    Mazhar,

Actually I have not even a slightest doubt that he was there Physically (without body may be).
My point of concern is 5 and 6.

    Mazhar

Who is the Mightiest in Power and the Possessor of Eternity? Allah alone, NOT anyone else.

Offcourse it He is Allah, but some one can be mightiest in his own group, like group of angels etc.

    In Surah Takweer
That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger,Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne,

If not how will you tackle the problem in this verse?

you are totally and absolutely off this planet

Realize and accept the greatness and elevated position of the Messenger of Allah, who was sent as Mercy Personified, Muhammad you will start living in the entire temporal realm and on the Day of Resurrection he will act as helping authority to take us beyond the ultimate horizon of this Universe to join the successful people.

Mazhar, see a doctor, you have passed the realm of sanity. I am sitting here with my mouth open, I cannot believe what I am reading. Satan has whispered in your ear way too much and sent you completely insane, off your rocker, OTT. I have seen these exact words with the name Jesus in the place of Muhammed from the born again followers of the man-god. get help!

Close your mouth then, it may cause something unwelcome happen.
I just can't see your problem here, why do you think that Space travel is some thing new? Ayisha it is just because you have not read and understood Quran without Prejudice.

Rules All the cosmic affair from the heavens to the Earth. Then this affair travels to Him a distance in one day, at a measure of one thousand years of what you count. 325

          and

the angels and the Soul ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years.

Will you not believe then? Off course You will not, cause Allah has made them Blind, Deaf and Dumb.

            Raajah,

I am so pleased with this inquisitive and critical style of study. is the subject of verb/the doer of act stated, evodent from nominative vowel. And this is not comparative but superlative. While in genitive case is adjective, having strength from....

And I hope you will notice the beauty and truth from all angles in the use of Passive verb since all that he said orally was not received/communicated to him directly by Allah.

Please don't put opinion in parentheses. Heart and mind is the part of physical body. And so are the eyes with which one sees. On the Day of Resurrection ordinary people will cross the doors of sky with physical bodies.

                Peace Ayisha

peace I do think you should contact all translators of Quran past and present and inform them you have learnt Arabic yourself and have re-translated Quran into English and they are all wrong. Also contact all mosques to inform all sunni muslims they are using the incorrect wording of sallalahualayhiwaslam and it should be sallalahualayhiwasllim. DO something instead of sitting here preaching, get out there and correct everyone NOW before it's too late, DO NOT be of those that hide the message. peace

If Mazhar goes chanting "sallalahualayhiwasllim" into any mosque with Arabic speakers they will think that he is crazy or doesn't know Arabic and therefore is mispronouncing it. Mazhar refuses to directly and honestly translate "sallalahualayhiwasllim" because he knows that it would expose his nonsense. He is also not doing it because I told him to translate it and he is stubborn and doesn't want to appear weak for doing what I told him to do. So he doesn't really care about the truth or correcting anything and all that he cares about is his ego. His own attitude is proof that parroting this "sallalahualayhiwasllim" nonsense doesn't help or guide anyone or achieve anything. It is just for show like all hypocrites.

                Peace,

                Ayman

physical means bodily, you cant be somewhere physically without your body

If 5 is Allah, then it is Allah that appeared in 6.

                      Peace Ayisha, Mazhar, all,

is a personal pronoun for third person, singular, masculine and refers to the person mentioned earlier Muhammad Muhammad and can never be construed to relate to anyone else if some one knows the basics of Arabic.

It is one thing to propose something no matter if it is false or true but to say it in the same breath with such rhetoric as "can never be construed to relate to anyone else if some one knows the basics of Arabic" then this cannot be construed as anything other than masking the fact that what the person was saying was stupid.

I would suggest reading the whole passage and not cutting it short (as usual for Mazhar) to understand who the pronoun refers to. Again, using Mazhar's own translation

and he was at the Upper most horizon
afterwards he approached near whereby he came close
                      with the result that/thereby he was at a distance of two bow-lengths or even less than that;
whereupon He communicated personally to His Sincere Allegiant that which He communicated.

It is clear from the passages even in English that the refers to the same one who did all the above, including "He communicated". I doubt that Mohamad communicated to himself. In Arabic this fact is even clearer.

                      Peace,

                      Ayman

                              You have publicly contradicted these

When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy!

(The answer will be) "This is because, when Allah was invoked as the Only (object of worship), ye did reject Faith, but when partners were joined to Him, ye believed! the Command is with Allah, Most High, Most Great!"

The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say "We hear, and we obey (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say) "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.

                              peace

I know you are not stupid to that extent that you do not understand that a new sentence has started with "Fa" and "He " is the subject of the verb not referring to earlier noun. And the object of the verb is possessive phrase to whom He commuicated. So you are a cheat.

When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy!

(The answer will be "This is because, when Allah was invoked as the Only (object of worship), ye did reject Faith, but when partners were joined to Him, ye believed! the Command is with Allah, Most High, Most Great!"

Till yesterday you were saying that if the message was sent through donkey etc you would have believed in the message, i.e. you would have not given importance and care to that donkey but to the message. Now you are saying that witnessing and mentioning the fact that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah is like calling him gods other than Allah. This was also the argument of the cheat and Munafiq of 20th century, Rashad Khalifa.

But what about your star trek

Oh Ayman read on dear bro, we have given up on that and added many more words to the chant which I am to say loudly thrice! to prove I am a star trek fan and we are now on space travel to dying stars 20 trillion miles from earth. a mindless chant that cannot be translated has taken a back seat as he hoped it would.

would sincerely appreciate your views on this latest star travel subject of chapter 53.

Aymen I call you cheat always with proof for Arabic understanding members and guests of the forum.

I noticed that in your interactions not just with me but with others you use big words like "always" and "never" (as in "can never be construed to relate to anyone else if some one knows the basics of Arabic" ) too casually. Carelessly using such fancy absolutist words is usually the sign of weak mind who lacks logic.

I know you are not stupid to that extent that you do not understand that a new sentence has started with "Fa" and "He " is the subject of the verb not referring to earlier noun. I wish I could also say that I know that you are not stupid but unfortunately this is hard when you do not realize that the "fa" (whereupon) provides the link to the preceding clauses and it is not completely unrelated to what is preceding it. Your translation is actually not bad

and he was at the Upper most horizon
afterwards he approached near whereby he came close
                                    with the result that/thereby he was at a distance of two bow-lengths or even less than that;
whereupon He communicated personally to His Sincere Allegiant that which He communicated.

Are you saying that your translation is false? Are you fooling those poor "English people"?

                                    Peace,

                                    Ayman

The above is not ME saying anything, the above is ALLAH saying it. If it makes you feel itchy, you should ask yourself why.

As for my donkey, or tree or mountain, the importance I would give them is that they had delivered this message, but I would not keep on and on trying to prove my donkey, or tree or mountain were something super human for doing this and I would look inside the box at the great present they had delivered as that is what the important thing would be that Allah wanted me to have, not the donkey or the tree or the mountain and that is what makes you itchy and that's why those verses apply to you.

But what about your star trek

what about it? You are the one saying that Muhammed was 20 trillion miles off up in space to see this greatest of God's signs and cannot comprehend that God's signs are here and can be brought here at the mere mention by Him. He even didnt take Moses off to space to speak to him, He did it right on earth behind a bush, but Moses undersood very well who it was speaking to him.

Also, Gabriel had already been introduced to Muhammed as it was Gabriel that was the messenger Angel who brought all messages from Allah to His prophets and messengers, so Gabriel is not necessarily the Greatest Sign that was the apparition on the horizon. According to your understanding of verses 5 and 6, which raj asked you about and I haven't seen an answer, maybe I missed it, then it is Allah Himself that was seen, because whatever is in verses 5 and 6 is what is on the horizon.

                                        Rajah

Actually I have not even a slightest doubt that he was there Physically (without body may be).

                                        Ayisha

physical means bodily, you cant be somewhere physically without your body

If some is at some place with his Brain and soul, but without body, is still called a Physical presence, in my opinion.

                                          No thats a spiritual presence

                                          Physical means body,
a man is physically stronger than a woman as they have more muscle in their body

Now you are trying to understand spiritual and physical you may understand the night journey in a different way and not as a physical but a spiritual journey.
