Many Atheist live quite happily. lotetree, Yes, unknowingly and without application of their mind as to wherefrom the Guidance comes. They surely know it is not from them but from God. Either we abide by it or reject, it is our choice. Either you be grateful to God for such benevolence or overlook HIM, is our pride or self-respect. Some of the Brilliant Minds have been Atheist. News of this reached a woman of Banu Asad called Umm Yaqub. She came to him saying "O Abu Abd al-Rahman! I heard that you cursed such-and-such." He replied "Why should I not curse those whom Allah's Messenger saws cursed?" She said "Lo! I certainly read all that is between the two covers , and I did not find this." He replied "Had you read it you would have certainly found it. Did you not read (597)?" She said yes. He said "Allah's Messenger saws forbade it." peace sister hope you are doing great don't know sister the above seems that people saying that the prophet cursed but did he or not? the Quran tells us 2 things about Mmohammad he was the best of character Allah made his heart soft on the unbelievers so they listen to his important message therefore any hadith that you read and suggest the prophet cursed others is nothing but conjecture, UNLESS THOSE PEOPLE WAS MICHEIFERS ON EARTH THAT WERE CURSED BY ALLAH AND THE PROPHET INFORMED THEY THEY ARE CURSED BY ALLAH, similar to what sultana suggested peace be with you

Peace bro Please be aware that Sakara can also means sugarly like sweet, in fact sugar in arabic means Sukkar so you do have a point regarding 1667 that it is refering to the juice, thanks for that bro but also Sakara means "dizzy", "lost mind" "drunk" and all these sort of mental status and is commonly used in arabic too, in fact there is a verse in the Quran that described the tough moment of death as Sakarat Al Mout, which means the mental status during death is going to be like a dream I guess, but sure it is very true I will try to look for all the verses that Sakara apeared as we may have another clue peace bro Peace be upon you also bro, Thanks for the reply and extra knowledge.. and Ill be waiting for your further imput..!

I do think we have to realize that when people die, their bodies remain here, which I think is self-evident... so what is it that does not remain with the body? The soul, or nafs. So, if we have trouble even identifying our own soul while we're alive, we sure are going to have trouble being in touch with the nafs of someone whose body is dead. Perhaps this is the barrier... the barrier that exists between us mortals and the spiritual world, which is generally not breached.

It is a cartoonist's habit of viewing anything, leave alone hadiths. Definitely none can caricature the Quran. So who to blame? Everything can be subject to caricature...it is how you create it and how you respond to it that determines the outcome of it.... Regards,

God is the Creator. It is quite unbecoming of the Creator to operate on a set of laws, like the humans do.

Peace, The banning of DQ seemed most unfair and unjust. I can't recall transgressions after him being reinstated. It seemed that the moderators had second thoughts and thought the better of reinstating him. But, they should have lived with their error in my view and give him a chance. On another note I am disappointed in some of the behaviours here on this matter. There are some who decided they knew best and got their way which felt unjust to me despite I had a lot of respect for them. But I wouldn't dream of throwing insults at them in the way it is thrown here. It is quite upsetting to see how far from the peaceful tranquility we are...no we still have a lot to learn and a good start is to learn how to talk to eachother. Peace

it's just so sad that the government would kill their own people to serve their 'broader' causes. it seems that more and more people are aware of this conspiracy. when i watched c-span yesterday, there was one phone call that mentioned about this. i don't know how if the government did all that for good reasons or not (just like what they said about spreading freedom and democracy) but a lie is a lie, and there is no excuse for that.

Yes he was originally part of the Young Turks, but broke free of them. My two cents for what is worth... I think the first thing the turkish quran only muslims should do is to recognise the genocide against the armenians and ask for forgiveness and worked on a compensation. The rest will come automatically. I for one do not believe the armenians were innocent victims. A war which they started and then were left to die by the Russians. Plus why should I apologise/compensate when - A. I had nothing to do with it B. Turks themselves received the same amount of rumoured treatment. Thanks, I did not know Attaturk left the Young Turks. I'm not certain why you and LT have attempted to criticise my post which has alot more substance than the issue I have raised here - that the general issues section is becoming choked with nonsense topics. peace All, I think some of the concepts discussed wthin this thread are some of the most vital in one's understanding. these should be carefully considered. It personally took me a while to appreciate the significance of them. if i may answer some of the questions raised in this thread by use of analogy... when i sit a test, the higher mark i get, the better the grade, i.e. the better the reward. not all people sitting the test will have an equal outcome. some people do not revise and take the test but get a good mark. whilst some can revise and take the test and fail. some can revise and take the test and get an excellent grade. there are different outcomes no matter what method you approach the test. I hope we can realise there are many ways. applying 'al quran' is simply one way. It is written by the one who set the test, thus surely it is one of the best guides, but not the only guide as 'al quran' states itself (e.g. 4153) When i buy a desk from Ikea, sure i could assemble it without reading the instructions by the creator of the desk, the instructions are just one way of acheiving the goal. If my inner reasoning is correct, i will assemble the desk myself (like the story of Abraham). I hope this is of help. Wakas ps - remember, whilst stories in 'al quran' (the reading) are apparently in the past, they have been preserved for future generations. why is that? it is because they can provide lessons. specific lessons are not exclusive to a specific experience, i.e. the same lesson can be gained from many experiences. if you happen to learn a lesson from your experience rather than from 'al quran' brilliant, but if you got it from 'al quran' thats also good. ayatin/signs are not only within 'al quran', they are also outwith it. The significance of 4153 is awesome.
