Nur http//servantofthelight.com/content/view/95/126/ Badar The English written underneath the Arabic text is one of the most beutiful and profound sentences that I have come across. I hope that that is what is written in Arabic above the English sentences also. If it so, then no Book can ever match this work. I hope and pray that people instead of calling names and getting upset, do a linguistic discussion on each and every word and letter in Arabic text, with references, irrespective of the fact if they are Arabic or Ajami, and try to honestly see everything again, rather than being "I Know It All" and I dont need or want to even look at the possible explanation being presented by others as well. One who presents the most logical sense with DUE REFERENCES AND LINGUISTIC REASONS should then be able to make his or her case. But please do a linguistic discussion with references, like all other fields of investigations, rather than being stuck that we know it all. May be we will continue to evolve our understanding and get to know it even better. After all the Arabic script is the ultimate truth. What is written unferneath the OLD ARABIC text is what we need to explore and there should be no shame even if all the non Arabic text under the Arabic text changes, as long as it can be proved to be correct based on linguistics but with references. If every thing proves to be the same as the time old traditional meanings, based on this discussion, then that's fine too. But please have an open mind discussion with references to the meanings of each and every letter in the OLD ARABIC TEXT, so every one can understand it too. Please no more slandering or calling names, but discussion and discussion only with linguistic reasoning and proper referncces. Love and Peace

Posted on April 25, 2010, 071406 PMPosted by Mazhar Mazhar Quote Thanks, over and all. Posted on Yesterday at 074828 PMPosted by Mazhar Quote Mr. mazhar either you are deliberately trying to confuse my comments, or you did not understand? Raj-ah Quote The people of Makkah do you think were not experts in arabic and donot understood the roots of these words used in Quran, The disbelievers of Makkah were expert in the language of the Quran, but they did not understand many of the concepts and similitudes of the Quran. They thus rejected it as being words of a madman. Mazhar Quote Please read Qur'aan and find whether they did not understand words of Qur'aan or they had other motives and considerations for not accepting it. So according to you they understand Quran by language, and I said the same thing, Makkans understood the language and roots of Quran but still rejceted Muhammad and Quran. Therefore to undrerstand Quran by root process is not the best way as propogated by some. What a contradiction!! Over and all and then .......No that is not a contradiction

"Syro-aram?ische Lesart des Koran", tells us that the Quran can be traced to a Christian lectionary written in an Aramaic-Arabic language hybrid. Patricia Crone and Michael Cook developed a thesis that the origin of Islam was in Southern Palestine rather than in Mecca and Medina; they understand the focus on Mecca and Medina as a later Islamic origin myth as is propogated with some what differences by some authors at this site like ayman, Layth and others. In the quest of finding the original meaninings of quran, we have changed "hur" with white grapes" did this bring other religons nearer to Islam? shall we change each and every ayat and surah which is not acceptable to Jews, Christians, etc to call them to Islam? how many converts the believers of this site have made? and how many converts has Zakir Naik or others who do not believe in altering the Quran have made? if this is the object to gain. Yes, the influence of Aramaic on Quran should be taken seriously. some Koran expressions could be explained by the Aramaic language, and it is thus desirable to continue research in this direction. But that is it. However Luxenberg claims The Qur'an is not (grammatically) Arabic with Aramaic loan-words, but is composed in a jargon that mixes structural elements of two different languages. Al-quran We are fully aware that they say, "A human being is teaching him!" The tongue of the source they hint at is non-Arabic, and this is a perfect Arabic tongue. Surely, those who do not believe in GOD's revelations, GOD does not guide them. They have incurred a painful retribution

6151 Say ?Come let me recite for you what your Lord has forbidden for you that you should not set up anything with Him; and be kind to your parents; and do not kill your children for fear of poverty, We provide for you and for them; and do not come near lewdness, what is plain of it or subtle; and do not kill the soul which God has forbidden, except in justice. That is what He enjoined you that you may comprehend.? Why does the god differentiate between killing a child and killing in general? I vaguely recall reading somewhere on this forum that the bit that's translated as "Do not kill your children" should actually be translated as "Do not neglect your children" so I searched for the thread in which I read that, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, what do you guys think 6151 says? I believe this has to do with children being offspring... that which is in creation... such as even wasting sperm. Because if you did, then you'll become sexually lame. And always after a ghusl. But even without mentioning that. You'll find that some people don't consider children as adults... children and adults are different things. At one point there is no rhul of allah in a child, it's just part of the mother, and before that constituents of the parents.

Rajaah I already stated in the first post in this thread that I do not have the answers to those verses you listed because it is beyond my knowledge. My intentions are simply to put this interpretation to the test and if it is inconsistent with what the quran is trying to say then I have no qualms whatsoever. It is a simple matter of rolling dice, eventually one will land on a six. As I said, my interpretation is more intuitive than anything else. Herbman I don't understand exactly what you mean. So for each point on earth, if you go infinitely to the east, you arrive at the west and vice versa? I mean, on a sphere you cannot define an absolute east or west since it loops in on itself. Can you please clarify? As a person not learned in Arabic I am not qualified to make statements about things that are arabic. However I am not stupid and I do have the ability to say 2+2=4 and not 5 and this is what I exercise. So I tend to use intuition when understanding the great reading, the core assumption being that the God of reality is identical to the God of the quran. Of course this springs up a multitude of individual logical snippets/questions that must then be checked against reality. An interesting thing is in many verses, God states that "It will be a single Shout " and thereafter shall judgement commence. What is a shout? A vibration. When we talk to each other, we hear words, phrases, sounds etc. In reality however what actually happens is that the air merely moves left and right (or East and West p) in a certain pattern and our brains decompose that pattern into its components and make out the words. This is what I mean by the intuitive approach I take, it is then self evident to me that this "Shout" that God talks of is quite literally that, a vibration that will cause things to change. So 791-7 makes obvious sense and it is obvious as to why God swears by the things he does. 796, a vibration is sent out through the universe. 797, the aftershocks of that vibration come into action. Does it get any clearer? What I understand is that God has a plan, He created this universe for a reason. We as humans play some kind of part in the grand plan and our reward is the life of eternity , which is not currently attainable for whatever reasons, God knows best. Our part in the plan is merely to follow a certain predictable pattern that happens to result in peace.

Quote Earlier it has been told that they stand for As-salat only for showing it to people to confirm their claim of having believed. Where is "it" in the grammar? That is your pre-conceived notion. This is not grammer but I narrated a fact. "Earlier it has been told" and it is here earlier http//www.haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/004.%20An%20Nisa/temp%2014%20%204.142a.gif Indeed the Muna'fi'qeen think they deceive Allah and He lets them engulfed in their deceptive perception ; http//www.haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/004.%20An%20Nisa/temp%2014%20%204.142.gif And when they get up/stand to join the Ass-sa'laat they stand reluctantly/irritant/with heavy heart just for the sake of showing/demonstrating to people http//www.haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/004.%20An%20Nisa/temp%2014%20%204.142b.gif and they do not remember and metion Allah except occasionally. Peace be upon you, My salutes to you, for getting close to the real concept of Salaat. But please remember, the book popularly know as AlQuran is a huge document. Understanding one word or verse does not solve the problem. We need to understand all of it to find out, what is in works for us. <<<< I could not agree more, and I add that we must understand It (the document you speak of) and that which came before it (as we are told in it). We must understand life itself, and the science to say that we understand, that we know. We must be able to objectively verify it, and that is how we know that we know. o) This is, what our meager efforts are directed at.<<< I applaud you and hope I can offer support to the effort. I hope that you will read my explanation and a healthy discussion with me. I have already started to read your site.

Peace, Respectfully. One is on my shelf at home, Thank God. Also, you'll find it on this link http//free-minds.org/ I think the word daraba has been discussed, .... Peace. How would you know if its a 100% correct translation, if you don't understand the original Arabic version from which it was derived? The free-minds Quran is pretty good, but not perfect. Look how they translated 5043, for example 5043 We are the Ones who give life and bring death, and to Us is the destiny. We are the ONES, is an absurd example... When in the reality, the Arabic uses the "We", conjugating twice, which puts an EMPHASIS on it... The correct translation would be "SURELY, IT IS WE who gives life and brings death". Instead, it is translated to take away from the ONEness of God.... Either that, or it attributes partners to him. Both of which are blasphemous.

My pleasure It?s kinda self explanatory but a quick overview recognises those who surrender to God also have association with doing good deeds. I didn?t mention 3356 which recognises submission in totality, however traditionalist seem to think it?s is in relation to blessing the prophet (465 uses same terminology )

sorry I though Akidah and deen were words normally associated with Islam? So Islam is clear BUT you have to ask questions on some of it..........meaning you think its NOT clear. ??? you sure? is this only if the deen issues are not related to Islam, which is clear? so you are saying asking things about God are not Islamic issues? I would have thought that God was THE issue but you are saying these questions are philosophical and not allowed? You may think you are celar on who/what/where God is but not everyone is and thats why people come to ask questions so they can find constructive answers to help them find what is right for them with better understanding. You have no right to say this is not allowed or not Islamic or anything. is that the verse about not asking questions concerning the religion? If so you have just said you CAN ask about religion but nothing thats not about religion. Please make things clear in your mind before you can expect anyone else to understand your meanings. When you went to school were you ridiculed for not knowing beforehand everything you went there to learn? No I dont think so. akida is not Deen akida is man made Religion

aha, so come to teach me . I am trying to but as always you think you know better about MY language as you do everything else. I didn't find the good word in english >>>>> try you(as a native speaker) this is the word in Arabic " ". This is more than one word in Arabic, which would you like me to find a word for? the first one you could use to abolish, destroy, abrogate, nullify, obliterate, conceal, transfer, substitute, copy, transcribe, rule out the second you could use to raise/uplift/elevate, extol, make it high/lofty, to bring forward, to take away, disappear, trace back, honour, show regard to, to introduce, refine, or 'make better' ;D No, it's not a change. As you like, but you will never learn anything if you continue to insist you know better all the time.

Dear Abdhun Nur Oh my God. The dead has spoken. I was wondering when the servant of confusion was going to make an appearance. Have you closed down the website yet? 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me'. Do you have any concept what the above phrase means? No, it does not mean that the ice cream van is down the street and I need a dollar to get one otherwise the moon is going to bounce on earth and just miss my house! Buddy. Don't hate. Give your partner in crime a hand, or get back into the straitjacket. Peace

I think that this Surah has a connection with Fatiha. Where Fatiha is the opening, An-Nas is the closing (not just in order). With Fatiha, we get a very big, majestic introduction to Allah. 12 Praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds. 13 The Almighty, the Merciful. 14 Sovereign of the Day of Judgment. Move in to Surah 2 and we read 22 This is the Scripture in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous. From there we receive divine guidance from our Lord and in the end it is personalized to us, the people, Mankind. 1141 Say "I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind," 1142 "King of mankind," 1143 "god of mankind" Very beautiful showing Allah is the creator, sustainer, and master of the entire universe and all existence, but with all that for mankind specifically, showing we hold a special place with the almighty. First Chapter begins with a universal proclamation, voluntarily made by the people http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.01.with%20no%20bmp.gif Beginning is with Allah's personal name Ar'Reh'maan Who is The Fountain of Infinite Mercy. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.02.gif The Infinite Glory and Praise eternally is entirely and exclusively for Allah, the Sustainer Lord of the Known/Existing Worlds. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.03.gif The Sustainer Lord of the Worlds is Ar'Reh'maan Who is Infinitely Merciful. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.04.gif Ar'Reh'maan is the Master/the Sovereign/Holder of the Day of Resurrection/Judgment. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.05%20o.gif You are the Only Whom we solely and exclusively owe allegiance and servitude and You are exclusively the One we look for help to elevate ourselves. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.06.gif You guide us on the Straight/Even Path leading to destination; http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/001.%20Al%20Fateha/01.07.gif the path journeyed by those upon whom You showered blessings which is other than of those who made themselves liable to criminal cognizance/arrest and nor is that adopted by the neglectful wanderers. In response to our prayer the Qur'aan begins with introduction that it is the Guide for Mutaqeen, i.e. those who are cautious and heedful and restrain from conducting in unrestrained manner. And at the end, final advice is given.
