Dear GODSubmitter, That's what I mean. The Submitter way of Rashad Khailifa is just the same as the standard Islamic Salat, but without the names of the Prophet (SAW)etc.. However this other form seems radically different in a few ways... any other ideas form others?

Of course He has! He has left it up to us to use our reason and intellect to the best of our ability and to follow and apply the Quran in our lives to the best of our ability and understanding, with sincerity. I think that is a big part of our Test - to follow others without knowledge or understanding or to follow only that with which we have a reasonable understanding of for ourselves. If that is only twice? Then do that. If you find 3 times, then do that and if you find 5 then do that too and put your trust in God and always be willing to listen to other points of view and understandings to keep learning. i like it so much ) thanks for your wise words

329 Say, "Whether you hide what is in your chests or reveal it, God knows." He knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; and God is capable of all things. Does it really matter? What really matters is the intention. There are so many sects because of trivial arguments over the details how to do certain things. Just follow your intuition and do something that makes sense. jusb be honest man' jedi

2177 Righteousness is not to turn your faces towards the east and the west, but righteousness is one who acknowledges God and the Last Day, and the angels, and the book, and the prophets, and he gives money out of love to the near relatives, and the orphans, and the needy and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to free the slaves, and he observes the Contact prayer, and contributes towards betterment; and those who keep their pledges when they make a pledge, and those who are patient in the face of good and bad and during persecution. These are the ones who have been truthful, and they are the upright.

salaam/peace all, Please advise if you see any contradictions with this reasoning. Mohamed I think if you tried to verify this by way of cross-reference, you would run into trouble.

So I have read many posts in regards to 1726-29 which are (1726) And give the relative his due, and the poor, and the wayfarer; and do not waste excessively. (1727) Those who waste excessively are brothers to the devils, and the devil was to his Lord a rejecter. (172 And if you turn away from them to seek a mercy from your Lord which you desire, then say to them a gentle saying. (1729) And do not make your hand stingy by holding it to your neck, nor shall you lay it fully open so you become in despair and regret. As i've read many posts here, they have stated that "waste excessively" refers to overspending on the people previously mentioned in that verse. Follow that verse it states that those who do it are brothers of the devil. Now I got 3 questions 1)As I saw the words that make "waste excessively", I saw the two arabic words that made it up were tubadhir which stated that it meant spend and the other was tabdhran which meant wastefully. Thus comes out to Spend Wastefully. Does Waste Excessively translate more to spend wastefully? or spend excessively? Does "waste excessively" indeed refer only to those people mention? If it does mean "spend wastefully" instead of "spend excessively" how is it wasteful to spend to overspend on them? 3)In regards to 1727 now. If it does mean overspending on charity, how does it make one like the brother of the devil? Thanks ) I would think that it means spend excessively, and thus wasting your possession God Almighty purposely gave some people more than others, we should not try to "equalize" that and give all our money away. (1671, 302 I would think that the meaning of it would come out to as brother = like of.... thus wasting your possessions away is like the devil who is unappreciative as per 1727

Salam all, I apologise for my convoluted post above. I can get carried away sometimes. The root of is , here are the reasons In Arabic, there is never a at the end of a verb with a fat7a. Therefore, we never say , instead we say . This is because the Arabs found it easier to say 9allaa instead of 9allawa. is a noun in the singular form, it used to be , but the Arabs found it easier to say 9alaah instead of 9alawah. So when a noun with a 'hidden' is made into a plural, the is returned to its original place, so we end up with yu9alloo (&#1608 is a verb for a group of men. In Arabic, when a verb is used to refer to a group of men, we add a at the end of the verb. Also, (yu9alloo) used to be (yu9alliwoo) but it was changed because it was too hard to pronounce. This is a lot like saying "I'm gonna go" instead of "I'm going to go" because it's just easier to pronounce. I am not surprised that there has been confusion about the root of because it belongs to a class of verbs called (the weak verbs) - these particular verbs have some complicated morphological rules which govern their form depending on how they are used. So, the root of is . I hope that's easy to understand. Peace Usamah

No, salat isn't about remembrance or anything like that. Don't trust every translation you see. Actually don't trust most, use your reasoning too. Translations and the definition of words in arabic are corrupted by hadiths and are jewish/christianised. Here is my view in salat http//servantofthelight.com/content/view/22/49/ And are you going on a court or something? For what reason? Read this essay and know that if you're going to be punished for anything because of stupid man made laws you shouldn't feel guilty at all http//servantofthelight.com/content/view/162/236/ p.s for bad translations like words being translated into bowing, kneeling, prostrating, standing, for ablution etc... read some articles here mentalbondageinthenameofgod.wordpress.com Why does the essay keep saying "Allah(Not God)"?

That's one of the reasons why rituals can't be true... they're like, you know, rituals. Just my opinion Just because it is your opinion does not make it true. All through Al Quran, The God repeats verses, why? Because we are forgetful and need remindiing. There is nothing wrong with connecting to The God throughout the day. It helps us to remember The God. If it becomes ritualistic and feels like you are going through the motions, then change the way you connect with The God. Say something different each time. But I truly believe from what I read in Al Quran that connecting is an integral part of our commitment to The God.

Peace All The problem I see here is the assumption that there are only two options. This has resulted in splitting the usage rather than trying to find a consistent application of the concept of salat in Quran. Imraan

Did you know, the number of times in which sura al-Fatiha - Chapter- The Key, is recited throughout the day during salat is 17 times, there are 2 units for fajr, 4 for zohar, 4 for asr, 3 for maghrib, 4 for isha, in total 17 times, and did you know al-fatiha has 7 verses, and in this chapter the besmalah is actually counted as a verse, so 1 to 7, is all that is required to be recited when stood facing the Sacred Masjid, the Kaaba, in Mecca, and also if you put and 1 and 7 together, then you get the total number of units in salat during the day, 17. Wow, I read a long article by Pierre, but do not know if it was his, but he did not mention this point. Which is a proof. Seven days, first a test of light and darkness, second, a question of good and evil, third- competition of right and wrong, fourth- karma of help and harm, fifth-pain of ease and hardship, sixth-duty of beauty and despicable, seven- care of rest and destroy. Seven days in which God created the earth, and there are seven verses in the first chapter of the Quran, and there are 17 units which are performed throughout the day for the contact prayer, salat, in which al fatiha is recited with every unit. Peace A Submitter Shalom, Number of units = Number of Recitation When you recite Chapter 1 in every unit, what else do you expect ? Let me give you another example if it helps clarify my statement Do you know that I shit 15 times in a month, I flush every time I shit. Now if you add the number of times I flush Day 1 of shitting = 1 time Day 2 of shitting = 1 time Day 3 of shitting = 1 time Day 4 of shitting = 1 time Day 5 of shitting = 1 time Day 6 of shitting = 1 time Day 7 of shitting = 1 time Day 8 of shitting = 1 time Day 9 of shitting = 1 time Day 10 of shitting = 1 time Day 11 of shitting = 1 time Day 12 of shitting = 1 time Day 13 of shitting = 1 time Day 14 of shitting = 1 time Day 15 of shitting = 1 time Total = 15 times. I shit 15 times and I flush 15 times PRECISELY ) Subhanallah !!! Did you know that ? Similarly when you deliberately recite a chapter ONLY ONCE per unit, it is no miracle that the end result will be that the number of recitation=number of unit. For the later part You see my friend. In mathematics, you cant assume 1+1=2 for the first part of your miracle and 1+1=11 for the later part. You are not allowed to change it. The way you added the number of units is mathematical, the way you counted "1+7=17" is not mathematical. So, the end result can not be in any circumstance compared with the first part where "1+7" was equal to "8". "Seven days in which God created the Earth" ?? 754 Your Lord is God who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He settled upon the Throne. The night runs away from the day, which seeks it continually; and the sun and the moon and the stars are commissioned by His command; to Him is the creation and the command. Glory to God, Lord of the worlds 103 Your Lord is God who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He settled upon the Throne; He manages all affairs. There is no intercessor except after His permission. Such is God your Lord, so serve Him. Would you not remember? 117 He is the One who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, and His Throne was upon the water; so as to test who from among you works the best. And when you say "You will be resurrected after the death," those who have rejected say "This is but clear magic!" 2559 The One who has created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, then He settled upon the Throne. The Almighty; so ask Him for He is Expert. 324 God is the One who has created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them in six days, then He settled upon the Throne. You do not have besides Him any Lord, nor intercessor. Will you not then remember? 5038 And We have created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and no fatigue touched Us. 574 He is the One who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He settled upon the Throne. He knows everything that enters within the earth, and everything that comes out of it, and everything that comes down from the heaven, and everything that ascends into it. And He is with you wherever you may be. God is Seer of what you do 419 Say You are rejecting the One who has created the earth in two days, and you set up equals with Him. That is the Lord of the worlds Therefore, Starting to End = 6 Days Just The Earth = 2 Days where does the "Created the earth in 7 Days" fit in ? Take no offence if I am overdoing it. Forgive me if you can. PEACE -------------- Student of Allah
