All religions are okay?

Simple is pointing to 30/31-32 to say that 'segmenting people is shirk'. This is incorrect. 30/32 says 'farraqoo DEENAHUM' which means they split their DEEN and become 'shiya' or parties, each party is rejoicing with what they have. In order words, these people take the incomplete teachings of God and are happy with that. This is different from people who take the whole deen (and thus dont farraqoo deenahum) and judge people according to that.
When they split people or rather whom they should oblige simply by labeling them (as the baddies) without them having done nothing wrong is what i meant-is also shirk.

Hmm, that's not what it says in 30/31-32. Please correct me if im wrong.

I agree that Christ himself isn't the partner but that's not the point here. You claimed that shirk isn't associating partners with God but rather segmenting mankind. This is clearly false. Please see the article Wakas posted.
Associating dead people as partners of God - as long as that doesn't lead us going in opposition to the peaceful nature he wants us to have isn't shirk- i think, its when our actions go against the very nature of God we come into the realm of Shirk.

The first commandment says (in the bible) "I am the Lord thy God, you shall have no other gods before me". Surly, if you put someone (anyone) on a level with God then you have broken that commandment?

Disagreed. 16/86 When those who gave partners to Allah will see their "partners", they will say "Our Lord! these are our 'partners,' those whom we used to invoke besides Thee..
Here it's very clear that if you call for other than Allah (and we can debate what 'nad'3uu' min doonika' means too) then whom you call for (they must be dead since they're seeing them for the first time AFTER the hour) will considered 'partners with Allah'.
I think you're not taking the concept in full. Selective reading of the ayaat.

Yeah fine, so spliitng your obligations is fine. Still doesn't mean 'segmenting MANKIND'.

Yes , and putting a dead person on a level with God doesn't do anything at all.
But when you obey other then the God what or who ever you are obeying is who you are putting on a level footing wit God.
You are not obeying any body dead you cannot obey them, they cannot lead you astray, so has nothing to do with the dead person.

Yes everybody will be dead that day, but when they called them they where alive, and so both will now burn in the fire.

Splitting people up who you can and who you won't fulfill your obligations to.........without any bad conduct on their part is shirk.

So Jesus will be in the fire? Because ppl DURING HIS TIME called him god and he never corrected them?

Yeah that would be shirk, correct but that's not the point of 30/31-32, sorry.
-
Well that is one of the problems. People DURING his time did not call him god. It was only after a couple of hundred years.
Well i dunno if they did (i dont use history to engage with Quran) but if they did, he'd have corrected them.

bravo I'll bet it was the work of constantine that corrupted christianity.

of course people during his time never called him God , its the people after him started teaching people such nonsense........ peace

Abdal you only make others partners of God is when you start obeying their commands- which are against the nature of God.
And no prophet ever would give such an order- i think, so they cannot be partners to God.
So no prophet ever makes a sect but that which is between Goodness and badness.
So they will not burn.
It is others who may say the prophet said so and so and mislead you are the partners with God.
Good hunting. peace

Is it true that Constantine accepted Christianity on his deathbed?

Is it true that Constantine accepted Christianity on his deathbed?
That is one story. The other is that he accepted it and made it the official Roman religion. He is credited with the building of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and Old Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome
