Very, very good point you made Huruf. bravo I would bet that the word 'kafir' is the most abused word in the quran. The word kafir is NOT a disbeliever. It is someone who believes/knows (better) but his actions are evil. Perhaps the word 'kafir' needs reinterpretation. I also highly disagree with some quranists who have been trapped by their sectarian past, and hence replace 'kafir' with a person who does not believe in quran. You dont HAVE to believe in the quran in order to be a 'muslim' (believer). It is your actions and consciousness which makes you a muslim, hence we have muslims everywhere. And kafirs everywhere(people who do evil when they know its wrong). Dr Asrulislam gives an interesting interpretation of the word Kafir. He says Kafir is someone who is in denial.

A hand for a hand also or any equivalent value or retribution instead. For murder we are given a soul for a soul as the highest ceiling and then exile from the community as the lowest ceiling. Amputation is allowed for murder if we do not want to execute (Cain and Abel story in the Koran). We are to fight those who fight against us but not to transgress. Forgiveness is always allowed except for murder where exile from the community is the lwoest ceiling. We are always to judge by qist and adl, justice and equity. No excesses allowed. We are also to Wa la taziru waziratun wizra ukhra? (Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another's burden), Tribal justice is not allowed where retalitaion is done againt anyone for the tribe to which the criminal comes from. Eye for an eye tooth for a tooth, man for man, women for woman and slave for slave apples for apples, oranges for oranges and grapes for grapes. We must not mix apples with oranges or eye for an eyelash and a tooth for a jaw. The Koran uses these terms to indicate euqity and proportionality when it comes to justice. 55.9. So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance Here it says we should establish qist when it comes to weight(wazn) and not lose the scale(mizan). But the devil promises nothing but deceit. When I said that Satan lives inside each one of us, I wasn't expecting some to believe that it meant to be taken literally. My main point is that since the reality of us Humans isn't physical, the part that originated from God is eternal and this is similar to the concept of Satan, he is not a physical entity. While contemplating on this part of surah724 'He said, "Descend as enemies to one another' ........Could it be that not only includes satan vs humans, but also men vs women, as history shows that when males had power in their hands, according to them, it was the woman's fault what ever a man did; from Eve to Sarah to stories in hadith. All religions have to some extent blamed women for the wrongs in this world. Now with the emergence of power granted to women in the 20th century, which I believe has happened for the first time in modern history, see how women are treating men. nope

Peace. 3210 And they said When we are buried in the ground, will we be created anew? Indeed, they reject the meeting of their Lord. How should we be buried? Should we go to the burial of non believers? I think somewere in tge Quran it days we shouldn't I couldn't find it to bring it up. If we are supose to get buried then we could not cremate our selves I suppose. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets- I am not sure if the word "shame" is a proper translation but its a good way to look at how we are to be buried. It must be done before decomposing. The accounts of the raven is also there in the Talmud "Adam and his help mate were sitting weeping and lamenting over him , and they did not know what to do with Abel, for they were not acquainted with burial. A raven, one of whose companions had died, came. He took him and dug in the earth and buried him before his eyes. Adam said, 'I shall do as this raven.' Immediately, he took Abel's corpse and dug in the earth and buried it."

Peace Inelwyn peace The 4 Gospels that are popular today are written as THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO... There is no "original" Gospel, they're all accounts. However, the Gospels do contain the sayings/actions/commandments of Jesus. To my belief, i do believe these sayings of Jesus. In the Quran, it states that something along the lines of Compassion/Mercy was put in the "heart" of those who followed Jesus (5727), and when you look into the Gospels, you will see that Compassion, the Philanthropy, and the lovely teachings... Another teaching of Jesus is of that of arrogance. (i.e whoever exalts himself will be debased... whoever humbles himself will be exalted). This is confirmed in the Quran, because it states that one of the reasons that the Nazariens/christians are closer to the believers as friends is because they are not arrogant (582). Other Teachings of Jesus include his parables about God's Kingdom to come, forgiveness, repentence etc. As noted by Jafar, the Gospel of Mathew is the one to put your bets in. The Gospel According to John's is the most hellenistic, and features the deifying of Jesus. Moreover, I Encourage everyone to read the Previous books of God. You will see yourself the Truth therin. There are many, many similarities between the Quran and the bible (from the Cow of Sura 2 = Numbers 19, to the Saul being king 2246 = 1 Samuel etc) (Also, if anyone tells you about the "contadictions" of the bible, please search the Refutations of such "contradictions", because many of these contradictions ara actually mistranslations of the original Hebrew Text. 4823 The established Sunnah of Allah which has occurred before. And never will you find in the way of Allah any change. People follow Misleading Sunnah, because they think it will help them in Life.(it won't, it doesn't work). The solution, is too give them True Sunnah that actually help them in life.
