Maybe the Arabs knew where Mecca was easier than where Jerusalem was. But anyways where do you know what the first Qibla was if Jerusalem is never mentioned?

Whether it first qibla was in Jerusaleum or somewhere else ,it does not matter.Let us suppose it was any qibla "X" .Whatsoever it was it was ordered by Allah according to this verse.

    2143
This verse clearly shows He was having 'some qibla by the order of Almight Allah' before it was changed.

This is not a question of my understanding.Quranic sentence is crystal clear to explain its meaning.Look at the Verse again and again ,no ambiguity at all .

      salam brother Allen

what i am asking is that you share your understanding. if you think something is crystal clear, please explain it.

i do not object to anyone's point of view, but i think the debate degrades when it becomes personal; we are all here to learn, and nothing is achieved by interrogation or by attempting to prove any participant's lack of knowledge or intelligence.

please think about your style of argument. i encountered the exact same kind of debate on sunni fora, where it would take someone over 10 pages of questioning just to make one point, which could have been made plain by simply putting forward a constructive argument.

      thank you.

      salam

i agree the verse clearly indicates a previous qibla, but is it clear that whether that previous qibla was ordained by God?

YUSUFALI Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful.
PICKTHAL Thus We have appointed you a middle nation, that ye may be witnesses against mankind, and that the messenger may be a witness against you. And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger, from him who turneth on his heels. In truth it was a hard (test) save for those whom Allah guided. But it was not Allah's purpose that your faith should be in vain, for Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful toward mankind.
SHAKIR And thus We have made you a medium (just) nation that you may be the bearers of witness to the people and (that) the Messenger may be a bearer of witness to you; and We did not make that which you would have to be the qiblah but that We might distinguish him who follows the Messenger from him who turns back upon his heels, and this was surely hard except for those whom Allah has guided aright; and Allah was not going to make your faith to be fruitless; most surely Allah is Affectionate, Merciful to the people.

Can't you stop re-posting the same verse, and write you own ideas, just for a change? We can read it. If we do not find the answer within it in the first time, we won't find it the second time either.

Just to show to ignoramus that God's command for first qibla is in the same Verse.

Quite fairly said, If one doesnot want to see NO body can let him/her see, even the WORD OF GOD.

Why do not they find the answer in Quranic verses even when these are
                  -detailed

In every single one of your posts Leo, you have an agenda. Might want to visit the concept of 'learning' and 'studying'

Why do they not study the Quran carefully? If it were from other than GOD, they would have found in it numerous contradictions.

The quran SAYS it is clearly explained, detailed, and a clear explanation of everything. The quran says this, not me, not dargento, not free-minds; the quran does. You can choose to accept that or reject that, your choice. It's as simple as that.

Maybe there is no exact answer. After all the rituals are a means to an end and not the end.

The quran says it is complete, clearly explained, detailed, a clear explanation for everything and specifically warns against following other ahadith other than the quran. This is simply fact. No way of getting around this, sorry. Please note that looking at a document for historical information does not mean we should take it as divine guidance/law. This is simply fact. No way of getting around this, sorry.
