What......That's common sense what sick human being would marry their grandchildren... People do not care whether it is 'sick' job or not when it come to argue with you against following the Quran alone... This issue was raised by Salafis with me... They spread the false impression that those who follow the Quran, follow only what they see textually present in the Quran and if it is not present textually/explicitly, they take it as something allowed... So for them, since marrying grand-daughters and grand-mothers is not mentioned in any verse explicitly, they say that those who follow the Quran should consider this marriage as something 'allowed' by Allah.. This issue just prove their ignorance regarding their own Quran... Worst of ALL... the guy with whom I was debating did not publish my answer regarding this issue... So, he is concealing the truth knowingly... Allah knows best.

There is no choice in this case . The Quran prohibits Muslim men from marrying unbelievers and associators, saying that it is better for them to marry believing women. And do not marry the ... jedi Yeah, I know.

Wel personally I would never know if my husband had affairs before marriage..nor am I interested to know abt his past either.. But if am talking generally,if a girl did so and out of fear she doesnt say she is not a virgin, and on her nuptial night the guy find out,IS HE ALLOWED TO GIVE TALAK TO HIS WIFE? Honesty is one of the most important factors in a relationship. Telling lies can turn into a viscious cycle. Its best to be open, truthful and upfront instead of pretending to be someone your not. sun

salam liquiddharma. yes, you should not be allowed to have slaves, we on the other hand may have slaves, we know how to treat another human being. christian and western societies implemented race and gender based slavery. muslim societies never had this kind of nonsense. christian and western societies brutalized their slaves selling off their children, raping them, torturing them. muslims never behaved in this savage manner with their slaves, on the contrary most slaves were considered respectable members of the family as those the right hand possess. your myopic world view living in a western christian country which fills your ears with your supposed superiority, is condemned by the fact that you cannot act decently to another human being, as a result of which you had to outlaw slavery. muslim countries dont abuse slaves as a result of which no draconian laws are needed to regulate slavery. little does your small minded world view inform you that the guardians of the prophets mosque and the haram sharif are descendants of the slave, belal, who was chosen by muhammad to lead the first call to prayer. in our world slaves are honorable decent human beings, unlike your pathetic excuse for the maltreatment you call your enlightenment. spare me your arrogance. go bang your drum somewhere else. i for one am not impressed. allah is the way and the light. I do not go about looking for places to bang any drum about slavery and equality, in fact I never thought I would have to, particularly not on this website of free thinking people. But in a free society, and in a globalised world, we must make our cases strongly, and in detail, and never be too proud to defend the truth. So I'll spell it out for you. The reason you think that 'islamic' slavery is less bad than 'christian' slavery is because the evils of slavery in the west have been written about far more than the evils of slavery in the Arab world. This is because westerners write far more books and make far more films. They communicate better. Not because 'muslim' slavery is less evil. It is not. The reason you think women are not equal to men is because you were brought up badly and have a phallic obsession. Allah gave us all brains and the capacity to look after ourselves. To be forced to give up your free will is like having a part of your body cut off, not being able to use one of your organs. That?s why the Quran says that no prophet is allowed to have any prisoners except what they capture in battle ? captivity is a punishment ? this fits in with the Geneva Conventions which allow forced labour of prisoners of war. So in fact the United Nations says the same things about slavery (forced labour) as the Quran.

Yeah, let's assume Adam and his partner were the first human being... It could be they were the first homo sapiens bestowed with human souls. There might have been a pre-existing society around them of creatures one evolutionary step behind the human level, be they neanderthals or naked apes walking upright, or what have you.

None of the verses say kataba talaq, which would be make a writing of talaq, in the absence of a writing, there is only one other way, speaking the talaq. In the absence of God not telling us it must be spoken, it is allowed to be written or spoken. And about forging lies against Allah... nope I will no longer tolerate your bashing. Peace

Salam haneen. Wearing the headcovering is farz on women, do not argue this issue. Surah La Nur clearly states it is farz for women. The parts of Sura Al Nur that deal with nikah to an associator, are not relevant to you, you are already in nikah with him. You cannot use a rule that is for before nikah, after a nikah. Now that you have a nikah, the rajal is your husband. He has the authority. To disobey or desert your husband is a punishable offence in the Quran. Do you want to be punished for doing what Allah says your husband can punish you for doing? Stay away from these ideas, do what Allah tells you to do, say salaat, dua, and zikr, make sawm, give zakat, make haj, and wear headcovering, like a momin. Inshallah if you do thses things you will receive kitab in your right hand. Allah is mighty wise.

Salaaman brother Al Araf, Thank you for your understanding. But I just wanted to clear some points and reasons of the Talaaq / Qula. 1- As I said, my wife is really innocent, and she is not mentally matured enough to judge good and bad, even for herself. 2- But she brought up in an environment where there is no care for husbands. 3- And she has not seen outside world. She don't have any social activities, meeting others, nothing. Like a frog of a well. 4- She believes as 100% to what ever her relatives and family members say. 5- She always behaves to me like my husband. yes 6- And actually she don't like my likenesses. That means 99% uncompatable with me since marraige. 7- She is so careless that she lost 22 tolas of gold that we gave at our marraige. And my in-laws send police to my house, they checked everything and Alhamdulillah, police inspector said, allow me to enter and check in their house also. My parents said, we left everything on Allah, He will surely help us. Alhamdulillah, everybody in our locality said that it is not possible to lose even a pie from that house, that house is a bank for many of us (My mom use to keep money of lot of people, as saving, just for the sake of help and to make Allah happy). 8- Later my mom made again the same 20 or 22 tolas of gold for her considering she is a member of our house, but unfortunately she and her parents are not even thankful to my mom. They never care because they are a big shots. 9- I did not get children for 6 years after marraige and her mother said in public that my daughter got a very bad luck because I married her to a person who is not a MAN (who cannot produce children). At that time also me and my parents left everything on Allah. And I said, I will pray to Allah for children and I believe that He is the listener of all. And Alhamdulillah, very next month my wife became pregnant. And my mother-in-law got no answer! Allah has shown them well. Alhamdulillah. Actually, they don't want to get blamed, so initially they put all on me. 10- I had given full freedom to my wife for going to her parents house. I never stopped her, and she use to go almost twice or thrice a week. And sometimes she use to stay there for 2 days - 1 week. (I think there I made a mistake, that I did not control her). Not only this, she use to go out with her sisters, but I never stop her. 11- In last Ramadhan, her uncle (father's elder brother) came from Saudi Arabia for good. And he came to know about my believes. He called me on dinner, I went, he said lot of stories and shown himself very superior and knowlegable and ask me to tell in front of him that "uncle, you are right, and from today onwards I will follow what you said", and he added, you cannot go from here until you say this. I suddenly stood up and said, you cannot force me, do whatever you want to. And I said, you think you are right and I think I am on the right path, so, I pray to Allah that whosoever is wrong, guide us towards the path of yours. Suddenly, he replied, "I dont need your guidance, I am already guided and you became a kafir, and your Nikah got haraam, you are doing zina when you are going to your wife, what ever you earning is haraam for your wife and children, and so on...." I just got up and left from there. He is the main charecter who made this fasaad. And if anyone ask him why you created fasaad, he will surely say, I wanted to rectify things. He never follow, what he himself say. He is a clear hepocrate. 12- For six months, they were feeding my wife the same lesson, and she was sleeping away from me since 6 months and told me that she is not well and I believed her. But later I came to know this was the reason said above. So, finally this incident happened. Because of the reaction of my wife against me, I took this step initially, I called her brother and told him that "Your sister don't want to live with me anymore, and me too". They were planning for the same since 6 months but they could not take any step because Alhamdulillah, they dont find anything bad or wrong in me. hail But I have taken a start and again they wanted to be superior so, they said, what are you talking about Talaaq, we want to take Qula. So, this was a story brother. I should clarify that my father-in-law is not involved in anything, and he is very understanding, but unfortunately, he has been wrongly informed about all the cases by his wife and brother. Because he works abroad, he dont know the reality. We (me and him) got so many sitting and discussions about the matter of AlQuraan alone. I tried to convince him and he tried to convince me for Hadith (he also got a good knowledge of AlQuraan and Hadith also). But did not find any ways. InshaAllah, Everything written above is correct and true as per my knowledge. Allah knows best. He is the all knower. Sorry brother, sorry for such a loooooooooooooong story. But I just wanted to convey the truth. Regards, mmKhan

Answer to Hawk, Repeating something over and over doesn't improve it. You keep repeating the same thing over and over when your assertions have already been answered. Obviously the only thing that interests you in the Quran is to say how wrong nad contradictory it is and any other compliment that comes to your mind. Apart from no saying anything new, you repeat yourself. We already know what you think, we can read the Quran ourselves and also the Bible. Should be enough, although if it is a compulsion I can understand it. It is human to have compulsions. And should be enough politeness that although if we were looking for things to criticise in the Bible you would drown in them, we do not do it, and that you keep harping at imaginary shortcomings of the Quran and still we do not do it. I think you should not give yourself so much trouble with the Quran, because by what you say I deduce that you are Quran blind. God willing you may be able to see in the future. Again, according to the very same Bible, the Bible is not the word of God. At most it may contain a few quotations of the words of God. Salaam I am wondering which one of you edited out my scripture verses with the little face which refers to "cool"? Are you trying to hide the verses? Are you afraid to see the truths? Since you say I am Koran blind and yet you have in the past admitted that the Torah, the book of Psalms and the Gospel are inspired by Jehovah and in over 64 places the Koran itself says this. I was wondering what you all thought of this scripture The Book of John, Chapter 6, Verse 38 and please do not edit out the verse or chapter or book for that matter as you did on the other scriptures. You edited out the verse number for Matthew chapter 19 verse 8? Why? Do you have something to hide and on 1st John Chapter 4 verse 8 twice you edited out the verse? You do not want everyone to know that God is Love? I mean think about it. He gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to buy all of mankind out of the Sin that Adam bought us into when he disobeyed Jehovah in his act of rebellion in the Garden of Eden. I know you guys like to say Jesus was a prophet and that is all, but in the Gospel you are told in the Koran to follow, in the book of John which is part of your Gospel in Chapter 6 verse 38, what does your version of that verse say in what you call the proper translation? Does it say that Jesus was just a prophet? Or does it say that he came down out of heaven? And why did he come down out of heaven? To do Jehovah Gods will. In fact this scripture alone shows he had a pre-existing life before Jehovah God seeded him into a woman and he took on the human form in the womb of Mary, his mother. You say you study the bible also? Then explain to me how just a prophet could have a pre-existing life before he became such a prophet if he was only a prophet? I never heard of any other prophet given such a glory? Just ponder on that for a little bit because my bible says at that verse where John quoted Jesus in John 638 "because I have come down from heaven to do, not my will but the will of him that sent me....." (End of Quote.) Which would be his father, Jehovah. In fact he says it was his fathers will in verse 40 so that everyone exercising faith in him can be resurrected and have everlasting life. I take it you people do not want to be resurrected in the last day into the promised paradise earth? I guess everlasting life is not a goal for you people because to minimize the Son of Jehovah God is the same as the Jews did. That is what your book you want to follow and have your ears tickled with does. Yet the Koran contradicts itself and it says to follow the Gospel but it then minimizes Jesus Christ to just a prophet. I never read anywhere about Muhammad performing any miracles as Jesus Christ did? Much less as Jesus 12 Apostles did later for that matter? In fact in all of supposed Christendom our whole Calendar ends and begins new on the year of Jesus birth. I do not mean to disrespect you. But I am always testing out my faith. Bring on your contradictions you want to show me. I will study and test my faith and try to help you to understand those misinformation's that I am sure I have already seen from bible theologists who mis read the scriptures and like to twist it here and there. In fact I already have done a comparison on one of your area on this place in my own research. I know we are not suppose to compare supposedly religions and faiths. But you people are following a book that tells you to go out and kill people. What does it call us? Infidels? Jehovah tells us in the 10 Commandments not to kill or commit murder. His Son Jesus Christ tells us to go even further than that and to love our enemies not kill them. I am sorry if I sound like it is disrespect. I am not a very strong Jehovah's Witness and I am not very polished as many are. I am very blunt to say the least. I apologize if I offend you in this but I am only telling you what I have learned so far. I am sure I will learn even more as you people make me have to research more to answer your questions and statements and so forth and I love learning more about Jehovah God and his son, Jesus Christ. Again as for the Marriage you even quoted that what Allah, (which is only a title and not Jehovah's name and means God), says let no man tear asunder I believe you said in your quote talking about the marriage arrangement. In other words no man can tear apart what God yoked together. Not any arbitrators or the husband himself or the wife herself. You made a life long commitment and now things are not perfect in that marriage so one of the partners wants to break that contract. Moses allowed it to be broken only if Adultery is the reason or death severs the marriage bonds and that is the only reasons allowed in the Scriptures. You are to work it out between yourselves and in fact if you do not get peace back into your marriage it can hinder your prayers or offerings to Jehovah God. Man likes to break gods rules and laws and ways. So you allow Mohammad to over rule Jehovah God with his Koran and Islamic laws written by your holy people. What makes that any different than how the Pope does? They think the Pope can over ride Jehovah God in the Roman Catholic religion. No man can over ride Jehovah God and his inspired books of the bible. To even question Jehovah's authority is apostasy. As for the bible over how many centuries it still says basically the same thing in all the bibles. There are a few translation discrepancies but the main principals are the same. Jehovah God has more than enough power and authority to protect the main essence of the bible and what man does change will be revealed and has been and is still being revealed. The Jews did the same thing in Jesus Time period. They replaced Jehovah God's name with a title so they would not have to do their man made ceremony when they where hand copying the bible every time they came across the name Jehovah. So they just removed it. Now days they are removing it because it points to one group of people that all religions on earth are afraid to have anything to point to. Jehovah's Earthly witnesses as you know as Jehovah's Witnesses. I read how some criticize Jehovah's Witnesses on this site. My question is if you do not compare belief to what Jehovah's Inspired word is in the bible then how else are you ever going to find the truth. You claim to be descendants of Abraham then you need to follow the scriptures as his son Jesus Christ who came down from heaven tells you to do. So aside from Christendoms Apostate literature and lies lets see what you call contradictions in the bible? I know you and the Jews are at ends but you both contradict the scriptures and Jehovah God's son in that both you are in agreement in denying Jesus Christ as Jehovah God's Son. Yet the Koran says to follow the Gospel and live by it? The Koran itself contradicts itself and the Torah, the book of Psalms and the Gospel. From what I last read you guys are trying to use some other books now as the gospel and so forth. Is that correct or some mad mans ramblings? All I know is the time is short and this wicked world of mankind is going to be cleaned of all the wicked very soon and all that will be left over is those doing the will of Jesus Father. It will not be man that cleanses mankind. It is going to be Jehovah God's heavenly armies lead by his heavenly son Jesus who will cry out with the voice of a arc angel which was also known as Micheal the arc angel. There is only one arc angel in heaven. All the signs of Jesus presence is already here. He is already in power in Heaven and ready for Jehovah God to tell him when to attack as only Jehovah knows the day and the hour of wicked mankind's destruction, not even Jesus knows that time. I just want to help you to see that you need to align yourselves to the truth and not a lie before it is too late. So far in all my searching and all my years I have come to know that Jehovah's Witnesses are the only ones who have the most vast world wide messenger service to warn everyone and no one else compares and when they have preached to all the inhabited earth then the end is coming for all the wicked on this planet and that is anyone on the fence Satan built and not following Jehovah's commandments and his will which is to warn others the same as we where warned and to teach them the truths in the bible. Time is short and for the guy with the wife issue, he and she needs to get over it and make up and get busy saving themselves and everyone else they can from that great day of Jehovah God's mighty vengeance on wicked mankind. This is no joke! This is your life and you want to criticize me because of my showing you what I learned bring it on. As I said I am willing to see your contradictions as you say in my bible. I use the New World Translation. Show me the contradictions so I can test out my faith! Sincerely, Joe Hawkins

you know what you all people who do not say amen to what Alaraf says. You are all going to hell, you are al backbiters and infidels and... wht was it again? ... Never mind, just ask Alaraf for the hell's plat du jour and you will be served to your full satisfaction. And, Keeley, just take it easy, take some distance. You sound like an adolescent full anxiety as if her whole life and happinness was being decided, on that minute, that date, that afternoon, that smile, that lack of smile. TAKE-IT-EASY. Life is short, but not that short. One's fate is not decided that fast, that quick, and rearely is irreversible. Do what some other friend has already posted, have positive things to say. It is better to encourage with good thoughts of the many things are are good and beuatiful and well with you and with him, that remind constantly of the things that are not just as you like. Better spend time being thankful and counting what you might not have and you do, than linger on all you miss. Salaam, and how is that hell doing today, Alaraf?

hi and salam, i am a woman like yourself and a 'muslim' by heart. first of all, we can not fight with what Allah has ordained for us. coming to your issue... do u know what 'love' means??? it is the second name of sacrifice, respect (although sometimes one has to let that go a little bit!), belief, sincerity, compassion.... all in all... love means WANTING each other and WANTING to cope with each other, help each other and honour each other esp in trying times. lastly.. its a TWO WAY street. read what i have written patiently and attentively and ask yourself... is your love all of the above? if yes... or even no.. just be patient and wait for the right moment to arrive when you can ACT IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION... for that wisdom... only ASK ALLAH. and He will answer you... but ONLY if you want to hear Him out... peace and prayers... aq. As Salaam Alaikum, I am really in need of prayers. My husband is saying that we divorcing and I do not want to. I would just really like to work our problems out before it is too late. I even told him about he must wait 4 months to even come to that decision, but he doesn't seem to care at the moment. I am very scared because I love this man so mcuh. If you all could please pray for me I'd really appreciate it. I love this man with all of my heart and he is just someone that I care about so much. Please pray for me. thank you

Peace "ibelevieinitonly", Also prohibited(for men) are the women who are already married, except what your right hands possess/attain(i.e. unless they flee their disbelieving husbands who are at war with you.)* These are GOD's commandments to you. All other categories are permitted for you in marriage, so long as you pay them their due dowries. You shall maintain your morality, by not committing adultery. Thus, whoever you like among them, you shall pay them the dowry decreed for them. You commit no error by mutually agreeing to any adjustments to the dowry. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise. O you who believe, when believing women (abandon the enemy and) ask for asylum with you, you shall test them. GOD is fully aware of their belief. Once you establish that they are believers, you shall not return them to the disbelievers. They are not lawful to remain married to them, nor shall the disbelievers be allowed to marry them. Give back the dowries that the disbelievers have paid. You commit no error by marrying them, so long as you pay them their due dowries. Do not keep disbelieving wives (if they wish to join the enemy). You may ask them for the dowry you had paid, and they may ask for what they paid. This is GOD's rule; He rules among you. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise. So if you have established that your husband is a disbeliever then you can easily ask to be married by another believer and theres nothing your husband can do. GOD Bless!

As'salaam Alaykum, Sis... I am very sorry to hear of your grief, but I can certainly understand. First, I'd like to advise... NEVER abandon ALLAH and ISLAM for anyone or anything! You were once a Christian, as you stated... and you abandoned that religion because of your heart and beliefs; which did not coincide with the religion itself. ALLAH led you to ISLAM, because of this correct thinking and believing... in the ONENESS of GOD (ALLAH); which IS ISLAM. You were a Muslim even while practicing Christianity, because you had already embraced the Message, the Way... the Path... straight to ALLAH! I can not advise you in any way on the issue of divorce... only ALLAH knows best! Therefore, you must consult ALLAH's law concerning this matter... the Qur'an... and choose according to what will leave you in good standing with ALLAH. We are to move away from anyone or anything that will come between us and ALLAH... He knows best! Follow what is right... even if it goes against your FEELINGS, which are obviously VERY strong for your husband. But never abandon ISLAM because of your grief of a relationship with someone other than ALLAH. ISLAM also means PEACE... and when you are in submission to ALLAH (ISLAM)... you are accepting PEACE and ALLAH for yourself. What is better than this? Be the best Muslim that you can be for ALLAH... this should help you with your decision. Peace and blessings to you... and may ALLAH guide you in the correct way and have mercy in light of your circumstances. The Meek One, A Lady angel

Shalom handshake I would like to know your opinion if a submitter can to marry a christian woman ? Shalom Peace, respectfully. Today, all good food is made lawful for you. The food of the people of the scripture is lawful for you. Also, you may marry the chaste women among the believers, as well as the chaste women among the followers of previous scripture, provided you pay them their due dowries. You shall maintain chastity, not committing adultery, nor taking secret lovers. Anyone who rejects faith, all his work will be in vain, and in the Hereafter he will be with the losers. Peace. peace

Well this is great and shows that she is going through a difficult time and that she is a very honest woman. I am indeed very glad for you. I hope that she can now ct on the understanding that religion is not the property of anybody. Islam is not property of any militant, scholar or group of people who says "this is what islam says". Islam is what she will do best in her heart when she adresses God and submits, to God, only to Him, not to any hadithz, not to any tradition not to any purported doctrine. Only to God in her heart and mind, and let her forget about niqabs, crosses and folk-lore of any kind. I guess she must have been dying to break away from many shackles... Best wishes for you both, and may what unzila galaina through Muhammad be a source of inner freedom and peace for you both and for all sincere believers.

Alen, may Allah reward you, brother. thank you for this! peace Peace, Respectfully. Sorry for the late reply. Your welcome. I see here in Leicester a lot how women are abused and mistreated by men (sunnis) while these same men - sunnis, yes - live like they own the town. Let's save Obama and Clinton gal for 2018. Vote for Jennifer Garner as your next US president. Thanks. Peace.
