Quran 9/19 Have you made the providing of water for the pilgrim and the maintenance of al-Masjid al-Haram equal to one who believes in Allah and the Last Day and strives in the cause of Allah ? They are not equal in the sight of Allah . And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. What are those two actions that are not equal? peace I recommend the summary section of http//mypercept.co.uk/articles/meaning-hajj-Quran.html This effort of yours is of no use to these people because they are deaf dumb and not able to understand. they are not interested in Quran but in the man made hadith. They will execute Hajj as per the nonsense of the Hadith Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason. (Al-Anfaal 22)

Peace Just ran into this treat. Wasn`t it not just Jerusalem? I recommend From http//mypercept.co.uk/articles/meaning-masjid-al-haram-Quran.html Key AMAH=al masjid al haram CAD=classical arabic dictionaries change of qiblah - an understanding based on Quran The information we can extract about the meaning of "qiblah", and the change, from these verses is as follows -this new change is in some way related to guiding to a straight/establishing path, and making the believers a balanced/moderate community -the qiblah which they were on was a great test (i.e. difficult), except those God guided, and their belief in such was not going to be for nothing -in this case the qiblah happens to be AMAH, but there are potentially many other qiblah, as individuals could have their own qiblah -in 2148 the usage of "wherever" is the ONLY time it appears without a close link to "turn+wajh+AMAH" therefore likens "wijhatun (direction/course/goal)" with "qiblah" and consequently likens AMAH to "race to the good" or at least we can say AMAH involves this. Furthermore, AQ implies each person may have their own "qiblah" in 2145 then later in 2148 says "for each is a wijhatun he turns towards it", strongly suggesting "qiblah" and "wijhatun" are being related as similar terms/concepts. Please re-read these verses as this is a key finding. -the effects of this change will be less debate from the people, lead to God completing His favour, aid guiding, and bringing you all together. -wherever one is they should turn their wajh/purpose/consideration in the direction of AMAH, and from the contexts that likley involves being oriented towards the truth of your Lord, the good, and uniting of believers To me, "turning one's wajh in the sky" in 2144 comes across as an idiom, so whilst it could be literally translated as "turning one's face IN the sky" it is implying one is directionless, aimless, floating/blowing in the wind, i.e. no plan/goal to progress, looking/searching for a way/resolution. Interestingly it is listed in 'Verbal Idioms of Quran' by Mustansir Mir but explained as he turned his face towards the heaven so often that it is added emphasis to say his face was IN the heaven, even though it literally is not. Perhaps, but that does not change the fact that it is taken by all to mean he was seeking guidance. The new qiblah resolves this, and is also pleasing, implying a possible easing of argumentation/hostility for the believers, which would tie in with "no debate against you". As a side note, the only other use of "wly/turn" in these verses other than "turn+wajh" is 2148 "...he turns towards it (wijhatun/course/goal)", which is primarily figurative and not taken physical-directional by anyone. This may help indicate the type of turning being referred to in these verses. Based on the above, usage of the root QBL in AQ, CAD meanings, and the only other occurrence of "qiblah" in 1087, in terms of likelihood for the meaning of "qiblah", in my view, are focal-point - focus/centre of interest or activity direction - general aim or purpose; a general way in which someone/something is developing point-of-approach - a way in which to approaching something counteraction - to oppose and mitigate the effects of by contrary action

Please read your post and give it a serious thinking. Do you seriously believe that these stories have anything to do with DEEN of Allah? Please think over them once again with sincerity and ask yourself - does it make any sense and does the Lord of the Aalameen really want us to do all this for the sake of ............what? hmm

It doesn?t really matter. I was simply pointing out the fact that some critics of the Quran have rushed to the unfounded claim that the figure of Abraham, revered by the three so-called ?monotheistic faiths? , was adopted from the Brahma of Vedic/Hindu culture. If one was truly adopted from the other, it is most probably the opposite case. There are Brahma and Brahman within Vedistic/Hindustani culture. I deliberately avoid the use of "Hindu/Hinduism" as Hinduism consist of hundreds if not thousands of totally different belief/sect and still growing. Brahma http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahma Brahman http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahman Brahma is nowhere to be found in "Veda", while Brahman is. Brahma might be originated from Abraham, due to the similarity of the wife's name, Sarasvati, (A pun from Sara?). During his lifetime, Abraham open up a free hotel for traveler, presumably located somewhere in Canaan / today Israel/Palestine, it's not far fetched to guess that among his 'guest' were Hindustani traveler / merchant, on journey for doing trade with their local partner the Phonecian in Sidon. Back home, they tell the story of "This pious man named Abraham and his wife Sara", which become legends, and legends give birth to myths of a deity named Brahma and Sarasvati.. A pilgrim in Jerusalem was once asked by a reporter "Do you really feel closer to God when you stand there?" The pilgrim's reply was "No, I just feel I'm close to a brick wall". Finally an honest pilgrim ) I've met another honest pilgrim which retold the same story after visiting Kabba.. ) This is an irrelevent question, because the true Hajj, as desribed in the Quran, is no longer appliccable today. This is because there is not one nation on this Earth that is trully applying the Deen and living by its code. What we have today is a freakshow of pagan rituals. They have made a mockery out of everything related to Hajj. The Saudis have surrounded their alledged "holiest place on Earth" by Masonic-design skyscrapers and 5-star hotels that very few people will be able to afford. They have made their so-called "Kaabah" an insignificant little dot next to the giant towers around it. In these circumstances, one can care least where the correct place is. The location becomes irrelevent once you see what they have done to the actual meaning...the substance of it. Regards. Old habits dies hard, tradition is hard to change... The Kabba and the gathering of people towards it is an income source for the surrounding people around the Kabba.. However I didn't say that it's forbidden either.. But it's ridiculous if the Kabaist insist ALL people all around the earth MUST come to Kabba.. otherwise they shall be burn in Hell ??? (Forced Tourism, backed with threat and terror) Just like you said, location is irrelevant.. And all people all around the globe have their own tradition and location to celebrate "Thanksgiving".. Salam / Peace

Oh dear. Do you realise aqsa and qisas are different roots? Can you tell the forum how many times you have mistaken roots when making comments about Quran? I wasn't talking about any roots , but giving a vague picture of an example. Moses's story is a good example Almasjid Alharam to Almasjid Alaqsa - going from haram goings on to stand for the right cause is blessed indeed. You are supposed to deter/prevent people committing evil deeds and even fight them if they then attack you. It happens all over the world. peace

Salaam, God preserved the Quran, but we are unable to interpret it properly. Is that not ironic? It is probably a test or God would make sure that the correct understanding of Quran was always possible without hassle. Still, thanks to some wise brains part of the true nature of God's Book is available, although much remains to be understood. But as far as I understand we just have to fulfill the three main parameters I always go on about for salvation. Exact understanding is not mandatory as long as we believe in God and remain righteous as well as believing in the eternity of existence. Association of partners with God is the major trap for people, not much else and which keeps people away from Heaven, plus the behavioral part of course we should not forget. These two parameters are the traps for people. God bless you

Peace al-amiyr. 1- should we establish or erect a replica ka'baH on the moon to maintain the symbolical qibla?, or 2- should we discard the practice of having a centralized point because it no longer applies? According to my understanding of the great reading the qibla/focus prescribed by the god has never been a physical direction. Instead we shall focus ourselves towards good deeds. That's pretty much the gist of it.

The greatest day of it has taken place then, but this doesn't mean hajj doesn't take place in the rest of the restricted period. Please take into your considerations that shahr may also mean full moon. This understanding leads to the follwowing schedule 1st full moon-->the greatest day of the hajj / day of the greatest hajj ...1 month... 2nd full moon ...1 month... 3rd full moon ...1 month... 4th full moon-->end of the restricted period This makes a total period of 3 restricted month. This would fall in line with Aymen's theory on Shahr/fullmoon Ramamdan being 10 days, then 2189 speaks of the new moons/l-ahilati as indicators of periods/mawqtu for the greatest day of the hajj / day of the greatest hajj.

Its a hard case to fight against, do you preserve the old or remove it completely? The problem with removing completely is there is no real turning back from that, on the other hand preserving or rebuilding slides you closer to creating a culture around specific people or buildings rather than its historical value. I have a serious problem with the Abraj Al Bait Towers, its not that I think the 18th century fortress should have been preserved, or that the towers fulfil some kind of doomsday prophecy of the day of Judgement, what bothers me that they built a luxury hotel smack next to the Masjid al-Haram big enough that if it were ever to fall down the wrong way it would be enough to utterly destroy it. The fact that it started being built after September 11th 2001 is even more worrying. I've heard, although can't confirm, that the prices of this hotel effectively stop most of the Muslim world's population (and even people living in Saudiland) from taking advantage due to the degree of wage distribution. As something of a history buff, I lean towards preservation, but to be careful not to make something grander than it actually is.

...so people who know more of life will always understand it better - don't you think? Not "always", but certainly life-experience can be useful, as I highlight here http//www.quran434.com/study-method.html Life-experience is only one aspect of many aspects one should consider, e.g. Quranic grammar, which may prevent one from turning nouns into verbs, singular into plurals etc as in your translation for example. I find some people get lost in the details and can't see the wood for the trees Of course that can happen, but so can the converse, i.e. a person may think they have the general idea of a verse, but pay little attention to the details which may prove to be important. But of course, determining importance of the detail can only be done by weighing of evidence, e.g. your translation comes with no accompanying evidence whatsoever, so not much determining can be done there.

Peace @wrkmmn Jesus's words are pointing to worship God in spirit. John 424 "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." Jesus said the time was coming for a different kind of worship Jn 421-24 Where worship would not be defined by its location (though Jews had been right) Where true worshippers would worship the Father in spirit and truth Yet note the contrast made by Jesus... a. The Jews had worshipped correctly by going to Jerusalem b. But the time was coming when place would not be important -- A contrast is being made between OT worship and NT worship WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT MEANS TO OFFER "SPIRITUAL" WORSHIP... In contrast to that which is mostly physical Peace

peace you monotheist and reformist always disrespecting mecca and the Kabba. Read this from the words of Jesus. JOHN 419-21 19 ?Sir,? the woman said, ?I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.? 21 ?Woman,? Jesus replied, ?believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem So if not in jerusalem then where? A Muslim would say Mecca, but you reformist and monotheist, where do you say God should be worshiped? The Kaaba in Mecca is geographically posotined by the golden ratio or what some scientist call the fingerprint of God. Check this video. http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD2323zkQUM
