As salamu alaykum wr wb. Respectfully. I do agree that we should strive to help all those who really need help, but at the same time we have to be carefull when we send money because people tend to abuse this generosity of some truly honest people and use our money that we intended for the food to buy guns. I would never send any money to countries where brothers in faith kill each other because of the land, oil, power, religion or any other petty thing. I would love to send food, clothes, medicine and help them get educated but of course i am just one person. I can pray for them and hope everything goes well for all but The Almighty God, The Most Merciful will truly HELP them all. May The Almighty God, The Most Powerful helps and bles us all. As salamu alaykum wr wb.

I would say that you are right by saying that terrior and the media is a great weapon for anyone to use in todays world. As almost every nations is using this not Just America. Look at Iraq, Iran, South Korea and many other parts of this world especially in Africa. But if you want to argue this in any way it should be from your own thought and not copied from the internet and then posted here as your way to show what you say America is doing. I do not think that someone else's site can be directly manipulated; but another site can be pushed down the list by using numerous domain names with high ESO features. FYI Today (August 26) I googled the "holocaust cartoons iran" again, (quotation excluded, I did not use quotation marks in search) and I saw the www.irancartoon.com following the israeli website as the second among millions of sites. I made a little modification in my search key words, making it singular, "holocaust cartoon iran", (with no quotation mark) and the www.irancartoon.com came on top of the list, just before the israeli propaganda site. Peace Bro Shaad Yes indeed, we as an Ummah are in deep trouble... Personally I am just starting to try and make sense of how many filters are shading the light of the Al Quran, and the least I have to say is that I keep on being shocked by how much damage has been done to myself and to the whole... May Allah open our eyes and lead us to a better way than the ones followed thus far, and may we gather the strength to practice the guidance as Allah wishes us to practice it... Salam Noble

http//www.miraclesofthequran.com/ This site pretty much has it all, it's pretty good, perhaps free minds could just link it's miracles to here? Oh, and although it has links with Haroun Yayha, I think the person who set this up is a Qur'an alone Muslim... Peace, No he is not i think, God knows best, but he talks about sunna in some articles, maybe he blindly copied it, but you and i know a real God alone muslim wouldn't really have blindly copied it. Yeah, I think the site has input from multiple people, I'm pretty sure at least one of them is Qur'an alone due to some of the things they have said when referring to the miracle. It might be the one putting up the stuff about the code 19, I'm not sure, but either way, it's a pretty well made and website. Although the links to it and most stuff to do with Haroun Yayha always seem to have this new-age Religion feel to it, reminds me a lot of Bahai and Scientologist productions, of course, this has not been done intentionally; it's probably an attempt to reach out to Western non-Muslims with the quasi-Hellenic architecture and such, it gives a unique feel to it, you know, you're pretty sure when you've stumbled across another Haroun Yayha website

Peace, I read Icke's "Robot's Guide to Freedom" a few years ago and stopped as soon as the whole reptile thing became apparent. Up until then, I thought he had some really good thoughts. I haven't read anything new but I've heard he's been backing away from the reptile talk. Just thought I'd share. Anyway, good stuff as always Noah. Peace, Tay

Peace, When experiencing this creation, most people when thinking enough, will see a single source. The universe itself is a conversation between us and God in which He says I'm your Rabb. And by witnessing it, we say We are witnessing it. This is perfectly told in the story of Abraham, where through observing Reality, he came to the conclusion that God is the only Rabb. As for societies who haven't had a scripture prophet, please read this "The early man had little knowledge how nature worked and why, except what he himself could experience, out of this the feeling of mystery must have emerged. The feeling there is a true reality behind this life. This is how the concept of divinity, of the transcendent, a universal Good, bigger that the human and nature, a source of nurture, a ruler on destiny. This concept of power, of a Creator, in the sense of that is everything, a power of the higher and this reality must have come about. In our language it resembles the Transcendent and Immanent. If this can be seen as 1 God, as most researchers think, can not be proven of course. But it is certainly true, that in our days, with the cultures who don't use writing, and resembles early man in a lot of ways, like the use of oral tradition. That with these cultures, it is a common believe that there is only one highest god, one creator, and next to this god, they have to deal with lower spiritual beings as totems, cultural heroes, ancestors and local gods. But this god, sticks out with head and shoulders above all of these lower powers. For most it is a vague, and and incomprehensible power. That in their eyes doesn't intervene in daily life. So this is why they use their idols to ask help. When cultures grew, this aminism developed into polytheism. But in the background, this highest god always remained, although it was ignored. This faith, or rather understanding developed back in to monotheism as it is to be found in the scriptual faiths of today. So after a long route the highest power always prevailed. The concept of religion, has to be traced back in the faith of a holy power that goes beyond this universe, and supports it. It could be that this wasn't given no form, and stayed a vague term of providence, as a creating and recreating force, working in food, sex, fertility, birth, death and the changing of seasons. When this view, that this force exists, found it's own life in different aspects and functions, this developed into spirits, ghosts and idols, with each its own tasks. It reappearing throughout the whole history of mankind. The remerging of faith in every fase of cultures and religions since prehistoric times, gives a clear indication that it is something that is a spontaneous part of man itself. It is an expression of a feeling and thinking man is born with, not so much an outcome of observation and knowledge of the universe and nature. Without a doubt did this develope into the monotheisms of today, in the God as only creator and sustainer of all things. Far from that polytheism developed into monotheism, does the evidence show that the concept and knowledge of the universe, while it grew developed different gods and powers over time, while the highest being turned into a vague figure, that didn't intervene, and was hidden in the mists of animism and polytheism and the absolutism of Hinduism and in the far east." Gerben J.F. Bouritius Lector in the fenomology of religions and faiths of the Theological Faculty in Tilburg The concept of one God can be found with 99% of all cultures on earth. Although His importance of position in their faith is different with every culture. He is acknowledged as the only true Rabb by almost all cultures on earth. When studying traditions of even the most remote culture, the Creator single over-all ruler God is always present. As for the verses i gave from other scriptures, i just picked some here and there. I can look up many in the single person where God directly speaks to mankind. But it is not only through revelation. The universe itself is a conversation between God and mankind.

Yes, it is March-May, you are right. So, the weaning period should be between March and and June for the ones birthed in March. And it would be May-August for the ones birthed in May. So, the weaning period would be between March and August, with a peak in May and June. When we consider the natural bathtub mortality curve where the first 2-3 weeks or so after birth the main culprit for death are infant diseases and genetic defetcs and not human hunting, you would get a June-July peak where human hunters are the main threat to those animals. Let?s sum up Arabian oryx (Oryx leucoryx) => Births generally between October and may. Weaning 4.5 months. Nubian ibex (Capra nubiana) => Births in March. Weaning 3 months. Mountain gazelle (Gazella gazella) => Births between April and May. Weaning 3 months. Dorcas gazelle (Gazella dorcas) => Births between March and May. Weaning 3 months. Goitered gazelle (Gazella subgutturosa) => Births between April and May. Weaning 4-5 months. Now, here is what you wrote We already determined that the first full-moon after the summer solstice (the full-moon of "ramadhan&quot is the first restricted full-moon. Hence, counting four full-moons beginning with the first full-moon after the summer solstice would give us the restricted four full-moons and as usual, the crescent times the end of the period (a period of about 90+10 100 days). The solstice happens towards the later part of June (June 22 or so). The full-moon of scorching heat would be 0-30 days after that. Thus, the start of the restricted full-moons would be on average around the beginning of the second week of July and would end around the third week in October (this is average but it could be sooner or as late as end of October depending on when the full-moon occurred after the summer solstice). So the restriction full-moons cover the time from about mid summer to mid fall. The timing of the restriction is significant, especially given that the restriction is on hunting wild-life. Interestingly, the restriction doesn't cover domesticated livestock animals (see 51). Why is that? The answer may be because summer is the time when most wild animals and even wild birds give birth. Why is that? The answer may be because summer is the time when most wild animals and even wild birds give birth. By killing a wild female animal, you are not only killing it but you would also be inadvertently killing all its new-born off-spring who cannot feed and fend for themselves. Also, finding the new-born animals gives the hunter an unfair advantage because the mother is sometimes reluctant to leave them or the hunter can just wait close by until the mother comes back for them and easily bring her down. On the other hand, when a mother of a domesticated livestock animal is killed, her new-born can be easily cared for by people and they will survive fine. http//www.free-minds.org/articles/science/timing.htm Obviously, your assertion ?The answer may be because summer is the time when most wild animals and even wild birds give birth.? is wrong. According to your opinion, the 4 months restricted period would begin between June 22 and July 21. So, even if we give credit to the bathtub delay assumption, this period would not be appropriate for the protection of the wild animals during their weaning period. OK, thanks for the information. The question is now on which criteria is a hunting restriction set ? Is it to protect the animals when they come to birth? Is it to protect them in the weaning period ? Is it to protect them when they are weak due to heat ? Is the bathtub distribution a criteria ? Do you have something to prove that the bathtub distribution is a criteria ? I mean do you have a document about hunting regulations which states that the hunting restriction period of an animal does not begin when the animal comes to birth, but a few weeks later, due to the bathtub distribution ? Scientifically speaking, the criteria is to restrict hunting when human hunters are the biggest danger to animals. Could you provide your sources for that ? My opinion would be that the best period for a hunting restriction is the birth and weaning period of the animals. Because, when you kill a young animal, you lose the opportunity of killing it when he is mature, with much flesh on it. Based on the great reading, the restriction is in the hottest time of the year. This happens to coincide with the above criteria. First, I would not say it is based on the Quran ; I would rather say it is based on your personal understanding of it. Second, it is based on the assumption that the hunters are a bigger danger to the animals in the summer that in any other season. Please remember that, according to your theory, hunting could be possible till July 21 in some years. Here is what I have found on this topic Seasons are set so as not to disturb the reproduction of a species. Ring-necked pheasants and waterfowl are not hunted during the nesting season. Trappers usually are not allowed to trap furbearers (e.g., beavers) when they have dependent young. http//www.iowadnr.gov/education/wldmang.html Where I am, the majority of birds nest in the summer. This comment is irrelevant. Your suggestion to resume hunting in the summer, as opposed to in the fall, also doesn't make any sense and contradicts the vast majority of scientific-based hunting restrictions in the world. Usually, it is the fall when most hunting is resumed, not the summer. Could you provide your sources ? I posted some sources for brother Layth in this post http//www.free-minds.org/forum/index.php?&topic=6238.msg98015#msg98015 You cannot compare. In the Quran, the hunting season last more than 8 (lunar) months, whereas in North America today, it lasts only a few weeks. Anyway, the wild animals can go in the drinking places in the night. You should also note that the hunted animals have also natural predators. So, these animals should be adapted to the life in semi-desertic places. We are not concerned about natural predators. We are concerned about when human hunter would pose the biggest danger. Also, for species who are endangered, no time is a good time to hunt them. They should be protected all year round. This is just good common sense. You have not got my point. You were saying that, in Summer, the wild animals get easily exhausted, hence easy to catch. My reply was that, were it the case, these animals would have disappeared of these hot place because of their predators. An animal leaving in hot places is necessarily adapted to it. It should not get easily exhausted in summer. I don?t agree. You are saying that these animals are easy to catch because the hunters have run after the preys till exhaustion. This kind of hunting is called persistence hunting. Here is how it works in south Africa During the persistence hunt an antelope, such as a kudu, is not shot or speared from a distance, but simply run down in the midday heat. Depending on the specific conditions, hunters of the central Kalahari will chase a kudu for about two to five hours over 25 to 35 km in temperatures of about 40 to 42?C. The hunter chases the kudu, which then runs away out of sight. By tracking it down at a fast running pace the hunter catches up with it before it has had enough time to rest in the shade. The animal is repeatedly chased and tracked down until it is too exhausted to continue running. The hunter then kills it at close range with a spear. http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistence_hunting So, as you can see, you need to run deliberately after the animals during at least 2 hours, whereas the verse doesn?t talk about this deliberate effort. On the contrary, the verse is about animals that could be, at some time, easy to catch. These easy to catch animals are presumably jerboas, hyraxes or bustards people could come across unexpectedly during their daily activities or throughout their war expeditions. The passage says that they are easy to catch with your HANDS and spears. Have you ever tried to catch a wild animal with your hands? Try it and you will know what I mean. The only way you can catch a wild animal EASILY with your HANDS is if it is sick, dying, or exhausted. If you know of other ways, please share. Young animals are especially vulnerable because they have less stamina than mature ones and are inexperienced so they easily corner themselves. You have answered your own question. A young animal can get easily cornered, due to his lack of experience. So, the most likely period where animals can be easy to catch would be the period when they are young, i.e. spring. Once they are able to walk, they can go wherever their mother goes. And I don?t see why they would be more threatened far from their birth place than near it. The more they travel, the more trails they leave and the more the chance of the trail being picked up by hunting dogs. Also, the more they travel the more the chance of crossing the paths of humans. I don?t think so. Remember the way of hunting with the falcons. The salukis do not catch the game by picking up their trails. First, the falcons find the game, and second, the salukis catch it by running after it. So, the wild animals will be caught if they are at the wrong place at the wrong time. In any case, since the salukis can get easily overheated in the hottest days, I think there were nearly no hunting in summer. Maybe because the saluki gets easily overheated. Of course, horses have a greater problem with overheating than Salukis because of their unfavorable surface-volume ratio. A horse that is twice as tall has four times the surface area, but it has eight times the mass producing heat, so it's twice as hard for it to rid itself of heat. ... In mixed hunts in Merced, I have seen several Greyhounds die of heat stroke; very few Salukis do. ... Salukis can keep going because they are not producing heat quite as fast and they can get rid of it. So, it would have been dangerous for the dogs to make them hunt in the warmest days of the year. See above. See below Exercising in hot weather can cause potentially fatal heatstroke in dogs?even in salukis. The saluki?s tendency to run at high speed causes a rapid rise in body temperature. In cold weather this excess heat is rapidly dissipated, but in Florida?s hot, humid weather it is not. Signs of distress include rapid panting, abundant and thick saliva, reddened mucous membranes, and swollen tongue. The dog will often become agitated, as though seeking escape from the discomfort of overheating. If the temperature is not brought down immediately, breathing becomes labored and loud, cerebral edema may develop, the dog may have convulsions, go into a stupor or coma, and die. http//www.floridasaluki.org/health_heatstroke.html Peace
