Who Was the Pharoah of Moses
-
The question now is, if it was fifteen years of action plan based on interpretation on the dream of the Ruler and it worked, which must surely have been a momentous event, how come it's not recorded in the history of Egypt, and why do some, who insist that Misr refers to Egypt, not consider such an omission worth investigation.
Has the entire history of Egypt been unearted? Have anybody as yet arrived at a solid-no more debateable conclusion about so many things already discovered or recovered?
For history, Qur'aan lays down a principle. Just know that some incident did happen, do not go and look for microscopic details to waste your own and other's time by throwing arrows in darkness.

One Fact is that The Quran states that the BODY of Phar3oon will be, i would put it as "preserved"
Second is that Pharoah must of ruled a Kingdom, not just a city. Pharoah had Cities under his hand, to where he needed to send messengers to warn people in his cities about moses, and his group of believers. -
In response to the dream of the Ruler, He is giving them not only interpretation of it but also an action plan for about 15 years. The first seven years they will keep continuously harvesting the crops . There is no mention of rain or no rain. The adverb shows continuity--all crops of all seasons. Thereafter he predicts arrival of seven years, and informs about their nature, adjectival description as hard, tough--. Here too, with reference to these seven years there is no mention or relevance of rain or no rain. He further tells them a new technique of storage of crops, to leave the grains in the shoots. That is the only way to sustain the grains for longer period spreading over 7-14 years.
How one will bring in "rain" in the 15th year?
Very good observation.

What has been unearthed so far are many Egyptian rulers that Egyptologists claim
bore the title of Pharaoh. The Qur'an on the other hand only refers to one person as Firawn.
We are led to believe that Yosuff(as) was in Egypt, but so far there is no record of Yousuff (as) in what has been unearthed.
Could you please summarise what has been unearthed, so far, which supports the notion that Egypt is indeed the Misr of the Qur'an?Have anybody as yet arrived at a solid-no more debateable conclusion about so many things already discovered or recovered?
Exactly! so why attack Pazzuzu for something debatable ???

It is in the Qur'an where we get the accounts of Yousuff (as) including the dream scenario, but you are suggesting that we regard it as just a story in the Quran and not ponder upon it anymore, especially if its linked to Egypt, a country renowned for its detailed recordings, including even the shape of the stool of the ruler?!

Can you please quote where he said so?
Reply 74 You mention the word "Yughthu". This is derived from "Ghayth". And the word apperas many times in the Quran in the context of RAIN..................
So although I agree with you that "ghayth" or "igathah" is the general term for "help or aid", however, as you can see, the context of the above verses clearly indicates rain

Believers know it with certainity and conviction that he was there where was subsequently Musa alahissalam and was Pharaoh.
Ponder over his loud thinking.
Is this evidence not sufficient to believe?

I think you have misunderstood RK. The root R-SH-D is mentioned 19 times in the Quran. With the calculations of RK, of his Gematrical Value according to Arabic Abgad counting, he found that in some instances when he added the value of his name to the Sura # and verse #, that the number was divisable by 19). Again, his theory is behind the number 19.
HOpe that clears things upMoreover, there will always be messengers amongst us (children of Adam & Jinns) as long our species exist! Mohammed was not the Last Messenger, He was the Last Prophet.
Even from your own verse,
after it is statesThe word Kazalik("like this" signifies a SYSTEM, meaning THIS/THAT will ALWAYS happen.

Why are you trying to drag in RK to derail this thread? What has RK got to do with anything and who are you to tell us what believers believe?! -
Yes, good exercise, might help remove clots.

Actually you do not follow the Quran otherwise you would not participate in this thread and wasting everyone's time. You're of those who say one thing but do the opposite, something that Allah hates.

Salaam,
If interpretations, and transient imperfect human (often times unproven or unprovable) analysis's are more important to us than Allah's truth and His guidance, we are in deep trouble...
The sooner one is invested into a model, a map, a paradigm that provides possibilities out of many, and it is shirk... let us not get attached to any particular scenario... and base our faith on what has been clearly revealed...
Events in this world are finite with a short shelf life and will be scrapped and turned into dust on JD...
So bickering about them with interpretations is useless and leads to strife and aggressivity, with self righteousness thrown in which is Satan's weapon of deceit and guile...
If Allah wills, the events in the Quran which did happen and have physicality, He will show us where exactly these events took place, and if that time comes, then we will have no recourse but to accept the fact...
What is at issue now is that it might be the case that now Allah is unravelling the answers, and we must be careful not to be blind and faithless to close our minds to other possibilities than the status quo, especially if this status quo is proven to be baseless or even worse a blatant lie...
In any event, this is how I approach it - refusing to acknowledge that something is true, and saying it is false while the evidence is piling that proves it is actually true is lack of faith in Allah's Signs and as we know leads to kufr and hell...
Why should it bother me that Egypt is not Misr, and that all events described in the Quran happened in South West Arabia up to Yathrib?
If it was the case then so be it... if it was not, one never loses from inquiring into one's past and learning from the Signs that Allah showers on us day and night (which is a kind of Ighatha ) -
What is bad from/for my soul is to cling to false interpretations just because it is more comfortable for me to do so, or that I gain from it, as an individual or a tribe/group...

Margaret S. King
......Archaeology has proven their stories to be fabrications. When I examined the Quran?s versions, there was no bigotry and there was no slander. What a difference!
So I decided to closely examine the Quran?s versions of the stories of the prophets, and found language that was often not Arabic. It is so straightforward and honest, that the unsuspecting reader might never grasp why we are being given such information that sometimes seems trivial....
So where was the Exodus? It was in southern Iraq, and it took place around 4,400 years ago. Abraham (whose real name was Ibrahim), lived in southern Iraq, in Ur, and that is where the pharaohs settled long after Abraham, his sons, and grandsons had ceased to live. In their time period, the rulers were called ?kings,? not pharaohs. However, Joseph and the descendants of the tribes lived in Mesopotamia, and eventually traveled throughout Asia and the Fertile Crescent over thousands of years. After the era of Joseph, a civilization of pharaohs settled for a few centuries in southern Mesopotamia, and it is there that they persecuted the beni Isra?il who were enslaved by them. The time frame was between 2700 and 2400 B.C.E.
Pharaoh thought he could defy the God of the beni Isra?il, whose name was Allah. Contrary to what most Arabs will argue, Allah is not Arabic for ?God.? Allah is the real name of God, and that is evident in the archaeological record.
...The pharaohs of today?s Egypt recorded the memory of that tragedy in the school books of their children for 800 years, bemoaning their loss in the land of their ?origin.? The Quran confirms what we find in the written archaeological record. What does that tell you? Today?s Egypt was only a small part of what was once a greater Egypt that extended beyond its borders....
The evidence as a whole leads to the inevitable conclusion that the civilization we refer to as ?Egyptian? once covered a vast terrain between today?s Egypt and areas as far as the Indus Valley, the location of another vast river. The Nile, the Euphrates, the Tigris, the Karun, and the Indus (today?s Pakistan) all experienced the kings of early Egypt and the pharaohs of later Egypt long before they were confined to today?s Egypt.....
The truth is always revolutionary. It has the capability of turning our world upside down.http//susianapress.wordpress.com/

Re. Margaret S. King's interpretations - these were posted by herbman a while ago...
of course it is possible...
pazuzu is giving another option, let us read it,
you can start another thread for Margaret S. King's... or continue on herbman's...
Salaam bro Nabil
I too got this from a list of sites, given by a member here, and I pasted it here for all those who continue to hold Egypt as Misr and claim that Pazuzu is deluded .
Like many others on this site I am anxiously looking forward to more information as, unlike Margret S. King, Pazuzu gives abundant references from the Quran
